Posted: 28 Nov 2019 10:57 AM PST I just purchased an iPhone 11, but I'm noticing a weird message pops up twice when I plug headphones in to the lightning port adapter, about headphones not being supported. Eventually they work after removing and reinserting them once or twice more. Despite these being the headphones it came with... any ideas what's wrong or suggestions on what to do? Worried this could be the sign of a bigger problem. Restored twice and my iOS is up to date. [link] [comments] |
iPhone 11 Pro poor cellular speed Posted: 28 Nov 2019 07:14 PM PST My iPhone 11 Pro constantly suffers from slow cellular and I have 4G LTE unlimited data from Verizon and it always seems to bug out as well and seems to not load content all the time so I have to toggle turning my Wi-Fi on and then off and then it seems to Load again I'm not sure if this is an antenna issue or if this is just normal but this certainly is not what I paid for any help would be greatly appreciated thank you [link] [comments] |
Can someone explain how apple card and the upgrade program works exactly? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 06:34 PM PST I have an iPhone 6S and it's time for a new phone. I'm looking at my options and I think I found a route I want to go. But I just want to confirm and figure out how it will all exactly work. I want to get the iPhone 11. I don't want to buy it outright. I'm approved for a $1000 balance Apple Card. I'm currently with Verizon. Is it correct for me to think that I can finish my application for the Apple Card. And then go to an apple store (or order online) and go through the process of the iPhone Upgrade Program to get my iPhone 11? It looks like the total will be ~$42 a month. And I can then pay that ~$42 a month with my Apple Card (and also get the 3% cashback). Is that the deal basically? And then once I make 12 $42 payments, I can then be able to upgrade to the new iPhone next year? I'll probably sell my iPhone 6S online or perhaps trade it in. I also want to get off my parent's Verizon plan. I'm assuming I can get this new iPhone while I'm on there plan, and then afterwards, bring this new iPhone into Verizon and have them switch me into my own bill. Right? Or is it better to switch off their plan with my current iPhone 6S and then go to apple to get a new phone on my new plan? Or does it really not matter? Thanks in advance :)! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Nov 2019 08:22 PM PST I forgot my security questions. I know my id and password but forgot those questions. When I try to log in it says my account has been locked. The only way is to get an email, which mine doesn't exist anymore, or the other option, answer security questions. Their not what I originally made them. So now I can't log into my account. So what do I do? [link] [comments] |

Comparing brand new MBP 16 to MBP late 2013 Posted: 28 Nov 2019 05:12 PM PST I was curious if anyone could help me understand why my brand new MBP 16 does such a terrible job connecting to my 3 external monitors but my MBP from late 2013 connects no problem? I struggle understanding why this happens. The connector I use are from the exact same company, however MBP late 2013 has thunderport 2 adaptors and my brand new MBP 16 has thunderport 3 adaptors. I wake my MBP from late 2013 and all monitors turn on and have everything where they should be without any problems, but the few times I have booted up my brand new MBP, it has failed to start up the other external monitors and at times even maintain where all my windows were left (even backgrounds go screwed up) about 3 out of the 6 or 7 times I woken it up. I just don't get it and it is beyond concerning. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Thank you for your help/input! [link] [comments] |
iPhone 11 Pro Max defective speakers? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 07:03 PM PST I just got an iPhone 11 Pro Max for my wife and I'm noticing that the speakers sound terrible on it; I first noticed it during a phone call she made earlier ... it sounds like the speakers are rattling or something, like a metallic fuzzy sound. I thought maybe it was just the phone call so I tested some music, and it sounds bad no matter what I play. Plugging in headphones it sounds fine, and over bluetooth it sounds fine. Here is an example of what I'm talking about; top video is the 11 Pro Max, bottom video is the 7 Plus. https://imgur.com/gallery/xKZSNQb Anybody have this issue? I got the phone from Best Buy; should I just take it back and exchange it? [link] [comments] |
Semi-Urgent Looking for advice and help. Posted: 28 Nov 2019 10:30 PM PST I am in the possession of a late 2009 iMac. It was working fine, but running an older version of Mac OS. In the process of updating it, the Mac froze and I was forced to restart it. I am now stuck with a Mac that will not install Mac OS from the original method because it claims the HDD is locked. A bootable USB will not work for some reason, and I've come to an impasse. I need some help or some advice. How can I get an operational Mac OS back onto this thing? Thanks in advance for any and all help! DM's are fine if you're able to help. [link] [comments] |
iPhone 7 phone calls and most sounds + music stopped working Posted: 28 Nov 2019 10:19 PM PST My iPhone 7 started having problems almost 2 weeks ago with calls sounding very distorted on occasion. Then a week ago i could no longer use it to make or receive calls either through revisit, speakerphone or headset. The phone makes the call or receives it but I can't hear anything and neither can people on the other end. It also doesn't play music through headphones anymore. I can hear it through the speakerphone or connect it to my car stereo via lightning cord but can't hear anything via headphones (except Bluetooth headphones). Any suggestions? Thanks. MacBook Pro 13” 2014 USB3 devices not working. Posted: 28 Nov 2019 09:55 PM PST Every time I boot my MacBook it tends to ignore any USB3 key I put in, to fix this I reset the NVRAM with command + option + P + R. Then it will work again and read everything but I have to do it almost every time. Sometimes I'll just unplug the key and put it back in and it won't work again. Any ideas on a permanent fix before taking it into a service center? [link] [comments] |

Sounds in phone call repeating and failing? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 03:33 PM PST Earlier this week, I started noticing my XS was acting odd for both incoming and outgoing calls. After a little while into the conversation, it will start repeating the last sound 4 or 5 times before displaying the "Call failed" message. I've tried turning it off and on again, however that didn't work. Any ideas about the cause or how to fix it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Choosing the right UPS for my system Posted: 28 Nov 2019 03:25 PM PST I'm running a Mac Mini 2018 plugged into a 22" LED monitor and various peripherals like two external drives plugged into a powered hub, an audio interface, a small midi keyboard controller etc. I'm trying to figure out the best specs for a UPS but I've already googled and checked the mini's manual and can't for the life of me find out it's power consumption. Does anyone know where I can find it? I've listed the whole system in case someone has a suggestion for the UPS straight away as well. Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |

How do i change back how safari images are displayed Posted: 28 Nov 2019 12:45 PM PST I updated my ipad some time ago, and then the way that image searches in safari are displayed. You see, when you clicked on an image in image searches the image would be shown large and would fill up the screen, like in samsung internet. (Example: http://imgur.com/gallery/uCDUmkk ) But now it's small and i have to zoom in to see it (Example: http://imgur.com/gallery/qJVZboH ) Is there any way to turn it back? [link] [comments] |
Backlit keyboard recommendation Posted: 28 Nov 2019 02:48 PM PST I'm getting a Mac mini I plan to use in a dark environment. I want a backlit keyboard but not a tall keyed RGB full sized keyboard. I want something like the regular magic keyboard but backlit. Logitech has plenty of keyboards but I've never liked the feel of their keys. [link] [comments] |
