I finally got Color Balance to work!! Posted: 18 Aug 2021 12:44 AM PDT I think I've tried 100+ times over a month period and so many different settings on my TV, but the process always failed when it hit the white part of the test, it was driving me nuts, but I finally got it to work, so I'm posting this incase it helps someone else. I played with a bunch of settings on my Samsung TV but the one that did the trick for me was under Settings > Picture > Picture Options > Colour Tone. I changed the setting from Standard to Warm 2 and it worked straight away. Just to make sure, I completely reset the picture settings on the TV back to default settings and tested which failed. I then changed this setting testing Warm 1 and Warm 2 and they both worked flawlessly If you don't have a Samsung TV then I suggest playing with a similar setting on your TV I'm speechless, this has been driving me crazy and I've wasted too much time, but it feels good to finally see it working 😅 [link] [comments]

Trouble with airplay on Gen 3 Apple TV Posted: 18 Aug 2021 07:19 AM PDT So I got an iPad Mini a few days ago and I tried using my Apple TV with Disney Plus on AirPlay and it worked then a few days later when I tried AirPlaying it again then it showed an error occurred loading this content. I tried it with Netflix as well and It didn't work either. Meanwhile YouTube still works fine with the iPad. And I tried my iPhone with it and it still works with Disney Plus anyone know a fix. AirPod comparisons for watching movies on Apple TV Posted: 18 Aug 2021 06:03 AM PDT I have an Apple TV 4K and have to use my head phones to watch movies a lot cause the surround sound is too loud for my family. For anyone who has this experience, is their a big difference watching movies between the AirPod pros and AirPod Max's? [link] [comments]
Why can I watch appleTV+ without subscription Posted: 18 Aug 2021 05:10 AM PDT Hi all, I ve never signed up for Apple TV+, never opted for the free 1 year or 3 months offers I got when I purchased iPhone 11/Apple TV/iPad Pro. But i can definitely watch all the content every time I opened the app, and don't remember ever being asked to pay… I remember this has been the case since 2019 when I got iPhone 11 Is this the same for everyone? Changing Audio Format to Dolby Digital 5.1 Posted: 18 Aug 2021 12:42 AM PDT Since I only have soundbar for audio, (connected through an optical cord via my tv) does leaving the option Of Audio Format to always 'Dolby Digital 5.1' always outputs audio to that? My concern is what if I have a playback source thats only stereo. My soundbar can play lpcm 2.0 (lossless audio) fine via optical. Will the audio be degraded to Dolby digital because I left it that option in the audio settings of my apple tv? [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Aug 2021 06:12 PM PDT Hello all, Anyone using Peacock on an ATV (4K, 2021)? I find the app is horrible, takes forever for streams to actually start, the remote constantly stops working while using the app, and the UI is clunky and can be slow sometimes. Only streaming app I have issues with, and I have plenty. Anyone else having these issues/this experience? [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Aug 2021 09:19 PM PDT Does the Apple TV (tvOS) have a now playing audio function like on iOS? I can't seem to find this on my Fire Stick 4K and was curious if the Apple TV does. [link] [comments]
Can I Bluetooth and use screen mirror at the same time Posted: 17 Aug 2021 08:40 PM PDT I want to Screenmirror my phone to an Apple TV while simultaneously having my phone Bluetooth connected to my Xbox controller is this possible? [link] [comments]
Apple 4KTV won’t display Dolby Atmos (sonos arc) Posted: 17 Aug 2021 08:26 PM PDT Hello! When I use my apple 4ktv with my sonos arc the app shows the content(disney plus, hbo max etc) isn't using "dolby atmos" but instead dolby digital 5.1 but when I use my fire stick 4KTV the sonos shows that dolby atmos is being played for some movies that support it. Most of the time it will show DD+ . What is going on here? Is the sonos app lying to me or is there an issue with apple tv? Please help Forgot to mention I own a Samsung 4kTV from 2017 with an ARC port no EARC. [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Aug 2021 06:13 PM PDT Hoping someone can help me here. I have some Apple TV channels (Showtime/Paramount+ bundle) and am billed through Apple. I searched for a show and it directed me to the Paramount+ app, which then asked for a login. How do I go about logging into the Paramount+ app if I'm subscribed to Paramount+ through Apple TV Channels? I went to Paramount+ channel in the Apple TV app, but the show isn't there, so I'm guessing it's only on the Paramount+ app. Any ideas? I was hoping it would ask and autofill something, but it didn't. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Aug 2021 07:03 PM PDT Recently when I stream shows on my Apple TV 4K I get crazy flickering in dark scenes or shadows. Yet if stream the same show on my ps5 it looks great and doesn't flicker at all. Is there something wrong with my unit or something in the video settings? [link] [comments]

