Posted: 08 Nov 2021 09:08 PM PST I wanted to inform others of the situation in order to better protect themselves. Keep track of your express replacement returns, if they do not show delivered do not assume Apple is going to take responsibility, contact them within 30 days from opening the case. On October 6th I opened an express replacement for my iPhone 12 Pro. On October 11th I shipped the item back and it shows tracking from Fedex. The package does not update tracking after the 12th. https://i.imgur.com/OiYPhbD.png On October 16th I get an email reminding me to ship back the item but if I already shipped it back not to worry about that email. No other correspondence regarding the repair has been received from Apple. Nov 7th I receive a charge on my credit card for $966.43. Note this is past the 30 day mark I contacted Apple today (Nov 8th) once I realize the charge. I spoke with a senior advisor on the phone that told me "We can not investigate the case since it's outside of 30 days." and to "contact fedex to either get the package shipped back to me or have it delivered". They were repeating what someone else was telling them so I didn't get to angry figured I would just try another route. Time and time again I'm being told that the window is 30 days, I have to contact Fedex. Fedex is telling me that Apple has to make any claim on the package. In fact when I enter the tracking number for a trace on Fedex it tells me to contact Apple. That they have a special contract. They charge you on the 31st day and then wont investigate any case that's older than 30 days. This is a complete scam and I'm afraid of doing a chargeback since I have a ton of apple devices. I'm beyond disappointed and angry. Here is a chat with their support [link] [comments]

How is the M1 MacBook Air able to perform with 0 hiccups and great speed with only 8gb ram? Posted: 08 Nov 2021 07:39 PM PST Many other computers in a similar price range would suffer if given 8gb ram. We have a family computer with 12gb (a dell), and when the number of tabs gets relatively high, it is slower. However, the MacBook Air can function very well with many tabs with the minimum amount of ram. How/why does this work? [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Nov 2021 05:39 AM PST Ended up returning my Airpods 3 this weekend after using them for less than a week. They would not stay in my ears. I would twist and push them is and within 15 minutes they would start to get quiet and I would realize they were falling out. I am sticking with my Gen2 My brother also returned his because the pod was so big. He had to get rid of his Pros due to ear infections, so he is purchasing Gen2s. Anyone else? [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Nov 2021 05:57 PM PST TL;DR: Adaptive EQ So I had Airpods 1 and 2. The further they were in the ear canal, the more bass you heard. This was particularly irritating when running because they would not stay in each ear equally so each ear heard the music differently. Airpods 3 simply don't do this. I tried pressing really hard on one to see if the bass response would increase and it didn't change at all. Also, typically with headphones/earbuds the lower the volume, the lower the bass seems to be. Airpods 3 seem to boost bass a little bit as the volume gets lower to compensate, providing a more consistent listening experience at lower volume levels. Overall I've greatly been enjoying them! (Sorry for all the people who's ears it doesn't fit! Maybe they should come in different sizes?) [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Nov 2021 02:08 AM PST Seeing as how Safari has about 25% of the mobile browser market share, I imagine the impact would be substantial, but I'm not sure how much of mobile ad revenue is from the web vs in-app ads. Thoughts? [link] [comments]
Siri no longer answers battery questions on Apple Watch Posted: 09 Nov 2021 01:36 AM PST Now when you ask "how charged is the battery?" Your told it can't do that. The functionality was originally the same as on iPhone but it seems no more. [link] [comments] |
