People need to stop freaking out about micro scratches on the screen. Life is too short. Posted: 29 Jun 2021 11:18 AM PDT I get it, you want your new phone to look nice and feel new forever, but it isn't worth freaking out over. Even with screen protectors it still will get scratched and they are a pain to apply lol. I have had my new OnePlus 9 Pro for a about three weeks and I have already have quite a few micro searches on the screen. It sucks at first but I get used to it. If you spent $250k on a sports car you wouldn't leave it in the garage sitting because you were afraid you would scratch it or crash it. You want to drive it and enjoy it like using your phone whether it's android and iPhone. Life is too short to worry over it! [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jun 2021 04:53 AM PDT I was floating a river last weekend and found an iPhone in a dry box under a rock in some rapids. I charged it and tried to use Siri to call the previous owner, but the data plan was deactivated and so Siri wouldn't work. I assume that it had been in the water several weeks with how much algae was growing on the dry box. Is there any way to find the previous owner, and if not can it still be used? I reset it to pull the IMEI number already (it was locked so I couldn't open it to get the previous owners contact info). It has not been reported as lost/stolen. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jun 2021 11:32 AM PDT I know many apps can alter the way they behave based on location, and you can even use IFTTT to program things like on arriving within a gps perimeter turn on house lights etc. But I'm looking for a way to change system settings based on GPS. For example, when I arrive at X address turn on WiFi. Or when I leave X address turn off WiFi. I don't want to bother with jailbreaking; are there any non jailbreak solutions? I saw a similar question posted, but it was 9 years ago so I was wondering if anything has changed. [link] [comments]
An iPhone feature I have been thinking about Posted: 29 Jun 2021 09:55 AM PDT I have all of these notifications piling up on my phone and I don't want to dig through my apps to clear them. Why has there not been an option to hold down on the app, and clear the notifications? I know I would use this all the time and I would be amazed if no one else would use this. [link] [comments]
Adobe Suite on iPhone - take photo and object appears on desktop in real-time; what’s that called? Posted: 29 Jun 2021 08:49 AM PDT As the title says, I remember seeing a video of this demonstrated where somebody took a picture on their iPhone using an Adobe suite app and it appeared immediately on the desktop version of InDesign. But it wasn't just the picture it was the object alone (no background) which was selected by the app. Anyone know what this feature is called, or have a link to a demo? [link] [comments]
Is this iPhone 12 Pro upgrade plan worth it? Posted: 29 Jun 2021 08:31 AM PDT I currently have an unlocked iPhone 11 Pro Max with 64gb that I bought in October 2019. I own it fully (no leasing/finance/monthly payment). Apple is offering me a trade in value of $525, but when I go on Apple's website, I also get a Verizon Special Trade in Offer of $700. The Verizon offer brings me to a $12.45 monthly payment for 24 months, so the new phone will cost $300 over 2 years. I'll also have the option to upgrade every year (which I like). I feel Ike $700 is a pretty big offer for a phone that's almost 2 years old. Has anyone done this plan? [link] [comments]
Can we expect a foldable iPhone in the near future? Posted: 29 Jun 2021 06:08 AM PDT I've always been an apple user and don't particularly want to stop. I've got almost the whole ecosystem. But it's getting time for me to replace my phone, I get a new one every 2 or so years. And I've seen my friend with the Samsung galaxy fold 2 and another with the flip. And it really appeals to me for whatever reason. But I'm big on iOS and I'm not sure I want to make the switch to android. If apple released their folding iPhone I'd buy it in an instant. They've had the patent for like 5 years now, and with Samsung steaming away with several generations already I would've thought they'd be on it by now. Any idea when we can expect this? Or do they just have the patent in case they decide to in the future, but have no plans currently? [link] [comments]
Video performance: iPhone 12 pro vs 12 pro max Posted: 29 Jun 2021 05:44 AM PDT I'm deciding between the two and drawn to the 12 pro because of size. How drastic is the difference in video performance between the two? Is there any during daytime or is it just during low light? How noticeable is it? [link] [comments]
I don't understand what will the Iphone 13 bring to the table ? Posted: 29 Jun 2021 10:47 AM PDT Looks like autofocus on ultra wide and 120hz display will be there only for pro models, according to various leaks here and there. I hope they will at least put 128go of storage as base model. [link] [comments]
