    Posting this because I'm supremely embarrassed by what just happened.

    Essentially, I was running 14.3 Taurine 1.02 and had woken up to see the 1.03 update was released. I was amped, as I've been on a jailbreak binge trying to perfect my new iOS 14 setup for the past couple days. I saw that CS also released a JBUpdater tool that one can use in terminal to update Taurine. Fantastic. Here's where I fucked up: 2 days ago, I changed my root password and now couldn't remember it for the life of me. Instead of running sudo jbupdate or whatever as a workaround, I was determined to fix my root password issue, and I went down a google rabbit hole that eventually led me to believe, in my barely awake state, that deleting /etc/passwd would allow me to gain root privs without having to know my password. Sweet. I deleted it, rebooted, and was greeted by an old friend: a boot loop.

    I'm now on 14.4.2, jailed, and will be waiting potentially months for another exploit to get my perfect device back. So, if there's anything to learn from this, 1. Don't modify system files if you aren't absolutely certain about the effect it will have. 2. Don't change your root password to something you won't remember in 2 days. 3. Always have several recent backups of your device, especially if you're jailbreaking your main device.

    TL;DR: Don't delete system files without 100% certainty, and always make frequent backups of your device. Also, you probably should write your root password down somewhere...

    In all seriousness though... I'd love to see an update for Zenith for iOS 14. It is killing me not having it... Being a long time Apex user, when support was dropped, I nearly wet myself with excitement when you picked it up and released it for iOS 11.

    I'd be lying if I said I wasn't completely lost without it... To the point where I actually despise using my phone at the moment because I don't know where anything is anymore.

    After years and years of having things in the same place thanks to Apex/Zenith (to the point where I only had/needed one SpringBoard page), now it takes 5 minutes of scrolling through countless pages to find an app that I'm used to just flicking on another to get to and boom... Bob's your Uncle!

    I saw that you're making moves, updating your other tweaks for iOS 14 compatibility so I can only hope you're super close with Zenith too. This is more of an appreciation post than anything... If you can't tell, this is literally my only MUST HAVE jailbreak tweak and will continue to be until/if Apple add this... Which, let's be real, they never will!

    For those that don't have it, do yourself a favor and purchase it! (Packix) - $2 - I promise you, you won't regret it... And come on... It's $2! Of course, this only applies to those on 11 - 13 for now but DO IT! :)

    [Free Release] iPatch fork to support MacOS 10.10 and higher.

    Hi, yesterday EamonTracey released a utility that would allows users to inject dynamic libraries (.deb file or a tweak) into an iPA file to install it on an unjailbroken iOS device. Here's his post. But many users could not install it on their Macs because it only supported MacOS >= 11.0 (Because of SwiftUI compatibility). So I thought about changing UI code, with support for MacOS 10.10 and higher! Here is the download link (Beta): https://github.com/ExeRhythm/iPatch/releases.

    [Discussion] Why BegoneCIA is doing this?

    I really don't want to start a war with the stans of one of the best former developers, but I think that someone might find this useful. Or enlighten me, telling me where I am wrong, so I can correct myself and apologise to the developer.

    Short history: After I jailbroke my phone, I started receiving a pop-up window, more specifically a player. It was with the name "aarki.net". I was really confused why I was receiving it. Surprisingly, I found out that other people have reported this in the subreddit. Nobody knew the origin of it. I started wondering - what was causing it? Is it dangerous? Is it a malware?

    I have two phones. One was on iOS 13. I had the tweak "BegoneCIA" installed. Along with Quorra. I received so many messages that something was accessing my camera. I thought that it was a glitch, but at the same time I had only two tweaks installed. You already know who they are.

    I deleted the tweak and as I expected - I never received that window again. Not another message that something was accessing my camera.

    My question is - why this player is popping up so much, supposedly accessing the camera? Like I said, I'm not pointing fingers. I'm just really confused with the background processes.

    So i have the unc0ver 13.3 jailbreak and i heard a new one released for 14.3 so i am looking to upgrade right now but i got a couple of questions

    What should i backup and how should i do it before upgrading to anything. because i would hate to lose jailbreak or my phone getting bricked

    Will my tweaks etc move when i get a new jailbreak ?

    1. download latest jailbreak ipa: taurine, odyssey
    2. Install [[jailbreak updater]]
    3. install [[NewTerm 2]]
    4. turn on NewTerm 2 and run "su"
    5. enter your password
    6. type " jbupdate " then press return
    7. congratulations, it's finished.
    8. you can download [[libhooker configuration ]]to check you are in 1.0.3 or 1.0.2

    Since I've jailbroken a few days ago, I cannot send pictures to anyone, on WiFi or mobile data, through iMessage or MMS. I'm on Taurine 1.0.2, iOS 14.2, iPhone XS Max on Sprint. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    [Discussion] Help! I deleted an app through app manager and it’s not useable any more!

    Ok so I was dumb and cleared all of an apps data inside apps manager in filza. The app still shows up there but it's logo is blank. When I go to the App Store it says "open" instead of download but when I click open it does nothing. Any ideas?