Does the AppleTV app on AndroidTV stream in 4K? Posted: 17 Aug 2021 07:01 PM PDT If I want to stream my purchase movies from iTunes, can I do it from the app on AndroidTV or do I need to purchase the AppleTV 4K device ? Thanks ! [link] [comments]
ATV3 refusing to play purchased content Posted: 17 Aug 2021 05:48 PM PDT My ATV4K is on the fritz, so I plugged in my old ATV3. Problem is, it's not letting me watch anything I've purchased. Whether I go through the TV app, or the TV Shows app, whenever I try to watch an episode of something it goes to a black screen for a while and then drops me back to where I was. Even if it's content I've previously watched on this ATV3, it won't load. Does anyone have any ideas of why this might be? EDIT: I reset to factory settings, and it now lets me watch purchased content through the individual Movies and TV Shows apps, but it still doesn't work through the Up Next section of the TV app. To be honest, it hasn't worked properly since they added the TV app to the ATV3 in 2019; when it was first introduced (and for several software updates afterwards) my ATV3 straight up wouldn't even show my purchased content in the TV app. The fact it even lets me browse my purchased content in the TV app is pretty surprising. Did Apple just never fix it? [link] [comments]
Best option for wireless surround sound for Apple TV? Posted: 17 Aug 2021 08:42 AM PDT I'm looking for a wireless surround sound option for my bedroom so that I can have one on my bedside table and my girlfriend can have hers, and we can turn each on/off independently. What are some of the best options? Would Sonos speakers work? Two Homepods/Homepod Minis? Any other recommendations? I believe my Apple TV is the 4k model, though I also have a normal Apple TV downstairs where I'd also like to implement wireless surround sound if possible Thanks for any help Clarification: by "surround sound" I suppose I just mean wireless (bluetooth? Just no cables from TV -> Speakers). My main interest isn't sound quality, just convenience and being able to isolate audio from one of our bedsides [link] [comments]
How to Switch to Apple TV Input When Airplay? Posted: 17 Aug 2021 02:26 PM PDT Previously I had it set up so that my Nintendo Switch and Apple TV were connected to the receiver and then the receiver was connected to the Vizio P65-C1 TV. In that setup, if the TV screen was off (but TV still on) and if the Switch was off and I airplayed to the Apple TV, I think the receiver would handle the input switch and play music, while keeping the screen off. Now, I moved the Apple TV and Switch to the TV, and the receiver is still connected via ARC. However, if I'm on a different input, and I airplay to the Apple TV (which is on), the TV doesn't switch inputs. Is there something I'm missing here, or is this not supported by the TV? I want to leave the TV screen always off, the apple TV always on, but still the input should swap when I airplay to the apple TV. [link] [comments]
Video settings for new Apple TV and high end QLED Samsung QN90A Posted: 17 Aug 2021 01:45 PM PDT Should we still set to 4K SDR with match dynamic range and frame rate turned on? What's the difference if you set it to 4K HDR with the matching turned on? [link] [comments]
Screen Flickering on Apple TV 4k Posted: 17 Aug 2021 12:16 PM PDT So I just recently set up a theater room in my house and bought the new Apple TV 4K to use for streaming. I did some research beforehand and saw that people were having some issues where the screen would turn black for several seconds every so often when using lower level hdmi cables. To avoid this I purchased the recommended belkin 2.1 cable and plugged the box into my receiver. My receiver uses hdmi 2.0 and the hdmi cord running from my receiver to the projector is a fiber optic 2.0 cable rated at 4K/60 and 18.2 gbs bandwidth that supports ARC, HDR10, Dolby Vision, HDCP2.2, 4:4:4. When it first started the flickering on and off was somewhat infrequent (every few minutes) but after 10 or so minutes it started to happen every 5 or 10 seconds. I did the tests in the settings menu for the different capabilities and they all passed. I also turned off the constant frame rate matching and only had the hdr matching feature enabled. Any help is appreciated, the device is pretty expensive and I'd prefer to get it working rather than having to return it. [link] [comments] |
