iPhone SE 1st gen home button problems Posted: 18 Aug 2021 07:21 PM PDT I just replaced my screen on my 1st gen se along with a new battery and I'm having some problems, first one, after a week of use the screen started having a ghost touch, is there a way to fix it or should I just get a new screen? I should note that when it's fully charged it doesn't do it as much but if I replace the lightning port the fingerprint won't work. The other problem is 2 weeks after I replaced it the home button is acting up, today it worked fine and now all of a sudden it will only read my finger print and won't go home when I press it, I tried replacing it but it won't read a finger print if I do that, is there a way to fix the original one? Thanks for any help! [link] [comments]

Just got an iPhone 12, anyone else think the video playback quality is subpar? Posted: 18 Aug 2021 06:40 PM PDT I went from an 8 to a 12 and any video I watch on Safari or Youtube seems somewhat blurry. Embedded videos, Youtube, everything seems sort of washed. Yes I've already manually changed the resolution on Youtube etc but somehow I feel like the 8 had better quality. Could this be a result of the bigger screen or am I just crazy? Posted: 18 Aug 2021 06:32 PM PDT Wife and I just upgraded to the iPhone 12 from 7 & 8. When setting mine up, battery was almost full out of the box. Hers was dead and I had to charge it in order to set it up. Also, where as mine didn't, I had to update hers to the latest iOS before being able to transfer her data from the 7. The update doesn't bother me too much, but shouldn't hers have come charged up as well? Am I worrying for nothing? I mean, it's brand new so it's got warranty but just thought that was odd. Is this common? Never had it happen to me before on other new iPhones. [link] [comments]

Is it normal to lose 10% battery overnight? Posted: 18 Aug 2021 07:45 AM PDT I've noticed my iPhone SE 2nd gen has been losing 9-10% battery overnight. I think it started about 3 weeks ago after I upgraded my iCloud storage? Wi-fi, bluetooth, and data are all switched off while I sleep. I don't leave any apps open and I'm on DND mode almost all day. Background refresh is only switched on for around 5 apps. I do have iCloud upload and auto-brightness on. Software is up to date. Maximum batt capacity is at 95%. I've had the phone since November 2020. Case in point: I went to bed at 99% and woke up 8 hours later at 90%. This wasn't the case before, usually I just lose 1-3% overnight. Already reached out to Apple Chat support and they said my battery performance doesn't pose any concern as of now. Any thoughts/troubleshooting tips? [link] [comments]

