Posted: 25 Mar 2018 07:04 AM PDT A German Youtuber mentioned briefly that there is a GoodNotes 5 Beta out. Unfortunately it does not seem to be public yet. You can get a glimpse in his newest video (http://youtu.be/PB377oQEyE8) at around 5:01 min. Thought you guys would be interested. [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Mar 2018 09:34 AM PDT The biggest thing that I find iPad users are missing out on compared to MS Surface users is... the kickstand! Is there a good kickstand case out there for the iPad? I would really like to be able to have much more flexibility for viewing angles when I'm using the iPad on my lap. [link] [comments]
What’s wrong with this iPad air 2 screen? Posted: 25 Mar 2018 02:57 AM PDT

Posted: 25 Mar 2018 10:05 AM PDT This is an iPad Mini, from about 2014/2015 This thing is insanely sluggish. It's useable but frustrating. Is there a way to make this thing more responsive? I'm using this for email, web browsing, Spotify, Google Drive, reading, and YouTube. All of the apps are equally sluggish. Even keyboard input is very delayed. My friend had a Kindle Fire that was about as old as this iPad Mini and it's still smooth to this day. I find it very hard to believe that Apple's technology is so obsolete that it can't even accept keyboard inputs with ease after 4 years. My guess is the latest update that was allowed to be put on it was also the one that significantly reduced its capability as they have incidentally admitted to doing? The iOS environment and ecosystem is awesome but the products they are putting out are as bad as the company that will sabotage its own products with its own software. Thanks for any suggestions and please redirect me if there is a more appropriate Reddit for this. Note: I suspect the RAM is tapped out somehow. I'm unsure of how to check or fix that. Note taking app on iPad pro OneNote vs GoodNotes Posted: 25 Mar 2018 03:05 AM PDT Good morning everyone. I know there is plenty of posts about this, but they are all every factual and don't describe user's experiences. I own an iPad Pro 10.5 with Apple Pencil and logitech smart cover. I am taking noted at work during meeting and conferences. I am also using the iPad for taking session notes as I am a therapist (no more loose paper leafs!) I have been using Microsoft OneNote since June 17 as my note taking app. It's been overall working phenomenal for me. It syncs through my devices (PC, Windows laptop, iPhone, even apple watch!) like a charm (provided I have a fast internet connection. Had a syncing problem once, not cool!). Overall, my note taking needs are not what they used to be when I was in university. There are two things I don't like about OneNote. First thing is that it will not take advantage of the pressure sensor on the apple pen/iPad pro. Second, it's very emotional, but I have a hard time trusting Microsoft as they have been a really disappointing company in the past. I have recently looked at other options for note taking. Most people say that the best note taking app is GoodNotes 4. So here are my questions: Is it worth it to spend the $8 USD ($12 CAD) for GoodNotes? How big of an improvement should I expect from OneNote? Is it possible to access GoodNotes from a PC/laptop/MacBook (thinking about getting one)? On the opposite, why would I want to stay with OneNote. Is there any other note taking app that I may have overlooked that could possibly be a better fit? [link] [comments]
Help return lost iPad Pro to owner Posted: 25 Mar 2018 10:36 AM PDT I found an iPad Pro 9.7" and would like to give it to the owner. Apple says they can't do anything and the police department has returned it to us. It is disabled due to failed attempts otherwise I'd text someone with Siri. [link] [comments]
My iPad is stuck in recovery mode. Please help! Posted: 25 Mar 2018 03:50 AM PDT My iPad is stuck in recovery mode and when I go to update through itunes it just says unable to update or restore (error nine) I have tried multiple cables, ports and even two laptops. Does anyone have any advice? I need this for tomorrow. [link] [comments]
How does this question (what notes program to use) keep getting asked? Posted: 25 Mar 2018 01:28 PM PDT I want to know about cool things I can do with the iPad Pro and I get excited when I see there's a new post in r/ipad but damn ain't it just "what notes program do I use" post! I ask this at the risk of it already been brought up, but how do people keep asking this same question over and over? There's GoodNotes, there's Notability, and OneNote. There's 100s of posts detailing the finer points of these three. I use my ipad daily, it's my main device, but I find this sub too sparse compared to the main r/apple subreddit. Is it most note apps cannot change the front size?? Posted: 25 Mar 2018 09:31 AM PDT I am trying to use an iPad to be my main computer, but apps like Evernote, OneNote cannot change the front size and then everytime I need to turn on my pc to change that front size, this make me impossible to replace my computer with my iPad, any suggestions to deal with this problem?? Best note taking app. Sorry if this question has been repeated. Posted: 25 Mar 2018 12:46 PM PDT Hi, I'm looking for an all in one note taking app for iPad Pro 10.5. I apologise in advance as this type of question has been asked before, but I'm looking for the latest comparison before I make my purchase. MY USE CASE I'm basically going for my commercial airlines training, so I imagine there would be a lot of diagrams involved. I wouldn't mind audio recording, but honestly, I'm not sure how useful would that be. However, I would love to hear your opinion on it! I would definitely want an app that has an amazing handwriting algorithm (read paper like feel), and which is easy to use. I don't mind complicated UI, as long as all the features that could be available are in fact available. I would also like a good minimalistic UI, that doesn't distract from the matter in hand i.e taking notes. Please do note this is an ideal app. I'm not sure that such an app exists! However, I would love to have your views on this! Thank you! P.S. I'm currently researching on Notability, Goodnotes and Notes Plus. But, I'm not able decide which one to go for [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Mar 2018 11:38 AM PDT I did the find my iPad thing and nothing at all. Anything else people suggest? Also if I buy a new one, is there a reset function to get all the apps in at once? (12.9" iPad Pro White with a logitech keyboard) I lost it in NE DC, called the places I was at but am sort of surprised it's not pinging the internet [link] [comments]
Gmail lets you bypass Safari restrictions? Posted: 25 Mar 2018 07:25 AM PDT Hi all, We recently caught my son using his iPad to get somewhere he shouldn't be. What's strange is that we had turned off Safari access. However, when you click a link in Gmail, it opens up a browser. Chrome is not installed, so it must be Safari - but it isn't "full" Safari. What's worse is that Safari doesn't track the history of what happens in that browser window, so I can't look at the History in Safari to see where else he might have been. I checked Gmail app settings but there is no way to block it from opening a browser window. Other than removing Gmail, is there any way I can disable or at least track what is happening here? Thanks! What's the cheapest but still usable iPad today? Posted: 25 Mar 2018 02:06 AM PDT I'm thinking of getting an used iPad for the first time to use with my current phone. All sizes seem fine for me. [link] [comments]
For those with multiple iPads, how do you keep everything synced? Posted: 24 Mar 2018 09:05 PM PDT Does iCloud backup work on both? Do they both mirror each other? I was thinking about getting a smaller iPad to go with my 12.9 but am concerned about how I'd keep everything the same on both. Like if I download apps, or change something I'd want both iPads to mirror each other [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Mar 2018 04:26 PM PDT I've had an Ipad Air 2 16gb for awhile and considered upgrading for more capacity and newer processor. However, the most logical route in my mind would be the ipad pro 10.5. Is there any reason to upgrade to a pro 9.7 at this point? Should I try to dump the Ipad Air 2 prior to the upcoming news for new Ipads? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
