Anyone else feel phantom vibrations while NOT wearing their watch? Posted: 28 Jan 2019 12:12 PM PST I'll be going about my business and feel that familiar bump on my wrist. I look down in anticipation of a notification, only to discover I'm not wearing my watch. Please tell me I'm not the only one. Or should I start making my way toward the padded room? Is there a way to change how strong the vibrate is for alerts? Posted: 29 Jan 2019 02:01 AM PST My lovely fiancé gifted me a S4 a week ago and I still haven't completely figured this thing out. It's tight on my wrist but I feel like the buzz is a little weak. So I'm wondering if there's a way to make this thing buzz stronger so it's more noticeable. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:17 AM PST Sometimes I answer a call on my LTE watch. Finding out it isn't going to be a quick call, I walk to other end of the house and find my phone, planning to transfer the call to the phone. Except I can't transfer the call--the phone shows no knowledge that there is a call active on the AW. Some experimenting makes it seem that you can only transfer a call from the AW if there is an active BT or Wifi connection between the watch and phone at the moment the call comes in. Is that correct? Does anyone have a clearer/better-phrased/more complete explanation for what I'm seeing? [link] [comments]

Who else whacks their bed to see if your watch is charging? Posted: 29 Jan 2019 03:35 AM PST When I in bed and my watch is next to me, I whack my bed to see if the watch is charging. This shakes the floor and wakes up the watch as it's in dock mode. Little life hack if you don't do it already. [link] [comments]
Shattered my series 3 Cellular, upgrade to series 4? Posted: 29 Jan 2019 08:20 AM PST Hello all, I've read a few comparisons between the two and I'm a bit torn. Dropped and shattered my series 3 a few months back (no Apple care like an idiot!). Cost to fix seems to be over 200 bucks for just the parts. May as well buy a new one at that point and sell this one for scrap... I know the series 3 with cellular seems to have good discounts at Best Buy and other places frequently. Is the series 4 really going to be worth an extra 250+ after tax and Apple care over a new series 3? On one hand I feel like buying a product that's coming up on its second year is silly, but on the other, aside from the nicer screen is there really a real world difference? I use the watch to tell time, track activity, occasionally make calls, go running, and use siri for home automation without needed to take my phone out of my pocket. [link] [comments]

Running Apple Watch owners: What are your marathon experiences? Posted: 29 Jan 2019 08:13 AM PST I'm interested in anyone who has experience running large distances in a competitive setting with their Apple watch. This is because I'm planning to do so for the first time (half marathon). Which running app did you use? How did your battery hold up? What did you regret afterwards? Which data has turned out interesting? Really curious about your experiences! [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:56 AM PST Although find my watch function says it's online with 0% battery (while charging). I didn't get apple care because I'm an idiot and really thought the watch would hold up in the pool. Am I screwed or will Apple replace/repair? [link] [comments]
Shortcut widgets on watch? (Siri, stringify or wink) Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:41 AM PST I'm a new owner or a Apple Watch 4. I got this watch mainly so I could detach from my phone and not worry about it especially when I'm at home. I am however running into one problem doing so, as I usually control my smart home with my phone. I have scenes set up to turn on/off/ dim lights and I usually run these via widgets on my iPhone widget screen. My smart home is not HomeKit, rather it is zwAve and i have set up shortcuts to run via both stringify and Siri shortcuts. My problem is, I can't access any of the widgets on the watch. Siri shortcuts aren't on Apple Watch (i must be missing something - I cant fathom that Apple left something so obvious out) Stringify and wink don't have Apple Watch apps. Anyone have a way for me to get widgets for my smart home on my watch? I'm currently telling Siri or Alexa verbally each time I need something done but I want to be able to do it via buttons so I'm not always forced to yell at one of my assistants. Anyone know any good Apple Watch Series 4 40mm DRY screen protectors? Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:39 AM PST I'm looking for a good DRY screen protector for my new Apple Watch to protect the Ion-X and I can't find anything. Anyone? [link] [comments]

High quality 3rd party mesh straps? Posted: 29 Jan 2019 06:38 AM PST I bought a purple metal mesh strap from some site called untold time or something, and it's total garbage. The paint is rubbing off and the magnet is too weak to adequately hold the thing tight on my wrist. I went to the apple store to check out theirs yesterday, and they wanted $150 bucks for it, which is so disgusting that I almost threw up on the guy. What are some actually good third party options that aren't so insanely and exploitatively expensive? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jan 2019 02:50 AM PST I have an apple warch series 0 stainless steel, and it seems that it drops so quickly . I have 83% and I have 4 h 42 min standby and 2 hours and 25 min usage with some notifications only. Is it normal? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Jan 2019 02:33 AM PST I even disabled Apple weather from Siri watch face to check if there was a conflict. I toggled Dark Sky off and on for Siri. Still no luck. [link] [comments] |