Bluetooth Cutting Out/Skipping on iPhone X Posted: 18 Aug 2021 03:36 PM PDT So I've had my iPhone X since March 2020 (my first iPhone actually), and up until last week I have had no issues with it at all. I first started noticing that anytime I walked more than a couple feet away from my phone while wearing Bluetooth headphones the audio would start to cut in and out repeatedly until I got closer to my phone. I then tried using a Bluetooth speaker and experienced the same exact issue. I've also been having the same issue in my car as well and my phone would even begin to disconnect/reconnect itself to my car until it got close enough to where it would play normally. I've restarted it, reset my connections, and done everything else I could think of to potentially solve this issue with no results… I'm not sure what I should do about this and I'm really worried that I may need to get a new phone despite only having this phone for a year and a half. Are there any suggestions as to what the problem may be and what I could do about it to avoid having to replace my phone? [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Aug 2021 03:23 PM PDT I'm not sure if this is going to make a lot of sense, but I was hoping someone might have some tips. So I use Apple Maps for navigation and when I'm driving I also like to listen to music (shocker.) I have to use AUX as my car doesn't have bluetooth. I also use Spotify, not sure if that's a root cause in the issue I'm having. So my issue is, I'd like it to be easier to switch songs. When my phone is mounted, I like to have the phone locked, especially at night. I don't like having the bright screen light on all the time, and really I only need to hear the directions, I don't necessarily need to see them. When I used to use Google Maps, I could just have the app running in the background and if I tapped on my phone screen I was presented with the lock screen and therefore the music player where I could easily just switch songs and then my screen would auto shutoff. With Apple Maps, as soon as I tap the screen the map screen appears on my screen and and if I want to switch songs, I have to either swipe down to get the music player, or switch to the Spotify app. I know you're not supposed to touch your phone when driving, but sometimes I just want to change a song really quick and Apple Maps makes this difficult. Any tips? Is there Spotify integration for maps that I just haven't found yet? Or even Apple Music integration? I'm not married to Spotify, I'd be willing to change if there was integration. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Aug 2021 02:59 PM PDT Hey r/iphonehelp - I have a 4 minute video saved to my photos and I want to clip a 30 second section out for my social media. Everytime I try to clip the video and save as a new clip, the audio is being removed from the clip. The video has audio, and the little speaker icon is yellow (clicked) when I am clipping the video. This is happening on my iPhone, my partner's, and my iPad. It's driving me wild. Please help [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Aug 2021 01:50 PM PDT Hiya, basically I got a screen replacement for my iphone 7, and most of the time it works fine but sometimes it just acts like it is having a seizure mostly on the left side of the screen. I was wondering if there was sometime to do or if I should straight out get a replacement screen for my replacement screen..... another 40 £. Also friends have said that 40 £ is wayy to cheap, but I think it is about right. Kind Regards, Jango. [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 Aug 2021 11:21 AM PDT My iPhone SE screen is glitching. It keeps clicking around on random stuff and sometimes tapping the screen does nothing. I tried resetting to factory settings and it didn't help. I don't really want to get a new one because I just paid this one off. How can I fix this? Is my phone just getting old? I bought it within the last 2 years! [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Aug 2021 10:49 AM PDT I bought an used iphone 8 on June 2020. The battery health when i got it was at 86%. I noticed it decreased to 84% after 2 months. It stayed like that until last week, where it decreased to 83%. Then this week, it went from 83% to 82%, and today I saw it is now at 81%. What should i do for it to stop decreasing? Should i replace it now? [link] [comments]

iPhone 7 static noise and bending or no sound Posted: 18 Aug 2021 07:19 AM PDT software version 14.7.1. My screen broke and a few weeks later the phone started to bend the sound during calls- like pitch bending downwards, slowing down speech. Then call ends. Sometimes I can ring someone and it will work for a few minutes, then the phone call will end, the audio bends. Other times, I can only hear loud static sound when I try to ring someone. When I try to call through WhatsApp the phone icon goes red automatically and it won't start. My audio messages don't record any sound, but I can listen to other people's messages, music on Spotify, or YouTube. Any idea what's going wrong? All the best! [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 Aug 2021 05:15 AM PDT I've been running on iOS 14.7.1 since it was released and it works just fine until now. Then suddenly I am unable to sign in to whatever accounts I have (I've tried on several sites) via web browser (Safari and even DuckDuckGo). They keep redirecting me to here Cookies required to use Safari and force me to allow cookies to be stored on my device if I want to be able to sign in via web browser. Then when I click that link, it says "Recent versions of Safari have new cookie requirements to improve security. To continue, you must allow cookies." And they attach another link: Safari cookie blocking for me to just read, with no option to opt out. The odd thing is, why now all of sudden? It's not like I just updated my iOS to 14.7.1, and I was even able to sign in anywhere just fine earlier today. This happened out of nowhere after I charged my phone, and I didn't change anything on Settings. The only different thing than usual might be I left my DNS protection on while my phone was being charged. I tried to turn it off and restart the Safari and DuckDuckGo though, but still doesn't work. What should I do? Is it safe to just allow it? But then again, it gives me no choice to refuse in the first place. But maybe there's another alternative solution that I can try first before I click the continue button? I'm a bit concerned because this happened suddenly in the middle of the day when it worked completely normal before. Edit: turned out I can't open Appstore too, it keeps loading. I've tried restarting my phone but found no different result. [link] [comments] |
