    I will start by saying that this account is a throwaway. there is a good reason for this: a lot of money.

    let me tell you how I almost lost $10,000 in bitcoin and bitcoin cash and how the safe tweak saved my ass. Like I said, I have about $10,000 in bitcoin on my phone. a huge but profitable investment so far. The fool of me has as the only method of backup to the bitcoin wallet a photo with the phrase for recovery.

    today I had an update for a few random tweaks from a pirate repo. yes i know what you will think. I was using that repo only because some tweaks I needed no longer exist on the official repo. after I installed those updates the phone started behaving very strangely. No application other than unc0ver, isecureos, icleaner, cydia and cr4shed started. They simply opened for a second and died again.

    of course I tried to root fs restore but unc0ver kept failing at code sign. The bitcoin application with the wallet did not start. no app from App Store would. Not even the photo application to recover my recovery phrase. at this point I panicked because I lost 10k.

    Here comes my rescue. I opened isecureos and did a deep scan. Found 4 malware files, I was livid. the application said that it quarantined them automatically but I still couldn't open anything. I restarted the phone and after jailbreaking again with unc0ver everything finally returned to normal and I did a root fs restore.

    to geosn0w, a heartfelt thank you. you have become a capable developer from a simple youtuber and I applaud you for that. without you I would have lost 10k, all the pictures on the phone, all the numbers and my dignity.

    I learned my lesson. never pirating ever again

    For whom it may concern, iSecureOS v1.20 is now out with the following major changes:

    • I have implemented the Reset forgotten SSH password feature for the root user, after a fellow jailbreaker lost his jailbreak because they forgot their SSH password and ended up following bad instructions to delete certain files in an attempt to recover it (this is not related to iSecureOS). Now, iSecureOS can revert your forgotten root password back to "alpine" and you can change it from the app once again. This one's for you, /u/Srmingus Also, /u/fluffhead123 you lost the bet. :P

    • Added the option to rescan without having to close and reopen the app.

    • Bug fixes.

    • Attempted to fix the settings not saving for some people who use Unc0ver. Can you please test?

    Aside from all these, iSecureOS can now detect even more malware in the community.

    But what is iSecureOS?

    It's an iOS Security / Anti-Malware application that detects if you have known malware on your jailbroken device, lets you change the default SSH password, detects vulnerabilities such as SSH password being default (alpine), bad repos and tweaks, etc.

    [Help] iMessage / SMS broken on 14.3

    iPhone 11 Pro Max on 14.3. I've been battling this issue all day and escalating the resolution attempts. The problem persists. Here's what I've tried:

    1. Disable and re-enable Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime (didn't resolve it).
    2. Reset Network Settings in Settings > General > Reset (didn't resolve it).
    3. Rebooted to stock iOS (didn't resolve it).
    4. Restore RootFS with Taurine (didn't resolve it).
    5. Re-jailbreak with Taurine (didn't resolve it).
    6. Restore RootFS with Taurine, install Unc0ver, restore RootFS with Unc0ver (didn't resolve it).
    7. Jailbreak with Unc0ver (didn't resolve it).
    8. Reset all Settings in Settings > General > Reset (didn't resolve it).
    9. Erased All Content and Settings in Settings > General > Reset (didn't resolve it).

    This is where I am now, on stock iOS 14.3 with none of my settings, preferences or apps, and iMessage is still not working.

    I am testing by trying to send a text from my iPhone to an Android phone, and vice-versa, and also by having one of my bank apps send me an SMS to my iPhone. No messages are received at either end with the phones and nothing received from the bank (can't send nor receive from the iPhone). I've enabled the "Send as SMS when iMessage is unavailable" setting in Settings > Messages.

    Really at a loss at this point. I've tested meticulously and with everything I've tried it points at stock iOS 14.3 being the culprit.

    Are y'all able to send and receive messages on iOS 14.3? I know 14.2 had a similar bug but I thought that was fixed in 14.3…

    Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    ps: For those of you on 13.5-13.7 with perfect setups, think long and hard before upgrading. 14.3, it's not all roses and dandelions. Activator doesn't work, Installer doesn't work, many tweaks not updated still..

    If I'm not mistaken that feature was there in the iOS 14 beta it randomizes the private MAC address every 24 hours so I'd like to have that as a tweak

    I just downloaded iSecureOS and i got a vulnerability message telling me to that I have a default alpine password and I need to change my SSH Password. Before I do or change anything, I want to know what I am changing and why I am changing it.
