    Macbook air beeping and wont turn on

    Hello,

    Yesterday my MacBook air started making weird noises (like a broken fan or something). Shortly after, it began beeping three times with a black screen that would not allow me to do anything.

    It wont turn back on and keeps beeping when I try doing anything. Any ideas how to fix this while in quarantine?

    Questions and advise needed about downsizing iPhone XR

    Thinking about downsizing...A few questions and advice needed!

    I want to downgrade my iphone 10R to a smaller model. This phone is in very good condition.

    I used to have the original iphone SE. Could get it for about 150. The new SE seems to be around 400.

    I'm essentially wondering how much value I could get out of my current phone if I were to trade it in. It's in very good condition like I said. Would they give me a straight swap for the new SE? Would I have to pay 100 bucks or so? More than that?

    Like I also mentioned, the SE original is about 150 online. Would it be a mistake (from a financial standpoint) to try and sell my current phone and buy the original SE? I'm trying to get as much value out of this as I can.

    This post might be a bit jumbled but if someone could decipher and potentially give me some advice that would be much appreciated.

    *Yes the most obvious thing would be to go to the apple or t-mobile store but they're closed and I can't get ahold of them via the phone

    iPhone 7 is having problems

    Hello everyone I have an iPhone 7 and up until last night I can't make FaceTime calls, won't have sound on a video, can call people but it won't let me hear them and they can't hear me, won't let me make voice memos. My sound works though. My phone was working just fine until last night I went to go plug in my phone cause it was at 1 but then it said accessory not found (it was plugged into a wall) and it wouldn't charge until I took it out and flipped it in the other way. Have restarted my phone maybe 5 times already. Thank you hope someone can help me.

    Edit: also Snapchat video calls aren't working

    Edit: The problem turns out to be Audio IC failure rip

    I have had an issue for months with my phone restarting for months and never got around to taking it in, but today I dropped the phone and theres a small crack in the screen I'm worried they'll use that as an excuse for not fixing the phone would the apple store or a service provider be more likely to replace the phone?

    Is there a way to redirect address links to google maps rather than Apple Maps?

    On iPhone xr* I forgot to include that in the title.

    I deleted Apple maps since I don't use it but when I google places in safari and click the address, it just brings me to the App Store for Apple Maps. Can it just send me to google maps? Is there something in settings? I cannot find it. Thank you.

    Reminders on iCloud on browser

    My Laptop cannot upgrade to Catalina so there is no sync between my iOS devices and my mac for the Reminders app. I rely on the app pretty heavily and seriously struggling without it on my Mac. I was wondering if there's a way to leverage the "smart" reminder to allow the iCloud reminders app to recognize when i type in "tomorrow 3pm" to set the reminders to 3pm on the next day like it works on the iOS app.

    Or, just the ability to put a date and time on a reminder on the iCloud Reminders app.

    Can’t reset screen time passcode

    I've update my phone to the latest version, restarted the settings app and restarted my phone. I thought I had reset the passcode, but it didn't accept the new passcode and now every time I try to reset it again, my phone treats it as a failed attempt. What do I do? It's an iPhone 7 and it's on version 13.5.1 of iOS.

    Hi all. Could someone please help me find a test to see the length of my battery life on my 2020 MBA 16gb/512gb/i7? I wanted to see if my battery was draining too much when using Safari and Spotify. Is there like a video loop test or an internet browsing test to see if my battery is close enough to the specs Apple quotes it at on its own website? Thanks.

    MacBook Pro boots to gray screen and won’t recover

    I have a late 2011 16" MacBook Pro running the latest version of high Sierra, well kind of. I ran the latest up to high Sierra and when it was rebooting it went to a gray screen and stayed there. I let it be while Plugged into power And still the next day it was gray. I held the power button to turn it off and restarted it. The screen was full of horizontal lines and when I logged in it went to the same gray screen. I can't boot into recovery mode. When I boot into internet recovery it doesn't do anything. What else can I do?

    Macbook Pro pauses all video players randomly

    Whenever I watch a video, weather its Youtube, Hulu, or any other streaming service it pauses at random interval. Does this on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, and i have run a virus/malware scan than has come up negative.

    Brand new out of box 2019 16” MacBook Pro with cursor/trackpad issues. Cursor moves by itself, jitters across screen, sporadically non-responsive to inputs. Have updated iOS to 10.15.5 and have done SMC and PRAM resets.

    iPod 2nd Gen not transferring music/purchases to computer

    I recently bought an iPod with a whole heap of music and I want to transfer them to my Windows 10 computer. but when I go to transfer them through File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, it just syncs for a second then nothing happens, I also get the "Sync in Progress" for about a second on the iPod. I am running the latest version of iTunes and the iPod is running 4.2.1. Thanks!

    Could not connect to server message

    I'm running into an issue that's kind of interesting. I primarily support windows with minimal background with Macs.

    But to get to the point, the machine is throwing a message saying could not connect to server "password@server". I've yet to pinpoint what's generating the connection, may run some pcaps tomorrow.

    Has anyone experienced this? This doesn't feel normal. At least I'd expect Apple not to display a password plaintext.

    Left AirPod very quiet compared to my right AirPod

    I've cleaned them and I've reset them but it's still very unbalanced. They both have charge and for now I've put the audio more to the left in settings but I kind of miss the full capacity of my AirPods

    By default show all folders collapsed in finder

    I'm somewhat new to macOS but this is something that really bothers me. Even after a hard reboot, say I open finder and go to downloads. All of the folders I vhave even previously opened are expanded. All I want is for finder to by default have everything collapsed when I open it. I've searched every setting I can find and can't find it. Weird thing is in the past I swear I've found the setting for this. Any assistance?
