[Paid Release] BackupAZ 4 - A new version that support modern jailbreak Posted: 15 Apr 2021 02:13 PM PDT Hello everyone, It's been 3 crazy weeks for me but the initial release is here, BackupAZ 4 has finally been pushed to Packix! Here is the link to its depiction : https://repo.packix.com/package/com.synnyg.backupaz4/ For those of you that don't know what this app is, it's basically a mobile version of iTunes. It allow you to backup many many (many?) things directly on your mobile device. Not only the basic applications data are supported but also many things related to your jailbreak setup. The app also allow you to reinstall these data later on, allowing you to restore your jailbreak setup right after a "Restore root fs" action for exemple, or after an iOS upgrade. This is possible due to the fact that BackupAZ 4 store your backups under iTunes safeguard location, meaning that when you restore an iTune backup (or with your Finder on your Mac), all your backups are reinstalled and will be visible :). Also (and this is important to mention), BackupAZ 3 backups are compatible with BackupAZ 4! Here is a full list of supported backups (this list is subject to changes, a big new backup / restore operation will soon come to the app: snapshots!):
There is one thing I would like to mention specifically: there are some features / options that have disappeared compared to BackupAZ 3. This is because I wanted to have a quicker initial release for people to be able to use this app in a perfect timing (right after several new jailbreak releases, which is the best scenario people could use this app for). However all these features are being worked on and will be reincluded in the coming weeks (I just started a new job irl so please be patient, I promise I'll do my best). As usual, if you have any questions, bug reports or just feedbacks please head over to my website at https://synnygr.dev/Support/support.php. While submitting bug report, please upload the content of /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/BackupAZ/consoleOutput.txt to some pasting websites such as pastebin. Please try to make constructive comments and not just "That app is bullshit", "I prefer this one", etc... I'm open to ear your feedbacks but please just be constructive, you'll see, both parts will benefit from this ;) I lied, I have another thing to say :p : this version is free for previous BackupAZ (3) users. This is a gift to thank you all for the support over the past years. I wanted to make it a new app as everything have been rewritten to perfect its compatibility (I also fixed a bunch of bugs that was present in BackupAZ 3) but I didn't want existing users to suffer from this choice, so here we go, enjoy it :) I hope you'll enjoy this app as I do! Have a nice day! [link] [comments]

Posted: 15 Apr 2021 08:35 AM PDT I can't stand how much iOS compresses the screen recordings, so I was wondering if there's a way to make it not compress somehow with a tweak or with Filza, Idrk 🤷🏽♂️ [link] [comments]

[request] tweak to make dogecoin price appear as notification badge on Robinhood app Posted: 15 Apr 2021 05:17 PM PDT Title. Nicebarx has a great feature where it shows notifications per app, with a small version of the icon with its badge. I'd love to be able to monitor doge's price in this way, with automatic updating every time the screen comes on, maybe. I'll consider a bounty for it if anyone is interested. [link] [comments]
[Question] Is Checkra1n Supposed To Get Any Further Updates? Posted: 15 Apr 2021 08:08 PM PDT Title. I'm on an Iphone X IOS 14.3, and checkra1n is hands down the most stable jailbreak I've ever seen. Only downside is no password at the moment. I was wondering if that is being looked into / being worked on. [link] [comments]
[Discussion] Bizarre unc0ver bug report: 6.1.2 can't properly Restore RootFS, while 6.1.1 CAN Posted: 15 Apr 2021 02:07 PM PDT I had initially jailbroken with 6.1.1 on April 7th, only to update to 6.1.2 hours later on the same day; today's attempt to Restore RootFS with 6.1.2 consistently failed, halting at step 26, whereas downgrading to 6.1.1 allowed the Restore RootFS to successfully complete. Any other feedback/comments other than 'switch to Taurine'? My reasons for doing a Restore RootFS have nothing to do with wanting to switch jailbreaks, and have little desire to try anything new. I do this once every few months, but today was because I've figured out why I can no longer dial out after jailbreaking; I foolishly allowed iCleaner Pro to delete the language files of Apple's stock apps. Update #1: Restore RootFS on 6.1.2 seems to work fine if the root snapshot was created by 6.1.2; I haven't tested it after installing a large number of tweaks, though. Update #2: Because of something that caused either AppStore++ or AppSync Unified to freeze up when installing, had to Restore RootFS (w/ 6.1.2) again; succeeded, but required RRFSing twice. [Question] Restore RootFS doesn't re-enable auto-updates for iOS Posted: 15 Apr 2021 11:59 PM PDT Hey r/jailbreak, I have an iPhone 11 Mini which I'm trying to remove the Jailbreak and put it back to stock. However, when after I Restore RootFS, OTA is still disabled even though I said Yes to the option to turn it back on. On the latest unc0ver 6.1.2 It sounds like the previous issue from older unc0ver not re-enabling OTA is still present. Anyone have any fixes? Pinging u/_pwn20wnd for awareness. [link] [comments]
[Request] Taurine libhooker 1.5.5 downgrade .deb Posted: 15 Apr 2021 09:40 PM PDT Does anyone have a deb? The 1.6 version causes insane battery drain. 1.0.2 taurine plus 1.5.5 hooker was perfect for me. [link] [comments]

