- My frozen phone won't turn off and is thus a useless brick until the battery runs down. Apple refuses to restore to backup unless I turn off Find My Phone-which I can't because the phone is totally frozen. What if this happens in two weeks when I'm abroad? Is there any workaround?
- Looking for apps that best use the display of the iPhone X for demo purposes.
- Battery health.
- Google Inbox App by Gmail is finally compatible with Apple iPhone X display

However, over the last couple days I'm getting weird glitch where when I zoom in on a picture or swipe app screens it shakes and doesn't sit still. I'm Also experiencing keyboard troubles where keys are selected automatically and sometimes random letters or keys are clicked! I've never seen anything like this anywhere and was wondering if anyone has experienced something similar? Of course I've reset my phone but it eventually comes back. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 07 Jul 2018 03:03 PM PDT Hi! I'm looking to get an X sometime next week.However, as it is a $1000 phone, I am stressing about finding a good case and screen protector. The slimmer the better and I rarely drop my phone. I do have my eye on one of the Apple silicon cases. Are those worth the $40? I rarely drop my phone so as long as a case can cover against a few yearly drops then I'm happy. If anybody knows any other tried and tested slim cases I'd love to hear about them. The same goes for a tempered glass screen protector. I don't want a $2 or $5 one as I've had bad experiences with many but I also don't want to go as high as $40-45. Overall, if anybody has recommendations for iPhone X cases and screen protectors it would be very helpful and greatly appreciated! [link] [comments]  | ||
| Question: 2nd hand iPhone X (256 gb) Posted: 07 Jul 2018 06:17 AM PDT I was checking on a 2nd hand online market for a iPhone X sale and found one which is sold for 900€ (256gb, no traces of usage, no cracks so good shape and with purchase receipt (febr. 2018)). My iPhone 6 is still usable but I'm considering an upgrade (because home button doesn't work and touch-ID begins te fail).. Posted: 07 Jul 2018 08:59 AM PDT I've never bought an "apple official" case, and considering this phone is already almost $1,200 it's a little hard to justify spending even more unnecessary money. But at the same time (and for the same reason) why not? What's an extra $50 if you've already spent $1,200? Anyways, I guess I'm just wondering if the leather case for the iPhone X is really worth it, they do look really nice in the pictures. How does it feel and does it work with wireless charging? | Posted: 06 Jul 2018 08:21 PM PDT I am a bit flustered so sorry for the tone of this. Until tonight, I absolutely loved my iPhone X. But, when using it, it randomly froze. I was just listening to Apple Music. No other apps were running, no background app refresh. Up to date software. Never been jailbroken. The phone will not turn off. Pressing down the buttons does nothing. The only feature that works is Siri. No other button or icon works. iTunes refuses to restore from backup because I can't turn off Find my Phone. Right now, it's on 58% battery so it'll be a while before the battery finally runs out and I can restart the stupid thing. At least now, it's a mild inconvenience. But this could be really bad two weeks from now, when I'm in Finland. I am staying with friends who live three hours from the airport, so I can't not have a phone. I never doubted that I could trust my iPhone to work, this has never happened before and I've had some type of iPhone since 2010. Is there anything that can be done aside from allowing the battery to run down? Is this a unique to the iPhone X problem? At this rate, I likely won't have a phone until mid-tomorrow. I don't say this much, but this is completely unacceptable. Shame because I loved the iPhone X and will miss quite a few of its features, but if this is going to be a routine problem, I'll have to return it. With my job, I can't not have a phone for hours at a time, and with traveling, it could be disastrous. Edit: got it to work! Did one last salvage attempt at resetting and it worked, three hours after bricking. It's a software glitch so no need for new phone. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Looking for apps that best use the display of the iPhone X for demo purposes. Posted: 06 Jul 2018 09:28 PM PDT I work for a retail store selling phone and am setting up some new demo devices for a live bar we are installing. Using some Apple tools I have been supplied I have gotten our iPhones into the demo mode but the iPhone X kit didn't preload an apps. I synced across the apps supplied for the iPhone 7 and 8 but the majority don't fill the full screen of the X and can't be updated. I'm not an Apple user myself so what I am looking for are some good quality free apps that make good use of the iPhone Xs screen or other hardware features that I can load onto it.
