    The update to tsschecker was unnecessary. It added a few items in the tss request which didn't change the response of tss.

    Savage has its own blobs so it's in a similar situation to SEP where we can only use the latest version and need to test compatibility.

    Only futurerestore needed an idevicerestore update. Since the idevicerestore submodule of futurerestore is heckin old.

    [Tip] iTunes 12.9 disables restore/update from local IPSWs (Opt/Shift+Click)

    Applies to the latest MacOS/iTunes betas only - can anyone else confirm?

    Discovered this as I was trying to update my XS to iOS 12.1.1 (signed), using an IPSW I downloaded from IPSW.me.

    iTunes 12.9.4 (the latest beta) and Apple Configurator 2.8.2 have seemingly disabled Option+Click (MacOS) update and restore, forcing you to use the latest iOS version - currently 12.1.3.

    I replicated this on another machine and spotted another person asking about it on Twitter. Instead of trying mobiledevicerestore (futurerestore) I opted to use my other Mac. iTunes 12.8 still works a treat while the IPSW is still being signed.

    tl;dr: if you want to use iTunes to restore/update to a signed iOS version that isn't the latest, you'll need iTunes 12.9.3.3 or lower.

    Essentials is a tweak with many options for many things and is still in development. It was originally just a private tweak that I made for fun to customize my iPhone easily but since I lost my job I decided to do more with it and release it with a small banner ad in the tweaks settings to help me out.

    Changelog:

    • Color customization for CC.

    • Status bar customization - hiding useless annoying icons.

    • Folder color customization and little tweaks.

    • A lot of little toggles to disable useless and annoying UI stuff.

    • Options to disable annoying alerts including game center, location accuracy and beta update notification and more.

    • A few system wide tweaks for example disabling Parallax, large titles and allow touch while animating.

    I'm currently looking for about 3 people to help me test it. You will need to have either an iPhone x, or normal iPhone 6,7. You also need to know how to install deb files manually.

    If you would like to help me test it please send me a private message saying what device you have.

    I no longer need any more testers :)

    [question] Updated FutureRestore Guide

    I've been trying to get FutureRestore for MacOS, & Linux working, and have failed at both. I'm getting segfault errors on Linux leading me to believe there might be a dependency issue, and on the Mac it doesn't discover my device in recovery mode, and throws error 3 (can't init device). It would be amazing to have a start to finish guide with ALL of the steps. There is a guide in iosdowngrades that didn't work for me, after several attempts and using it with the old dependency guide. Are there are guides that include the dependencies, & using u/s0uthwes new future restore build? I've had success in the past on Windows, but can't seem to figure out the others. I would really like to test my FutureRestore build before the signing window closes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    because a ios 12 Jailbreak is coming in the future and the exploit was patched in 12.1.3 the versions from 12-12.1.2 probably can jailbreak. So my Question is should I update my iphone X currently on 12.1.1 are there any bugs patched in 12.1.2 which are important for my iphone or U heard something that 12.1.2 are not very good at the signal strength or how is the battery drain please tell me your experience?!

    So minimal, in fact that icons stay themed in unjailbroken mode!

    [Request] Save photo to ______ album that cycles deletion

    Mostly for memes. It'd be cool to be able to long press a photo and instead of tapping "Save image" I could tap "Save meme" or something. And it would go to a specific photo album, and that album would auto delete photos i dont know....a week old? Just to keep my meme bank fresh and automated.

    Trust me guys, this is the thing youve never known you needed until today.

    I'm trying to get a smart battery case eventually. I'm currently on 12.1.1 on xs and I heard the smart battery case only works on 12.1.2. Would it be smart to update to 12.1.2 or just stay on 12.1.1. Is it possible for a dev to add the smart case features on 12.1.1 in the near future.

    Been around the JB scene here and there since iOS 7 or so, but I've never done this "blob saving" thing.

    I've got an XR on iOS 12.1, probably going to stay there unless 12.1.1 has some major upgrade. Do I need to "save blobs" ?

    Using tsschecker, I get two files when I save blobs for iOS 12.1.2 on my iPhone X. Just wondering if anyone else is getting this.

    Edit: Slipped by me, there are two builds for iOS 12.1.2. I assume it's important to pair the proper ipsw with the corresponding blobs. Make sure to do so when you restore!
