My iPhone 5S has been getting really hot. Posted: 06 Apr 2018 08:30 PM PDT So I have a two-year-old iPhone 5S and recently it has been getting really hot, no matter what I'm doing with it (though it does seem to get hotter faster when I'm running a game). I googled it and pretty much everything said to update the iOS, which I hadn't done in a while, so I updated it but it doesn't seem to have solved the problem because the phone is still getting hot. Most forums seemed in agreement that heating problems are usually linked to software as opposed to hardware, so is there another sort of software fix I could try? Or is there some setting that might be on that should be turned off to keep the phone from heating up? It's never overheated or turned off because of heat, but I need the phone to last as long as possible so I'm concerned. I have also taken to leaving the Otterbox off of it just to let it ventilate more, which opens up a whole new can of worms since it is then more vulnerable to shattering if dropped. And like I said, I need it to last! Thank y'all so much! [link] [comments] |
IPhone SE camera not taking pictures or videos .... Posted: 06 Apr 2018 10:29 PM PDT Ironically, next month I will have this phone paid off. But today, the camera app doesn't work. I open the camera and instead of showing what I'm aiming at, it's just black. Doesn't matter if it's front facing or regular. I didn't try to restart the phone yet but I will in a few. I'd like to know how to fix the issue but more importantly I'd like to know WHY it happened and how to prevent it. Thank you!!! [link] [comments] |
My phone refuses to adhere to what I set my “default folder” to in my Notes app Posted: 06 Apr 2018 06:32 PM PDT I have a few notes folders in my phone (Gmail, On My iPhone, and iCloud), but the only one I ever use is my Gmail folder. I have it set to "default," but whenever I open the notes app, it always opens to the iCloud folder, which is all of my dad's notes. It's getting really annoying to have to close out of that folder, and then re-open my gmail folder. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Apr 2018 11:27 AM PDT Hello. So I switched from the Android for a change. In the S7 android, the Gallery is very practical. The screen recorder app recordings, for example, have a separate folder. The camera has a separate folder. Whatsapp photos/videos have separate folders...etc In the iPhone, all photos are lumped together and all videos are lumped together. Is there any solution to this? [link] [comments] |
iPhone 8 wireless charging issue Posted: 06 Apr 2018 06:34 AM PDT I'm not sure if this has been asked in here or not, but any help would be appreciated. When using the wireless charging on my iPhone 8 it will make the charging noise every minute or so. I have tried it with the case off and with different wireless charging docks, neither of these things has helped. I have tried other phones (iPhone 8 plus and Galaxy S8) on my wireless charger and they work fine with it. To make the phone work with wireless charging I have to turn it off, put it on the wireless charger and turn it on again. This is getting annoying as I charge it while I'm at my desk at work. Does anybody else have this issue? Does anybody have a fix? [link] [comments] |
No badges and alarm/timer doesn't sound Posted: 06 Apr 2018 06:02 AM PDT I upgraded to an IPhone X a couple of weeks ago, and I'm on 11.3 IOS. I've had 2 problems: 1) My alarm clock and timer - neither of them play a sound when they are scheduled to go off. 3rd party alarm apps seem to work. No other audio issues. Timer just reaches zero and nothing happens. Alarm reaches its time and nothing happens. 2) I'm not getting badges consistently. I'll see a badge on a folder level but when I open the folder I don't know what app it is. And when I open the folder, none of the apps have a badge. For the apps not in a folder, I see the badge, open the app, DO NOTHING TO CLEAR THE BADGE and the badge is gone (maybe that is desired functionality) [link] [comments] |
