    Discovered this by accident when pressing the touchpad button on my previous gen Siri remote 4 times (the remote that most people hate). Searched Reddit for this but found nothing so apologies if this has been posted before.

    Why would my AppleTV slowly start losing HDMI-CEC support one function at a time?

    A month or two ago, my AppleTV 4K stopped being able to turn my TV on and off, but the other functionality remained. Over that time, HDMI-CEC has slowly started falling off one function at a time. Two weeks ago, it stopped allowing volume control of my receiver (Denon AVR-X3300W). As of today, it still supports Power On of the receiver, but will no longer turn it off.

    I noticed when searching through AppleTV settings just now that "Control TVs and Receivers" is set to Off and this option cannot be changed.

    I'm sure the AppleTV has undergone a handful of software updates over this time (they're set to automatic), but the TV is banned from my network and the receiver hasn't gotten an update since August AFAIK (those are manual).

    So far, I have tried hard power cycling everything, a factory reset of TV, AppleTV, and Receiver, and changing cables. No luck with any of these.

    Any ideas?

    NBA league pass won’t work on Apple TV

    It's hard to explain. I have an account, have the league pass, and can't watch NBA TV on it. NBA TV is in nba league pass. I click on the national NBA TV game, in this case it was Blazers vs Lakers, and it just takes me to a screen asking me for the league pass, I sign in, renew my subscription, restore purchase whatever, it still doesn't work. It just stays at the screen asking me to confirm my subscription.

    looking for an app recommendation for a movie/tv show watchlist tracker that will sync between iOS, iPadOS and tvOS. JustWatch is not cutting it - too many bugs/issues.

    Does anyone else get hdcp issues with Disney + when using a sound bar. It only happens on one of my ATVs. Both the new version, it used to work. Disney is not of any help. Everything is up to date. It's only on Disney + I get this issue.

    Help with Apple TV paired with iPhone

    I am brand new to the Apple ecosystem and so far I'm really enjoying it. But I ended up pretty frustrated last night. I have my Apple TV connected to iPhone so I can control it which I love. But then I wanted to watch something just on my iPhone and it started playing on the tv instead. Still not sure how I did it, but I managed to make it stop. But then I couldn't get it to play on my AirPods anymore, it just wanted to use my phones speakers until I turned the tv off.

    Is there any way to control Apple TV with my phone but still do other things separately on my phone like listen to something else or watch a video through my AirPods while Apple TV is still playing?

    Mildly annoying. Every time I boot appletv after its went to sleep the sound doesn't work.

    And I have to reboot the system before it starts working again. Whats up with that?

    Also, everyone once in awhile the sound will be extremely echoed.

    4:2:0 at 24hz impossible?

    Can someone explain me why I can't make my Apple TV output 4:2:0 at 24hz content? It just gives me 4:4:4, and I want it to be the way it meant to be.

    tvOS 15.x OTA install doesn't work

    Ahoihoi

    I'm alone with the following problem?

    I have an "Apple TV HD" and I was unable to install any beta of tvOS 15, it's stuck after the reboot. It seems it doesn't finish the installing. But same with the final release with tvOS 15.0. I had to install it via usb-c cable and IPSW file. (Yes, after a reset of the ATV)

    And now, the same with the tvOS 15.1.1 update 😔

    remote help please.

    i have an ATV 4K. the remote died. the remote app on my ipad no longer functions. can i use the remote from my previous ATV? the model before the 4k model. if not, what are my options? thank you.

    YouTube app constantly switches resolution or HDR?

    When my tv switches resolution or HDR mode it will flash black. This usually happens when I start a show that's a different resolution than the menu such as a show in Dolby Vision. Problem is the YouTube app does this constantly on the menu as well as while playing videos. Audio keeps going but the video flashes as the TV has to reset the video. Anybody else experience this? Is there a fix? This is on a first generation appletv 4K.

    AppleTV keeps disappearing from smart TV

    On Bravia 9500g. Anyone else have this problem?

    It's available on the google play store. I can download it normally. It just that it keeps deleting itself and I have to manually go into the google play store and 'enable' it to have it downloaded again. I can have it open for 1-2 hours max before it deletes itself again.

    Content, up next, last play position is all fine.
