Posted: 14 Oct 2018 12:54 PM PDT Hey everyone, I have a gen 1, 9.7 iPad Pro I mainly use for watching videos, reading ebooks and drawing. I'm going to buy a new iPad for watching vids and drawing and my old one will be for reading. My questions are: Should I buy the 12.9 or should I get the smaller one? Has anyone had any experience with the bigger one and didn't like it? Should I wait for the supposed new iPad Pro reveal or buy now? Thanks in advance for all your advice and opinions :) [link] [comments]
If the 2018 iPad Pro doesn't have a headphone jack, is that a dealbreaker for you. Why or why not. Posted: 14 Oct 2018 05:18 AM PDT There have been rumors floating around that the new iPad pro being released this month will not have a headphone jack. (latest rumor here) My question: is that a dealbreaker for any of you? Why or why not. Personally, if this rumor is true, I'm a little bummed and might opt for the 2017 Pro with the headphone jack BUT, this is reddit and I would love to hear all of your thoughts and arguments and maybe I'll say fuck it and get the new one. Thanks! [link] [comments]

Leave iPad permanently plugged in? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 06:36 AM PDT I have an 'old' iPad 9.7 Pro that I want to use as my smarthome hub - will I damage the battery if I leave it permanently plugged in? [link] [comments]
Restoring 3rd party app data without a backup? Posted: 14 Oct 2018 07:14 AM PDT Hello, so long story short, I erased data from my Ipad pro because I was having trouble with connections, turns out it was my internet provider who were mute on the subject that they had broken down. I use a drawing app called tayasui Sketches Pro, and unfortunately had not backed up the 60 odd drawings I had. I restored the Ipad from a backup, but have no drawings. Is there anyway to get them back? Or at least find them so that I can save them to the computer. I've tried a few software, but the free ones don't look for data for the app, and the paid ones are just a bit pricey, but for the sake of it I'd be willing to shell out. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]

Storage incorrectly full, and cannot fix Posted: 14 Oct 2018 08:37 AM PDT I have have an old 16GB iPad3 (MC705C/A) with iOS 9.3.5. It says its capacity is 12.5GB (which is guess means iOS uses 3.5GB?) and I currently have 0 bytes free. When checking the usage in settings, or when checking the storage graphs on iTunes after physically connecting to my MacBook, I have about 2GB used in apps, 1GB used vids & pics etc and 1GB in other = 4GB used by my calculations. So where is the other 8.5GB? Clearing the cache and rebooting doesn't help either. If I delete an app like Facebook which has 0.5GB it will give me about only 1MB free for about 2 minutes, then it goes back to 0 bytes. I tried this 'trick' where you try to download a movie from iTunes, even though you don't have enough space, and it forces the iOS to clear some junk, but it didn't work. I tried this 'battery doctor' app that has a secret feature to free up data, but I couldn't get the secret feature to appear. Anyone have any explanations or this, or ideas to help, or know of any apps to fix this? You shouldn't have to delete and reinstall everything to try to get that hidden 8.5GB back. Question about Notability Storage Posted: 14 Oct 2018 11:49 AM PDT Hey there. This might seem like a dumb question but I'm considering getting an ipad for note taking. Currently deciding between the two storage sizes of the 2018 model. My question is, I'll be using a lot of PDFs in notability and wonder how much memory notes like that would take up. Also curious as to whether it is possible to only store notes in the cloud and still be able to access them without storing them locally. [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Oct 2018 06:50 AM PDT Hello all iPad users, I am new with this device or in other words I will be, I checked on Apple Refurbished site for Apple iPad, Amazon and eBay sites as well, found some cheaper Refurbished iPads (9.7 & 10.5) for a great price since I am really on the low budget to afford a brand new expensive iPad Pro. The only way I'll be using iPad Pro (+ Apple pen or that other name, I forgot how's called) is for using Procreate app, for digital drawings since I wish for this many years already. If anyone has any thoughs/tips/explanations about whatrefurbished means or basically any other maybe great deals on eBay/Amazon, feel free to drop a link here. I'm looking for a cheap iPad (if possible below 500€ sadly) where Procreate will work and to draw with Apple pen. Sorry for a bit longer text posts but I'd love to hear your opinions, anything related to this topic or even purchases through those websites. Have a great day and thank you in advance [link] [comments]
