All right, Netflix. That’s enough silliness. Time to join the Apple TV app. Posted: 11 Aug 2021 11:31 AM PDT My wife and I have gotten so used to the AppleTV app for our 4 or 5 compatable streaming apps, that going to the Netflix app to search for something has become a pain in the ass. We don't browse Netflix anymore at all. Just search for things we all ready know exist. They must be losing viewers with this decision, right? [link] [comments]
Issues after changing Apple TV Posted: 12 Aug 2021 03:24 AM PDT Edit: Title should say "Error after changing Apple ID" I recently changed to a new Apple ID across an Apple Watch, iPhone 11 and Apple TV It's mostly working fine except a few annoying issues. I've linked the Apple TV to the iPhone and assigned it a room and the Apple TV is showing as a home hub on my iphone, but I can't get Siri on my phone to control the TV, Siri just says she can't find the TV. I also can't connect the Apple Watch to the Apple TV, I can see the Apple TV on the remote app but when I select it, 99% of the time I just get a message "Couldn't connect" with a message to saying to make sure the TV and Watch are on the same network.. It did actually work once or twice. The remote app on my phone seems to work fine Also unrelated to the TV, I've tried multiple times to add a HomeKit light with my iPhone, but it never connects, i just get a message to say couldn't connect and make sure it's on the same network.. I've wiped and reset each device and still no luck, all these things used to work fine before I changed Apple ID. Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve it? [link] [comments]
How to wire Apple TV with B&O Beosound Stage? Posted: 12 Aug 2021 02:27 AM PDT I have just purchased the Beosound Stage so i can connect it to my Apple TV 4k, however i am a bit confused on how to wire it all up, i have currently got the a HDMI from the Apple TV to the sound bar in the 'TV IN' port and then another HDMI in the 'TV ARC' port to the TV, however it isn't showing a signal. Any help would be much appreciated [link] [comments]

If Apple were to release an “Apple Stick + or Apple Stick”, would you buy it? Posted: 12 Aug 2021 12:27 AM PDT I personally would buy it reck I would sell my Apple TV HD box to get the Apple Stick. For me, smaller is better imo. [link] [comments]
Remote control won't adjust the volume if I use external speakers via Airplay Posted: 11 Aug 2021 08:39 PM PDT If I connect to my external speakers via Airplay (instead of using my TV's built-in speakers), I can no longer adjust the volume from the Apple TV remote. I get the visual indicator on my screen that the sound is being lowered, but nothing actually happens. I can only adjust the volume from my phone. Why is that and can it be fixed? Audio buffer delay with new ATV4K Posted: 11 Aug 2021 04:42 PM PDT I have a new Apple TV 4K. It is connected to a Vizio Atmos sound bar. With my previous Apple TV 4K, the 2017 model, audio played instantly on any apps. The new one always has this annoying delay of several seconds before the audio kicks in. This is especially a pain when watching short videos where half of the video goes by before the audio kicks in. I know the problem is not with the TV itself as I had to return my 65 inch Visio TV and use my 40 inch Sony and the problem is still there. This issue only happened after I changed to the new ATV 4K. Is anyone else experiencing this issue, and if so is there a solution? [link] [comments]

Match Dynamic Range/Frame Rate not working properly Posted: 11 Aug 2021 06:43 PM PDT Specs:
My Apple TV is set to the general recommended video settings:
I've tried shows that are available in HDR/Dolby Vision (Handmaid's Tale, The Boys, Hanna, Sound of Metal), however the HDR indicator in the TV picture settings does not appear. When using the native Android TV apps the HDR indicator in the TV picture settings does appear. What am I missing here? [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Aug 2021 03:31 PM PDT Having issues with my AppleTV which only presents in HBO Max: the bass is boosted like crazy. I know HBO uses a wide range for audio so I flipped on "Reduce Loud Sounds". Not sure how much it helped. I've run through basically every other audio permutation I can think of and, again, no joy. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, have you been able to remedy it? As it stands right now, we have to be extra diligent with the volume as it becomes hard to decipher voices and very problematic at night when others are sleeping. The setup is pretty straight forward: AppleTV -> ARC -> TV -> 5.1 [link] [comments]
Remote won’t stay paired with Apple TV HD Posted: 11 Aug 2021 06:26 AM PDT My remote stopped working a couple days ago so I put it on charge and after it still wouldn't work I hit the Menu + Volume Up to pair it. I got the onscreen dialog box saying it was paired and it worked. I checked the battery level and it was full. After I turned off the Apple TV the remote wouldn't work again. This time when I did the Menu + Volume Up the dialog box said bring the remote closer and it seemed to just time out. And the remote won't pair. Any help is appreciated. TIA! [link] [comments] |