[Request] VideoPace updated for Taurine Posted: 15 Apr 2021 11:03 AM PDT [[VideoPace]] is a tweak to change the speed of videos systemwide. Useful for watching tutorials and such that aren't on YouTube faster (e.g., I watch my lectures via Safari at 2x speed on my university's website). It works on unc0ver, but neither on Odyssey or Taurine. I know someone updated VideoPace, but it doesn't work on many apps, most notably Safari. There has also been a request recently for basically this, but it leaves out some notable facts (e.g., that it works on u0 and on some apps like Photos but not most others), and unfortunately, it didn't go anywhere. The code is open-sourced on GitHub; it seems very short, so to knowledgeable developers, I don't think it'd take long to fix it. Many thanks for considering my request! [link] [comments]
[Update] Merriam v2.0.4 - fixes A12+ iOS 13 preferences (maybe) Posted: 15 Apr 2021 02:32 PM PDT Hey guys, just pushed an update for Merriam In this version, hopefully it fixes the A12+ iOS 13 preferences not loading. Please somebody let me know.
Hope you guys enjoy and make sure to contact and follow me on Twitter for support and updates. [link] [comments]
Posted: 15 Apr 2021 01:00 PM PDT In the process of dealing with an unrelated networking issue I've realized that iOS does quite a lot of phone-home background network stuff, and I need to block/disable all of this in order to finish what I'm trying to work on. Unfortunately it's proving extremely difficult to get this stuff to stop. I've tested with a separate phone with a fresh never-jailbroken copy of iOS to make sure it's not some tweak causing me problems. I've turned off literally EVERYTHING on the phone: updates, background refresh, location, notifications, Siri and all the Siri switches for all apps, auto set time, etc. I signed out and turned of cell data for every app including the Settings app, yet it still phones home to the Apple mothership a couple MB of data a day. A mobileconfig+PAC isn't a solution because apparently some of iOS's background daemons are exempt. I enrolled the (stock) phone in management and created a dummy PAC that just blocks all hostnames and IP addresses without even checking what they are. While this successfully stops apps from using the net I'm still seeing a lot of system services constantly pinging Apple every hour or two. Like for example "Notifications" and "Time and Location" are always using data despite having all three of those turned off and the PAC blocking everything. Likewise, "Safari Services" is always using shit despite never having launched Safari and cell data turned off for it. Is there any blocking solution that can actually block this stuff? The "App Firewall" tweak would have been perfect for this, except I could never get it to actually work on any phone I tried and the dev ended up abandoning it and ghosting everyone. MYbloxx doesn't work because it's PAC based. A pihole or some other router solution doesn't work when I'm outside on celldata. Does anybody know if there are specific daemons I can disable that will stop this stuff that won't also cause the phone to freak out? [link] [comments]
[Request] More Choicy Preferences Posted: 15 Apr 2021 03:34 PM PDT It's awesome as it is, and I can pretty much figure everything out, but it would be nice if we could sort by Tweak as well, not just Daemon/Applications/Springboard. I know a few tweaks seem to be hooking all sorts of daemons and apps but I'd like to be able to see a list of those per tweak and go down one by one disabling injection where it's not necessary. u/opa334 you da man! [Help] Disabling Service Daemons such as Date and Time, Apple server hourly check-ups and more. Posted: 15 Apr 2021 03:25 PM PDT For over a year now, i've been made aware of the several processes and daemons that are used by any iOS device to keep in touch with the Apple servers. What i'd like to do is basically disable those under-the-hood, privacy invasive processes from simply running at all. I believe disabling them will help with battery life, as well as get rid of personalized ads while browsing the world wide web. Is anyone able to tackle this matter ? I am willing to donate to anyone able to help me on this matter, as i am not the only one trying to sort this out. [link] [comments]
