    It seems my passwords saved in iCloud tab in keychain and keychain enabled in iCloud settings. Will be it synchronised if I log in on another Mac? I'm afraid of losing my passwords

    Unable to get 4k 60hz with TV

    Hi!

    I need some help trying to figure out where i go wrong.

    I've got a macbook pro 13'' (2019) with 4 usb-c running Big Sur (11.2.1) and a Philips 49PUT6401. Both should handle 4k 60hz but i've tried with two different usb-c -> hdmi adapters, one that specifically should handle 4k 60, but i can't get it to work. Settings won't give me the options with 60hz, not even if i hold down the alt key. If i run switchResX i can manually set the mode but then the text gets almost unreadable. When i run 4k 30 this is not the case.

    Where is the problem? The computer? The adapter? The TV? Help me figure out how to get this to work!

    MacBook M1 Kernel Panics even after full recovery.

    I just got a new MacBook Pro M1 for xmas and recently it started rebooting from kernel panics. First it was every so often and then nearly every day, several times a day. After failing to reinstall Big Sur, and erasing the drive, I finally was able to boot it into DFU and do a full recovery and I poop you not, a kernel panic happened during the initial account set up just after choosing a language. And then again after finally getting fully set up. I'm taking it in to the Genius Bar hoping this is some weird lemon problem. I've never had this problem with a Mac that wasn't 5-7 years old, let alone a brand new one. What gives? Is this an issue with the M1 chip? Any advice welcome.

    Virtualization on MacBook m1 chip?

    I recently bought a MacBook pro with m1 chip. I am very surprised of it's build quality and spped. All in all I think is the best laptop for that price. However, from time to time, I want to play some really small games that are available only on Windows. I tried to use apple bootcamp but it seems that is not availiable for this specific laptop (because of its M1 chip). So the only option that I see is to create a virtual machine with windows. However, I triem Virtual box and it was not supported, and after some research I saw that Parallels is supporting virtualization on M1. The downside is that it costs 70 (or somewhere in that price range) EUR and to be honest it's a little to much for this kind of purpose.

    Is there any Hyper V that supports windows and it's free/costs a little amount of money?

    Error updating 2019 Macbook Pro to newest OS

    So I tried to update my Macbook to the newest OS tonight and it encountered an error downloading the update. I really have no idea what to do. I keep logging back in and restarting and it just keeps doing the same thing. It just sits there trying to load a startup disk for a while, but never shows any. I'm currently trying to figure out how to use safe mode and I'm hoping that works but any help would be greatly appreciated as I have a Zoom meeting later today and use my Macbook for school.

    Image persistance/Ghosting on 2019 Macbook Pro

    Hello, since yesterday I've been encountering a weird issue. My screen started flickering when displaying whites, most of all. I did reset the mac etc. and noticed that there's a faint ghost image visible even during the boot-up, when the apple logo is being displayed. That leads me to believe it's a screen issue, not a software issue. The ghosting image is a safari window and the dock. It's visible all the time (thus leading to the flicker) but becomes more visible on dark backgrounds.

    I have found an apple article on IPS persistence, and there they recommend leaving the screensaver on for a long time, which I did, for about 10-13 hour with some interruptions. The ghosting image slowly goes away as the saver does its job, but then comes back after I start using the Mac, almost immediately. The article is also archived, which leads me to believe it's possibly only for older Mac models.

    I'm running the latest version of Big Sur. Would You guys have any ideas on what could've happened and how I could fix this?

    edit: another interesting observation. After writing this post I switched to another desktop view, and now the ghosting image is the image of this very subreddit, as if it somehow updated itself...

    Automate mirror display?

    Hi. I'm a noob in mac OS.

    I'm looking for a way to automate toggle mirror display when launching dota2 (before it launches) then setting macbook brightness to zero, such that I'm only looking at my external display.

    My first option was to lock my cursor to my external display but I havent found a way..

    Hey, I was wondering, I havé already launched the Data transfer and I am almost at the end, unfortunately my wifi don't work anymore. If I cancel the Data transfer to connect the Mac to another Wifi will I lost the advancement of the transfer?

    On the new macbook pros you can hit the screenshot button to get a menu that will allow you to take a screenshot or a screen recording. Is there anyway to change the resolution that this will use when recording the screen this way?

    I just think that antiviruses are kinda useless (cross-platform). Like , if you are not an idiot you won't catch a virus randomly. Especially in macOS

    Cloud Music Library playlists can only contain songs from your Cloud Music Library.

    I imported a few songs onto my MacBook that weren't available on Apple Music. The songs haven't shown up on my iPhone, and i get this message when I try to add the songs to my playlists. I have library sync on as well. Do I have to separately add them to my iPhone as well?

    Catalina feeling a bit sluggish on my older mac

    Out of pure boredom I installed Mavericks on a USB stick and I noticed it felt way faster. Instead of taking 1,5s, finder opens up instantly. Scrolling in Safari is buttery smooth, and so are the animations in general.

    I have an older macbook (circa 2013, 4GB ram), so no surprises it is a bit slowish, but is it normal for this laptop to feel "sluggish"? Anyone else have this too?
