    I changed my Apple ID and it seems to have worked but when I look at the email under my name in settings, it still shows my old Apple ID?

    Refund for MacBook Air taking forever (mailed it back using FedEx)

    I bought a refurbished MacBook Air from Apple.com, but it was wobbly so I mailed it back using the FedEx label Apple provided. FedEx tracking shows they delivered it to Apple Monday morning. Now it's Saturday evening, and Apple.com order history still just shows "Received by Carrier." Apple's return policy says "Once we receive your item, a refund is initiated immediately" so I was expecting a refund to my Apple Account Balance (which is what I used to pay for MBA) on Monday.

    Is it normal to take this long? If so, they should reword their return policy.

    MacOS Monterey Mount One Folder/Directory To Another

    In Ubuntu/Linux I can edit an fstab file and put in an entry like this:

    mount /home/bob/googledrive /home/bob/Documents

    This means that if I go to my Documents folder, it will be showing me what's in the Google Drive folder. It's transparent to the end user, and any directory can be mounted in any other directory.

    How can I accomplish this on my new MacBook Pro?

    I don't want to use Documents as my Google Drive folder because then it will show me "My Drive" and "Shared with Me" folders and makes another step when saving something.

    Excel on iPad does not close normally; only sits on the spinning wheel

    This is, of course, mega annoying. I'm a teacher and use the iPad to take attendance, and of course, I'm using Excel. At least 70% of the time, when I go to close the file, it will start the spinning icon to save, and then never moves from that screen. I tried waiting 5 minutes once and it just kept spinning.

    I thought maybe it was another program., so I tried by process of elimination to run my usual apps and try to save. It randomly did the spinning wheel thing as I tested it.

    No other Office program does this (as yet). What's causing the problem? How do I fix it?

    iPhone 12 HDR playback color degradation

    So I just noticed that whenever I'm playing a HDR/ Dolby Vision video the degradation of colors is bad (?) , I'm not sure how to explain it but it's something like this picture where you can spot each separate color easily which looks very odd, and is contrary to a soft degradation where the shift in color is smooth. I noticed if I turn off HDR the very same frame now looks normal (smooth degradation) or it also happens if the brightness is at its maximum with HDR enabled

    Is this a side or known effect of HDR I'm unaware of or is this something that might indicate a display issue??

    Please share if you experience the same when watching HDR videos regardless if it's on an iPhone 12 or any other model or any other OLED device for that matter, I'd like to validate if this indeed might be an issue before going through the pain of having to contact Apple support,

    Outage or SIM Card issue?

    I'm using AT&T and I was checking my phone and I noticed that it said no service even tho I literally didn't do anything. I also know for a fact that my phone was working before because I had made a call that went through and everything was normal but now I can only use wifi. Is this a local outage or is there something wrong with my SIM card?

    iPhone 13 camera takes longer than my iPhone X to start...

    I bought an iPhone 13 recently after picking up and loving my X a few years ago. I noticed the camera started slowly, and brushed it off as "new phone" syndrome ("it's probably doing a lot in the background, trying to transfer everything it needs to"), but it's persisted. I screen recorded the two phones opening up Instagram's camera (where I originally noticed the delay), and put them together in Final Cut. Turns out I wasn't actually going crazy! There is a noticeable delay between the phones!

    AppleCare+ Transfer

    Hoping this question doesn't break any rules, AppleCare is an Apple service, so I think it's allowed. I received a new iPhone 13 Pro Max with prepaid AppleCare+ as a gift. I am no longer on good terms with the person who purchased it. The AppleCare is in his name. He refuses to transfer it to my name, or request a refund, so I can purchase my own AppleCare.

    If he cancels it, I cannot repurchase it, per Apple's policy — once it has been cancelled, the device is no longer eligible for AppleCare. I am not gentle in my phones, so it's something I really need. Is there anything I can do to get AppleCare in my name? I have no problem paying for it; Apple is just telling me the phone is already covered, and I cannot get this person to cooperate authorize the cancellation. Thanks!

