strange colour issue with new Macbook pro

Hi! I officially made the switch from windows to Mac last weekend, and so far I am mostly pleased! Except now im having a similar issue to someone else who posted on here 6 months ago

    https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/73nc9h/after_high_sierra_weird_colors_when_waking_up/

(some back story) So yesterday I accidentally dropped my new MacBook.. it was in my backpack which was sitting upright and as I turned around to get something the weight inbalance made it tip and thus fall a few feet off the table.. should I be worried? perhaps while its still early I should go and get it changed? There are no dents or signs of damage because the laptop was padded in the bag but also in a felted wool case, however my main cause of concern is the psychadelic display that appeared in the first few milliseconds of me opening the laptop today. the background was very colourful and as soon as I saw it I panicked..is my new Mac fucked already?. The gif in the post I attached is very similar to what I saw on my screen, and it seems that quite a few people are experiencing this. So maybe it wasn't the tumble that did it after all? What do you guys think? Should I take it to the store or wait till a new update is released or... return the damn thing and get something cheaper? ignore it (it hasn't happened again since).

    cheers!

Zipster alternative for macOS High Sierra

    Posted: 06 Apr 2018 08:08 AM PDT

Zipster integrates support for browsing compressed files on macOS Finder but it's been discontinued. The website says:

Support for this product has ended. There are known problems with this product on recent versions of the macOS; in particular, it is known to trigger kernel panics on some versions of the kernel when Zip files are ejected. This is caused by kernel bugs and the only possible workaround would be to completely rewrite Zipster to work in a different manner.

Is there any other tool one can use to browser compressed files on macOS High Sierra, preferable one that's free or open source?

    Issues with High Sierra 10.13.4

    Posted: 06 Apr 2018 11:40 AM PDT

I updated to the latest version of High Sierra this week, and after multiple resets of the PRAM and SMC, my MacBook Pro Late 2017 seems to be back to normal. Except this morning when I opened the lid to my Mac, it showed weird jumbled of colors for about a second before going to the lock screen. Anybody else having weird glitches with the new software update?

Where do I buy Mac OS? I can find it in the apple store for 20 bucks, different versions, what am I looking for, what's the right one to get? Or does it matter with High Sierra out? Mainly, where do I buy it? Best price?

Preferably a legal digital option for USB install so I don't have to access my disc drive? (IF possible. PC is setup... out of sight :P) Thanks in advance?
