| MAC Bootable USB Installation - Downgrade MAC OS Posted: 19 Apr 2020 01:20 AM PDT Hi guys I can't downgrade my OS Macbook Pro (13 inch, Mid 2012) from Catalina to El Capitan. My problem is my bootable usb doesn't appear in the startup. Here's som info about my usb flash disk https://prnt.sc/s1xrdh https://prnt.sc/s1xr37 You can see in the screenshot that the flash disk is not available as an option for startup, the disk is not bootable but the installer says yes. Not sure if the problem is the flash disk or I miss something regarding formating the disk? Got any ideas? Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be registering as a Webcam. Neither Photobooth nor OBS seems to recognize it as a camera. Surprisingly enough, Logic Pro X recognizes it as a Microphone, but refuses to record with it. I tried looking up if there are drivers available, but no dice. Anyone have tips to make it work? | MacBook Pro turns off by itself Posted: 18 Apr 2020 04:17 PM PDT I have a 2017 Base Model MacBook Pro, and usually when I use it it is on my desk alongside my monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset. I have an adapter that I connect all of these to, including the power cable. But whenever I am not at my desk, and not connecting to power, around 90% battery, give or take 5 percent, my laptop shuts off automatically. When I turn it back on, it stays on until I log in, and then it shuts right back off again. Has anyone eae had this problem and how do I fix this? [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 18 Apr 2020 03:09 PM PDT I have a 2018 Mac Mini running Mac OS Catalina and I would like to dual boot it with Mojave so I can run some 32bit games I have on steam.. I downloaded the Mojave installer and made it bootable on a USB drive... I created a new volume on my hard drive using Disk Utility. When I restart and launch the Mojave installer it will not let me install it the only option I get is to reinstall Mac OS when I click on this it brings up the Catalina setup screen not the Mojave.... | How can I get FileVault to stop encrypting? Posted: 18 Apr 2020 02:30 PM PDT I turned on FileFault while a Time Machine backup was in progress. Bad idea. My drive has now been "encrypting" for nearly half a year, and I'm pretty sure it's not going to stop unless I proactively do something about it. Time Machine no longer works; I get the following error message:
Likewise, I cannot reinstall macOS because the drive is supposedly still encrypting. The problem is that FileVault does not indicate it's still encrypting. It seems that it is finished. Furthermore, I cannot turn off FileFault to bring things back to how they were before. The "Turn Off FileVault..." button is completely greyed out, even after unlocking admin access. For what it's worth, I'm running macOS High Sierra (Version 10.13.6) on my mid-2010 MacBook Pro. Any help would be immensely appreciated. [link] [comments]  | ||

I choose the built-in sound card - it works. The driver is installed with the latest version. The question is, the problem is in the sound card or in updating the OS? It's still almost as fast as the first day I used it and has been great for my coding career. However, one thing that really sucks about it is the fact that it came with 128GB SSD that can't be upgraded. I know you can get external memory but it's a hassle. It's also a problem as my applications and caches take up close to 100GB so I'm always having to delete cache to have enough memory :(. Anyone got any hacks for this? [link] [comments]  | ||
