    TestFlight: Run Better with CalcuRun

    Posted: 21 Feb 2021 11:25 AM PST

Hello Reddit! I'm a high school CS teacher and avid marathoner. I wanted to learn a new skill in the new year, so I decided to tackle iOS development.

CalcuRun is a simple, iOS-native app that takes a recent race time and gives research-based predictions for other race distances, among other things.

    Some screenshots:

Here's the full list of current features:

    • Give accurate race predictions from previous race times
    • View race history
    • View splits in metric or imperial for every distance
    • Pace calculator: input a time or pace for any distance to get the other

    Features planned:

    • Use the race prediction system to generate paces for common workout types and training plans (Jack Daniels, Pfitzinger, etc.)
    • View predictions from past races

If you've read this far, please give it a shot over at TestFlight! I plan to make the app free upon release with an option to leave a tip.
