    Hello, so I have to leave my laptop in my car fairly often and it can get pretty hot even in the trunk.

    I am looking for recommendations on a sleeve case that can help keep it cool when I have to leave it in my car.

    Any recommendations are greatly appreciated thank you!

    It's a 13 inch MacBook Air.

    My MacBook Pro m1 started showing this vertical band on its screen , do you think warranty will cover it , it even has 1-2 small scratches on its display , I’ve been using it for 3 months now

    I've been typing for extended amounts of time on my MBA and I've noticed that very frequently somehow I'm typing and the cursor gets clicked and I end up typing in the middle of the paragraph somewhere else on the document. Its gotten pretty disruptive, and its an issue I haven't had with other laptops (all windows before) and so I'm wondering if its a common issue that someone else accidentally clicks their trackpad while typing

    Took my 2020 Macbook Air 13'' to an Apple store for screen flickering and ghosting. The store sent it abroad to a depot and replaced the screen within warranty as the problem already existed since September when it was new.

    Got my Mac posted in a box earlier today, neatly packaged but I noticed the bottom left corner of the laptop does not sit on a flat surface as the rest did. Swear the frame is not damaged when I sent it in for repair and now when I type the laptop wobbles and that really bugs me. I contacted Apple via chat earlier and told me some customer relations guy will call me but I never get the call. I have AppleCare+ for the device but I am reluctant to pay for the replacement as I am not the one who bends the frame. I am going to give them another call/chat tomorrow. Any idea what is going to happen next?

    PS. Mine is running an Intel i5 256GB but opted for 16GB RAM so I don't think they are going to replace it with a M1 chip Macbook if they are choosing to replace it?

    MacBook pro 2019: USB C port regulary stops working, starts working again after SMC reset, stops working after a few minutes

    Hey all :)

    My laptop is a 2019 MacBook pro with OS 11.5.2 installed. This model has 2 USB C ports on the left side of the case. Now, with some irregularity in timing, the UBS C port closest to the screen stops working. A SMC reset normally restores the funcionality. However, it always fails again after some time.

    I wasn't able to identify any pattern in the fail-times. What I did to try and repair it: PRAM reset and full factory reset with wiping of the harddrive etc etc. It still persists.

    This smells like some obsucre software problem to me and is really annoying.

    Did anybody of you experience the same thing or has an idea how to repair this?

    MacBook Pro 2017 15" speakers

    Hey all,
    just wondering about the speakers in the MacBook pro
    I got this MacBook pro second hand off Facebook about a year or more ago, it's in perfect condition and has no marks, never been dropped or anything. although since the day I got it it's always had this issue and I have been happy to ignore it since then but I figure I might as well ask,
    does anyone else have issues with their speakers? they sound great but anytime there's a song that has bass in it they sound like they are about to blow, almost a click noise for every bassy note.
    are my speakers buggered or is it normal for this model. I would upload a video but Imgur is being difficult and the video didn't have any audio

    Return for Extra Ram?

    I just bought a new m1 macbook air with both 8 cores 512 ssd, and 8 gigs of ram as a education bundle. I am slowly realizing im gonna need that 16 gigs of ram...

    Would it be possible to try and return my macbook and pay for only upgraded ram? am I stuck with the 8 gigs?

    hey y'all. new to the laptop world and windows isn't cutting it for me. i've decided to go with one of the M1 macbooks and i'm torn between the pro and the air. i like both from the looks of it, but i'm drawn to the touchbar for some reason. now i should say i'm a psychology major looking for a laptop for primarily productivity reasons. which is the better option?

    M1 MBA External Monitor

    Just figured out you can do a quick zoom in by double tapping the touchpad with two fingers. Works like double tapping your iPhone screen with one finger.

    Like title says, I just got a macbook air m1 with applecare+ on it. But I wanna know if I'm able to use it. I was looking thru my devices and the Mac doesn't show up with applecare+ it only says that the information couldn't be found.

    Macbook Pro slow internet with external screen

    Hi,

    I need support to figure this out. I have a MacBook pro from 2017 which has never caused me any issues in terms of connectivity. Now I work a bit more on a larger screen, so I hooked up a monitor to the MacBook Pro.

    I connect it with a USB-C hub, a very good one, which connect to the monitor perfectly. However, everytime I connect it to monitor the internet speed on my MacBook gets super sluggish, like having a hard time to open Google.com. When I disconnect, it's back to normal.

    When connect to the monitor I shur the lid of the MacBook.

    What am I missing here, this is really annoying.

    Homescreen not responsive: can't left/right click on desktop

    Since yesterday I've noticed that the desktop on my MacBookPro 2017 (macOS Big Sur) is not responsive. When I for example click on the Control Center, sidebar, toolbar icons, etc. they don't exit if I click on the desktop. Neither can I right click on my desktop to access the right-click menu. I can't also drag files from Finder directly onto my desktop (if I manually place them on the desktop folder, they don't appear on my desktop either).

    Everything else seems to be working fine (dock, other windows, settings, etc.) I've already restarted or turned off and turned on again my MacBook a few times, but it doesn't solve the issue. I literally haven't done anything new other than installing a toolbar icon managing app called Vanilla (which I've already uninstalled).

    I'll greatly appreciate the help and solution(s) here, since this is really annoying and have no idea why it happened.

    USB-C Hub Brick Question

    I know PD charging through a hub is a no-go, but if I were to charge my m1 mba directly with the charging cable, and just use my USB-C hub by plugging in devices I need (music production stuff like midi keyboard and audio interface), no PD charging, will my computer still die because it's considering the computer charging while having a hub plugged in to be PD charging?

    Unable to reinstall Mac Os

    I have been gifted a Mac and have erased the disk, now trying to reinstall Macos and need to enter my appleid. I enter the correct one and an error comes up.

    I researched and apparently I need to click 'get help online' and sign into your Apple id on the PC in safari.

    Icloud just does not load, this is not a problem with my WiFi. I am confused how to resolve this. Any help would be fantastic

    Trying to connect 2 (non-mirrored) external monitors - 2020 13in Macbook with 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports

    Hey all,

    I searched around the subreddit and have seen this question asked before as it pertains to the 2020 M1 model, but I haven't seen any solution for the 2020 2 thunderbolt 3 model.

    I want to connect two external monitors (plus laptop screen) to my set up. As of now, I have three screens running, but I cannot find any way to make the two monitors not mirror each other. I have read there are potential software limitations, or that you need an adapter with a power source, but no one seems to have a definitive answer.

    How can I fix this so that I have two unique external monitors plus my laptop screen? As of now I have one adapter hub using up one thunderbolt port, and two monitors connected via HDMI into the adapter. Both monitors have power but only want to mirror each other and "detect displays" does not show 3 screens (laptop included).

    Thank you for any direction you can point me in, I appreciate it!
