    Keep your apps safe with biometric protection. Protected apps will be blurred until you authenticate. You can customize the amount of blur from a little haze to completely obscured. To make protected apps stand out on the home screen you can enable a glow with a color and radius you choose.

    A new way to hide notifications

    Blur all Notifications including banners with the touch of a button or a gesture. On iOS 11 users can add the included CC toggle in settings, this requires CCSupport. This is the activation method for blurring the notifications. When enabled all notifications become blurred until it is disabled. When disabling it will prompt for authentication. If enabled when respringing it will stay blurred afterwards until you enable and disable the CC toggle again. This can also be substituted for an Activator gesture you choose. On iOS 10 users can use Flipswitch and Activator to create a custom gesture to activate the blur for notifications. This is the activation method for iOS 10.

    Blur while locked

    When enabled this blurs the notifications only while locked, on iOS 10 it acts as a preview if you rest your finger on the scanner to see notifications. On iOS 11 it acts as a nice replacement for the built in preview feature.

    Disable realerts, the second notification you get if you do not check it at first. Disable the display coming on when receiving a notification

    [Help] Does RC6 really work that well for people?

    I have been using the MP exploit in RC6.... no luck, always rebooting at 24 and 30 with no success. Everyone seems to have died down with similar issues and I'm not sure what to do. Am I just unlucky? Am I doing something wrong? I can't even go back to electra because cydia doesn't work at all. Asking for a friend here :((

    EDIT: If you still can't get it, try using rollectra/electraremover/delectra. I did this and worked on the 5th try. Ignore people saying its "pointless" or whatever

    I feel like it is just placebo effect.

    A couple of months ago, people were praising coolstar for making the most stable jailbreak talking about how they aren't getting any random reboots and freezes.

    There are so many more posts on this sub saying Electra worked great for them.

    And now all of a sudden, people have problems with Electra and unc0ver is better. I've been using Electra since day one, and I barely get any freezes, if not any on my iPX 11.3.1.

    unc0ver hasn't even worked for so many people, and there are so many people getting into bootloops.

    Apple still randomly signing 11.4.1 firmware, so we can restore using breakpoint function of charles with Proxifier.

    Using "Repeat advanced" of charles function & catch timing when signing open, copy response data(status=0, that means success receving from tssserver), Breakpoint function: just overwrite or intercept server data (status=94 error message, which called fail to receive tss server data) that using futurerestore.

    I've been using this method even back with electra and personally have never had to try more than 3 times before being successful. Just tested with unc0ver and can confirm it also works. If you are on attempt 10+ then hopefully this will help.

    Go to Setting >General>Shut Down

    Press and Hold Home Button until screen resets

    *For Flashback you turn your information into a deb file and then reinstall the deb file.

     

    Installing unC0ver: Use cydia impactor to install IPA acquired from megathread.

    YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO A FULL RESTORE (DELETE ALL SETTINGS)/ROLLELECTRA. HOWEVER, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO DO SO FOR A CLEANER JAILBREAK. Unc0ver WILL UNINSTALL ELECTRA FOR YOU (iOS 11.3.1 only).

    As of RC6, IF YOU ARE ON iOS 11 - iOS 11.1.2, YOU MUST SEMIRESTORE AND DELECTRA. DO NOT STRAIGHTOUT RUN unC0ver. if you do, you will be unjailbroken and have to wait for pwn20wnd to update.

    Make sure you are unjailbroken when running the jailbreaking tweak (Turn phone off and on).

    For those who want to do a restore/manual removal of electra:

    IOS 11.3.1 OPTIONAL: Simply download tweak SemiRestore/RollElectra from cydia, then open the tweak. Check option to do a full restore (DELETES EVERYTHING) or not depending on what you want. Then run rollelectra.

    IOS 11.1.2 REQUIRED: Need to run SemiRestore and then Delectra. Then fully restore it (erase contents and settings) if you want a cleaner jailbreak.

    IF you are using Empty_List (EL in settings), make sure to be in airplane mode with disabled siri. Disabling passcode will also help. Let sit for a minute or two. Then click jailbreak. Seems like all the guides for Electra on VFS to get a greater success applies to EL for unc0ver.