    "Invalid SIM" I'm not really sure what to do, I've taken the card out and put it back in along with restarting my phone several times and checking for updates. I'm on iOS 15.1 (iPhone Xr) and it's said this for nearly a day now, I can't access internet when I'm off Wi-Fi.

    So, I'm setting up a new phone and need to verify phone number. Old phone is broken, can't get that code. Okay, use phone number instead. Need to sign into AppleID but can't do that without verification code, which I can't get, because I can't verify my phone number to receive messages. So, in turn, I can't receive any codes. None whatsoever. What do I even do here?

    I haven’t used this site/app called “team-bhp.com” and yet it is showing in screen time usage . What this possibly could be ….i even don’t know anything abt this site…and my phone was turned off ..how can this thing show up in screen time ..Is my phone infected by malware..??

    I have two iPhones (XS and 12) under the same apple ID, where in both the iCloud photos are turned on. I deleted pictures from one iphone (XS) to save some space a month or so ago. My iCloud storage was full and it couldn't backup my main phone (12) but the phone itself had more than 80 GB of free space. I was checking my camera roll today and was shocked that all of the pictures deleted from (XS) are also deleted from (12) suddenly and I'm pretty much sure that this happened today. I tried checking iCloud photos through iCloud.com and couldn't find them either; and when I checked the iCloud storage, it apparently has some space now and that the last successful backup took place yesterday. I tried restarting my phone (12) but the pictures were still not there, so I'm technically panicking right now. Is there anything I can do to retrieve those photos?

    Slapped an AirTag on my dogs collar as a test. My girlfriend took the dog in the car and drove away, with two iPhones on iOS 15 but the AirTag still fjord the last location miles away. Any idea?

    Hi guys! So as the title said I have an iPhone SE 2 generation, I cracked the screen and the back long time ago and then changed it with an iPhone 8 cheap screen. Honestly is complete garbage so I want to ask for a repair (I know it's out of warranty I will pay for it of course), my question is, will an official Apple repair center accept my phone repair even with a third party screen? I would like to not change the back glass since I slap a cover and never cared about it, could it give me problems? Sorry if the question was already asked but I find a lot of answer on the internet conflicting with each other. Thank you for your help!

    AirPods Max has a sudden loud booming sound when I fast forward in YouTube videos or switch to different songs

    This happens if noise canceling is on or off and its LOUD. There's another similar issue when noise cancelling is on and somebody in the house shuts a door or something the noise canceling creates a thud that is quite loud. Anyone else had these uncomfortable experiences with AirPods max?

    I've accidentaly deleted (permanently) a 500 page file of creative works I've done last year

    So, I have confused it with another file and accidentally deleted it from the recently deleted folder as well. It is imperative that I get it back. When I searched the internet for help, most of them involved having a mac (which I do not have) or by using secondary apps or software. I would try those apps but I do not know whether they are trustworthy or not. HELP!!!

    iMessage Blocking - Confused. Do you receive the messages after you unblock?

    Hi, So I have blocked someone on iMessage through the "block this caller" feature on my iPhone. I then started receiving his iMessages on my MacBook, which was annoying so I blocked him there as well.

    I decided to experiment with my sister, so I blocked her in the same way and asked her to send me a bunch of iMessages. I then unblocked her 10 minutes later and her iMessages turned green and I received them on my phone. So, when unblocking I received the messages that she sent me while she was blocked. How does this work? Is it a question of time or what?

    iPhone 13 Pro Max Zoom Camera - Black Dot

    Hello!

    Can anyone with an iPhone 13 Pro Max let me know if this is common or if it's just me? I recently got the 13 Pro Max and I realized that when I use 3x zoom (which I love) in daylight/outside or pointing towards light, there is a black dot that shows up at the top of my screen/photo. It seems like it could be a shadow from the black circle under the ultrawide lens but covering that up doesn't fix it. I can't pinpoint what the dot is coming from but the phone is new, never been dropped or anything and the cameras appear to be fine. It's frustrating because it ruined tons of my photos from vacation. I plan to take it into Apple but I have to back everything up first since I know they will want me to reset it.
