    I've long been an Apple fan as well as a gadget guy, but I've never been drawn much to the Apple Watch. Can someone explain to me why I would use one as opposed to simply pulling my iPhone 11 Pro out of my back pocket? What do you love most about it? What does it do significantly better than your iPhone? It being Black Friday, I guess I'm just looking for an excuse to pull the trigger on one.

    Move away from electrical appliances! I have a S4 and Im used to running the ECG a few times everyday just for fun (Im 18 years old) but today the watch kept saying "Recording stopped due to poor reading" even though the watch was snug on my wrist, and the EKG graph was making a normal rhythm. I tried cleaning the back and crown and restarting but it didn't work.

    There was a tip in the "Learn more" section that you should move away from electrical appliances that could interfere with the watch. I did that and voila, it was working again as good as ever. Turned out my brother had just gotten a new keyboard for his PC and my arm and watch were sitting too close to it, and that was doing some voodoo magic interference crap to the watch. I moved away from it and the EKG started working again!

    TL;DR. If EKG says "Recording stopped due to poor reading" or gives any other error all of a sudden, move away from electrical appliances and try again!

    EDIT: for everyone saying they're in an unsupported country/region; Im from Pakistan which is also an unsupported country.     Does anyone else miss the Walkie Talkie from WatchOS 5?

    I feel like the Walkie Talkie got much worse with WatchOS 6. Used to be (on WatchOS 5) that I could push the button and talk immediately, it would record what I was saying while it connected to the other person and then send the message with a slight delay. Each subsequent back and forth would be nearly immediate with no delay.

    NOW, on WatchOS 6 it needs to do that initial connection and "check if they're available" then it lets me send my message.

    Walkie Talkie used be a 1 second interaction with my watch making them super convenient to send quick messages to my wife. Now it takes longer to mess about on my watch to initiate the conversation that I might as well have pulled my phone out to call or text.

    Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

    AutoWake - is it absolutely necessary to have it as a complication on the watch face before sleep?

    Hey there,

    So I tried out AutoWake last night it and this morning it didn't go off even though it was still on and running. Now I believe the issue was that I switched to a different watch face by mistake before hitting the pillow. I just want to confirm that this indeed the case. In order for the alarm to work as well as the smart alarm, is it absolutely necessary to scroll to the watch face with the AutoWake complication on it?

    Odd it doesn't just work as an app in the background regardless of what face is showing.

    i need help guys

    hey guys, first time posting. i am going to be buying an apple watch for the holidays and i'm in a bit of a predicament. i can not decide between getting the series 5 gold aluminum or the series 4 gold stainless steel. i'm very tempted by the stainless steel version because of the higher build quality, but kinda skeptical of buying a generation that's older. they are both the same price but i have no idea what to do. help would be appreciated :)

    SS vs aluminum Series 5

    Can someone honestly tell me if the aluminum models get scratched/messed up ? This is my first AW and i don't want to Mess up my purchase. I think the SS and aluminum both look good, I'm not worried about that, Im just worried about scratching the face and case. I will only wear it in the office not to the gym, but still you never know and I would rather be safe. Ive read that the SS face is more durable but that the sides scratch easier than the aluminum version. Can I hear from people who have either of these models thank you!!!

    Bringing unboxed Apple watch outside the country

    Hi guys,

    I'm going to be flying outside the US next month and spending Christmas at another country. I was thinking of getting my friend an Apple Watch for Christmas but I was wondering if there are any airport regulations that would cause any issues with this? In other words, would there be any issues if I brought a brand new apple watch in the box and everything in my luggage? I would like to buy one as soon as possible with all the deals going on but Im not sure if there would be any issues.

    Zombie Apple Watch Series 4 - Can't revive

    I was really eager for the new Watch OS so I downloaded a beta over the summer. But now the watch is a brick. It starts the pairing process but always fail, whether I do automatic or manual or update or restore. I've been hoping that a newer version of the watch os would magically come along and make it all ok, but so far no. (Phone running 13.3)

    Help! I miss it!

    Irregular stand notifications with watchOS 6.1

    I upgraded from watchOS 5.x to 6.1 directly a few weeks ago and notice that the stand notifications don't come as regularly as before.

    The result is that my other two rings are complete and I have stay up till quite late in the day to get the stand ring completion.

    Which. Is. Annoying. To say the least.

    Is anyone else facing this problem?

    FYI. Free 2 year warranty added to the Apple warranty

    If you buy a watch at any dealer with Citi Bank Visa or MasterCard they will give you 24 extra months free this will mirror the Apple warranty , so you will have 3 years total. I called Them for verification and they said yes, and it does not have to be at Costco it can be anywhere I'm not saying it's better than AppleCare but it is free Happy Thanksgiving everyone

    Hello,

    As you know, sleep is essential in everyday life. I used to use the free version of "SleepCycle" on iPhone. I'm not willing to pay a monthly subscription for these types of applications. Nevertheless, I was wondering which was the best sleep tracker?

    - SleepCycle

    - SleepWatch

    - AutoSleep + AutoWake

    - Pillow

    - Others?

    What is your feedback on all these applications, unless the free version of SleepCycle is enough?

    Since I heard so many users mentioned that AW5 battery can't last a day or longer that previous series, I thought I would share my charging and usage habits.

    So I have the charging dock connected with on off timer. I wake up 5.15am and will go for an hour of exercise. I set the timer to charge starting 3am and by time I woke up the watch already fully charge.

    The battery usually depleted to 80+% after an hour of exercise with all features on (music + cellular connected, I leave my phone at home).

    Reach home and put back to charging dock. Clean up myself and settle the kids for school. About 45mins before leaving house for work. The watch will be fully charged again.

    With 10 hours at work the battery depleted to 65% by time I reach home again in the evening. Continue wearing till 11.30pm before return watch to the dock and the cycle continue...

    I'm tempted to get the aluminum S5 40mm for $355 which is the lowest price I've seen so far. Just wondering if it'll go any lower toward Christmas. BTW I'm only interested in getting the 5.

    AW5 -- Incoming call notifications are deafeningly LOUD when wearing headphones. How can I have different call volumes for watch and headphones? (No iPhone nearby)

    AW5 Cellular, when out walking without the iPhone, I have my alert volume high when I'm just wearing the AW by itself so I can hear it. But if I decide to wear my headphones and receive a call it deafens me it's so loud.

    Is there an ability somewhere within the AW to have one alert volume for the AW, and one for when wearing headphones?
