It will have at least HDR but I'm wondering if Dolby Vision is worth it? Also - any suggestions on a sub $1k 65" TV would be most welcome :) [link] [comments]  | ||
| Audio out of sync on new Apple TV 4K Posted: 15 Aug 2021 09:04 PM PDT I just got an Apple TV 4K, I have a Sony X950H 65" with a Sony HT-CT150 soundbar With my NVIDIA Shield I had no problems, everything was in sync. On my PS3, PS4, PC, everything, no problems But, on the Apple TV I'm having constant problems. In the Apple TV+ App watching "For all mandkind" the Audio was so far out its a word or two behind Watching PLEX some shows are out, but some seem okay I Googled it, and it seems like its a common problem, but that was a few years ago. When I play a movie with Plex on the Apple TV and there is AC3 sound, Dolby 5.1, no sound coming from the speakers. Movies with a stereo stream or Atmos work very well. When I run the same movie from the plex app on my tv I can hear the AC3 stream perfect through Sonos. Whu is Apple TV not pi king up AC3? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Apple needs to fix Siri on Apple TV Posted: 15 Aug 2021 03:14 PM PDT To give some background: I live in a non-english speaking country. Siri on Apple TV is language restricted to the region you're in. This is not the case on their phones, watch or MacBooks. It's endlessly annoying.. I probably consume 99% English contents on my TV. Searching in my native language for general UI navigation is fine, it even picks up some English words when searching for a series sometime. But given this restriction, I can never ever use voice to search for YouTube videos or any move or series with more than 1 or 2 words in their name. What are your thoughts on this? | Apple TV HD doesn’t have Apple TV App Posted: 15 Aug 2021 01:58 PM PDT I set up my Apple TV recently to watch CODA (2021), but we couldn't find the Apple TV+ app. I just learned you needed the Apple TV plus app, but that's not there either. It's not on the App Store, even though I checked 50 times. For some reason, it came with my iPhone (which is what we used to connect the TV to) but not the TV itself? Can someone please help? | Posted: 15 Aug 2021 07:43 AM PDT With new Apple TV 4K, the connection to gamepad is lost within a minute of pairing. Many people over the last two years have said they use this controller with Arcade on Apple TV. Are there any tricks to securing a connection? I have updated firmware. Unpaired and Paired again. Controller Lost over and over. It's my new favorite controller for Switch, but I got it specifically to use with Arcade. Any help is appreciated. Edit: it did the same thing with a legit PS4 controller. Update: purchased PS5 controller this afternoon. Works straight out of the box with no firmware update. [link] [comments]  |
