Posted: 13 Dec 2021 01:25 PM PST It seems that IOS 15.2 now support PNG-files (transparent image) over iCloud. I mean; saved PNG files on e.g. iPhone is still transparent when I get them via iCloud on my iPad. [link] [comments]

AirPods Max noise cancelling makes me sick. Posted: 13 Dec 2021 02:42 PM PST Hello. I bought AirPods Max for Christmas, specially because they had Transparecy mode and Noise-Cancelling mode. Those are the two features I was more excited about. Well, so after ordering them (not before), I went to an Apple Store and tried them. I have to admit transparecy mode is just amazing. But, I do not know why, when I activated noise-cancelling I started feeling really weird. It felt like a lot of presssure in my ears, that was producing me a headache and made me feel dizzy. Even, after that, I was still feeling dizzy, and had a terrible headache. I did not cancel the order anyway, maybe I get used to it or something. I just wanted to ask if someone had a similar feeling. They are gonna be my first active noise-cancelling headphones. Thank you. [link] [comments]

Apple is stealing almost $1,000 from me and doesn't want to fix it Posted: 13 Dec 2021 01:36 PM PST I bought a mac on Oct 19 for $2,659.00 plus 7% tax which equals $2,845.13 Apple gave me an "Instant Trade In" credit for $880 at the time of purchase because I had agreed to turn in my old Mac, and I finance the rest ($1,779) through monthly installments on my Apple Card After I purchased, I called customer service and cancelled the Trade In, and Apple said okay, but now we have to charge the $880 to your mastercard, since they cannot add it to the monthly installments, I said okay that is fine and that is why on october 19 I was charged $1066.13 which is $880 plus the $186.13 in taxes for the full purchase (880 + 186.13 = 1,066.13) After paying that I still had left to finance $1,779 on monthly installments to completely pay off the Mac (1,066.13 + 1,779 = 2,845.13) So that accounts for the full price of the mac, everything's was perfect up to there, but on November 30 (2 weeks after receiving the product) apple sent me an email saying my trade in was cancelled and charged my Apple Card for $941.60. I have talked to Goldman Sachs and they are unable to help, they told me all I can do is call Apple, they disputed the charge but so far it is still on my Apple Card and I doubt it'll change anything. I have talked to 4 different Post-Sales Customer Service Reps at Apple (every department keeps transferring me to them) and they all keep telling me the same thing, that it was because the trade in was cancelled. Me, being frustrated, have even asked them to do simple math and add up the first charge of $1066.13, the second charge of $941.60, and the monthly installments of $1,779, and to explain to me how I am being charged a total of $3,786.73 for a Macbook whose full retail price is $2,845.13 Maybe the charge for $941.60 is correct, and that is fine but then someone explain to me the charge for $1,066.13. Am I being charged $1,066.13 in taxes? What can I do? Apple is not even understanding the situation no matter how many different supervisors I talk to or how clearly I explain it. Am I missing something here? Please see the attached link which shows a screenshot of all the charges. Sorry for the dramatic title but I am very frustrated at this point. Thank you so much for the help in advance :( [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Dec 2021 08:40 PM PST This might seem silly but I swear it's a legit issue and I refuse to believe I'm the only one. I have a fairly large music library, and on a day-to-day basis I mostly stream it: I have an iTunes Match subscription so I can keep my library synced across my work computer, my mobile devices and my personal Macbook. However, I also feel really strongly about keeping some of that music backed up locally, because it's irreplaceable: friends' bands who only ever made CD-Rs, old finds from MP3 blogs, Bandcamp stuff that's not guaranteed to stay available. The slight chance that Apple's cloud storage could lose it just isn't worth the risk of using Match exclusively. The wrinkle is that I can't keep all those local files on my personal laptop's internal hard drive — it's just too much space — so I have it on an external drive. When I'm listening on any other device it's seamless; it streams from Match and I don't think about the setup. But when I listen on my own laptop it kind of sucks: I *have* to be at my desk, plugged into the drive. If I'm on the go and I accidentally hit play on one of those songs, it downloads to the computer's hard drive and breaks the connection to the version on the external HD. It's just a pain. Am I out of my mind? Is there a better way to do this? Or do I really have to choose between convenience and safety? I just got a new MBP, which will mean moving from Mojave to Monterey (i.e. iTunes to Music), and I just want to get this all sorted out before start moving my data. [link] [comments]

App Store app access user contacts and there’s no way to revoke that permission Posted: 13 Dec 2021 02:00 PM PST I discovered that while playing with the new App Privacy Report feature on iOS 15.2 And if you go to Privacy -> Contacts, App Store isn't even listed so you can't revoke the permission. Is it me or does updating MacOS take a stupid amount of time Posted: 13 Dec 2021 09:32 PM PST Both my old 2014MBP and my gfs M1 Pro 14 inch are taking like 30+ minutes to update MacOS. This is kind of ridiculous, i thought these new machines are supposed to be fast or is apples method of updating just so convoluted that it just has to take this long. [link] [comments] |