    As of RC4, there is still some errors and low probability using MultiPath (MP in settings). Personally I have had more success using the EL version.

    As of RC6, using your own dev account seems to fix the problem. Using signing servies, there is still some errors and lower probability using MultiPath (MP in settings) than electra's MP, but seems to be better than the unc0ver EL.

     

    ERRORS THAT HAVE OCCURRED SO FAR

    Use search to look for your error

    • Tells you that the phone will reboot/restart.

    It is suppose to do this. This is where unc0ver removes electra I believe. Just wait and after it finishes (a progress bar will eventually appear, but might take awhile to appear) then keep trying to jailbreak afterwards.

    • Being stuck at 1/48 & - Errno: 60

    Try switching from MP to EL or vice versa. Seems like MP is causing this issue. If you are on a lower or higher version of unc0ver then downgrade or upgrade to another one and try it.

    • Errno: 2 Test: rv==0 Filename: ViewController.m Function Exploit

    • IOS Firmware <8.3 and Link Identity Editor >=1:1.2.1 for INSTALLING TWEAKS

    • Videosubscriptionsd crashes shown in CrashReporter.

    • Unsupported

    Make sure to get latest version of unc0ver. unc0ver only works for iOS 11.0 - 11.4b3. Does not work with 11.4, 11.4.1, or ios 12.

    • Phone restarting at around 24/48 a progress bar appears (Bar can stay there for up to 5 minutes, sometimes even 10 minutes). Then says "Swipe up to upgrade" after progress bar is done.

    Jailbreak might restart at 24/48 or somewhere around there. Seems like this is where unc0ver removes electra and might restart your phone, causing a progress bar to appear. This seems to be intentional. The upgrade doesn't mean anything, just swipe up and then keep trying to jailbreaking with the unc0ver IPA. The "upgrade" just means that electra has been removed, and you installed unc0ver. You need to jailbreak again however.

    • Failed, Reboot.

    Phone will reboot. Switch to EL (empty_list) and keep trying to jailbreak. Problem seems to be caused from MP.

    • The settings are completely empty. Cydia is empty.

    Just to clarify, if you are stating that tweaks are empty then it should be because unc0ver removes tweaks. BUT, if the whole settings is empty, you are jailbroken, AND Cydia is empty too. Use this glitch to respring:

    • Battery drains like crazy

    After switching from electra to unc0ver, there seems to be an increase of battery usage. This is usually temporary and doesn't last for a long time. Just wait a bit (10 minutes or so). If battery problem still persists while in unc0ver (after 10 minutes), download cocoatop and detailedpowerusage. List results in comments.

    • SSH doesn't work anymore.

    Seems like unc0ver doesnt come with SSH by default. Go into cydia and install OpenSSH. Then you can ssh again.

    • errno: 22

    Remember that OTA updates need to be deleted before getting jailbroken. Delete the OTA update and install tvOS 12 beta profile

    • mobilesubstrate needed for tweaks

    Install apt.bingner.com repo then install "mobilesubstrate dummy."

    • http-win.cpp:160; Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates; SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate in certificate chain

    Use the latest cydia impactor.

    • stuck on 7/48

    Remove tweaks manually using semirestore & delectra (for ios 11.1.2) or rollelectra (for ios 11.3.1+). Guide above.

    • Cydia looks like the old UI after successful jailbreak.

    That seems to be normal, especially for iphones8 and above. Just use cydia like normal, install tweaks, and it will readjust itself.

    • Stuck on apple logo, boot screen, or spinning wheel (on this screen for longer than 15 minutes).

    If iphone 7 - iphone 8. Volume down + power. If iphone X, volume up, volume down, then power. If below iphone 7, use ReiBoot.

     

    Questions/Comments/Concerns

    • Why is it better to upgrade?

    Fixes a lot of issues (freezes, battery issues, etc). Faster Cydia that is approved by Saurik. A lot of devs support it.

    • Seems like there might still be problems with camera and reddit. Installing tweaks "SimmerDown" for camera and "redditcpufix" will fix these.

    As of RC4, seems like there is a lower probability of jailbreaking in MP. EL/VFS is about the same.

    • As of RC6, using your own dev account seems to be fixing the problem, but still some difficulty with signing services.

    • If you are on the beta versions of iOS 11.4 (iOS 11.4beta3 and so on) OR iOS 11.1.2.

    Seems like there is a problem with some users that are in the beta version. Keep trying using this guide to help you. If it still doesn't work, then wait for next version and try with that one. There seems to be problems with these two iOS versions for some users.

    • What does switching from Electra to unc0ver remove?

    This will remove all your tweaks and repos. Change your wallpapers to default. Change your settings to default (notification settings, all the choices you made in settings). Wifi Passwords and settings will be DELETED. Profiles such as tvOS will STAY. Apps and pictures will STAY. Icon Placements will STAY (including those from cydia once you install them again). Widgets will STAY. Safari information (bookmarks and history) will STAY. If you you used a theme, then return to default icons.

    • Seems like there is a storage settings problem. Cannot see how much space specific content (apps, photos, system etc) is taking up in the settings. Can only see overall.

    [Tip] You can use BackupAZ3 to backup your jailbreak data when switching to Unc0ver. Unc0ver will not remove the backup and you will be able to easily restore your Jailbreak data.

    [Release] c0verCydia - Tweak to replace large titles with normal size titles

    Cydia that comes with the unc0ver jailbreak prefers to use large titles instead of normal titles which I think just wastes space, so I made this tiny tweak. This tweak makes the titles normal sized. The tweak is really basic actually, it just sets a single value to false, so it can easily be turned into a FLEX patch, but I prefer classic tweaks.

    [Tutorial] How to FutureRestore from 11.1.2 to 11.3.1 on iPhone 6!

    Just successfully futurerestored from 11.1.2 to 11.3.1 on my iPhone 6. Figured I'd write the steps down since a lot of other places I searched were a bit too general for someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

    Prerequisites:

    1) Open up your SHSH blob in TextEdit or Notepad and look for the generator key. cmd-F or ctrl-F "generator".

    Take the key that begins with 0x right under that line. (Enclosed in <string></string>)

    Save this in your notes or anywhere for easy reference.

    2) Get the tweak System Info from Cydia.

    Go Settings>General>About>boot-nonce>swipe left on it and set the nonce to the key that you saved in step 1.

    3) Open the iOS 12.0 ipsw.

    Take the BuildManifest.plist and put it in your futurerestore folder.

    4) in the iOS 12.0 ipsw, go to the Firmware folder.

    You will see two .bbfw files.

    The one that corresponds with iOS 12.0 IPSW for iPhone 6 is the one that says 7.10.00 (Mav10-7.10.00.Release.bbfw).

    Take it and move it to your futurerestore folder.

    5) Finally, you need to get the SEP file.

    Go to Firmware>all_flash and you will see 3 .im4p files that begin with sep.

    You take the one that corresponds with the model number labelled on your blob file. In our case, it's n61 since the blob says N61AP. Take it and move it your future restore folder.

    6) Put the 11.3.1 IPSW in your future restore folder as well as your blob.

    Now your future restore folder should have:

    • your blob
    • 11.3.1 ipsw
    • the 3 files from steps 3-5

    You can rename the files to make the next part easy. I only renamed my blob to blob.

    7) Open terminal or cmd, go to the future restore directory. Write this:

    futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 -b [.bbfw file from step 4] -p BuildManifest.plist -m BuildManifest.plist -s [.sep file from step 5 ] [iOS 11.3.1 ipsw file]

    When I did it (MacOS), I wrote:

    ./futurerestore -t blob.shsh2 -b Mav10-7.10.00.Release.bbfw -p BuildManifest.plist -m BuildManifest.plist -s sep-firmware.n61.RELEASE.im4p iPhone_4.7_11.3.1_15E302_Restore.ipsw

    [Question] SwipeSelection with Swiftkey

    I've been using Swiftkey while being unjailbroken and have really come to love the words it suggests above the keyboard while typing. It also remembers often used phrases like email addresses, usernames, etc.

    In Swiftkey, you have to use force touch in order to move the cursor like with Swipeselection. However, I would rather not have to use force touch, but Swipeselection won't work with the Swiftkey keyboard.

    Does anyone know a possible solution to get the best of both worlds? (that is, word suggestion/remembering and swipeselection funcionality without force touch)
