AppleTV 4K and PS5 pulse headset? Posted: 21 Feb 2021 08:28 PM PST I have AirPods Pro I normally use on my AppleTV when the kid is asleep. The wife and I share one ear. I recently got a Ps5 with a pulse headset that can only work with a USB Bluetooth dongle (having difficulty getting this to work on my tv at all). Does anyone out there know if we can use both the AirPods and Pulse headset together to share audio? Or should I return the pulse and get something else? Thanks [link] [comments]
Can I use Apple TV as wireless secondary monitor adapter for MacBook? Posted: 22 Feb 2021 03:00 AM PST Since new MacBooks have so few ports could I just buy Apple TV, connect it to external monitor (as secondary monitor) and use AirPlay instead of connecting it through USB-C to HDMI/DisplayPort adapter? On paper it seems like it could work, but I cannot find any examples of people using this setup. Benefits of this solution I can see are:
Downsides that I'm guessing which maybe someone could confirm:
Could someone test this? Or maybe someone knows if that solution would work and how well straight away? [link] [comments]
Is there a way to setup an Apple TV with only wifi and no remote? Posted: 21 Feb 2021 03:08 PM PST I set it up with ethernet. Now I want to move it to a different spot where only wifi will reach. But Im not sure how to setup wifi on the Apple TV... When I plug in ethernet, my phone works as a remote to navigate to the wifi menu. However only ethernet connections show up. I don't see an option to connect to wifi. When I unplug the ethernet, my wifi shows up but my phone no longer shows up as a remote to control it.. Am I dumb? Is there any way around this catch-22? Recovering Apple TV1 hard drive Posted: 21 Feb 2021 10:26 AM PST I've got an old Apple tv1 that I got the HDD out of and I want the 7000 songs I left on it. I can do the technical part, but has anyone done this and if so can you recommend a hard drive enclosure on Amazon or something? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Display Accommodation settings not available on Apple TV Gen3 AM1469 Posted: 21 Feb 2021 03:10 PM PST Says on Apple TV support that I can access this through General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations. But I do not see any such option in the sub-menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments]
Smart TV, Apple Tv, Smart Things and Alexa combined and interfering with apple remote Posted: 21 Feb 2021 01:53 PM PST My Apple tv remote no longer works. Apple tv is linked to my smart tv and the smart tv is connected to the smart things app. The smart things app is connected to Alexa which has stopped functions on some of the cable box remotes and now my apple tv remote works. Although the smart tv has all of the same applications as apple tv, I prefer to use apple tv within my smart tv, preference, but the remote no longer works- any advice on how to get the apple tv remote working again? Content Rating Access Filtering from shared local libraries? Posted: 21 Feb 2021 11:36 AM PST Here's my setup. I've got an Mac mini in my bedroom that acts as a media server for the house (runs Apple TV app home sharing plus Sonos server, HandyPrint, and a few other functions) and is also connected to a TV locally for watching movies in the room. I've imported a bunch of my physical DVD content onto it and it works great and I love being being able to watch things in my living room Apple TV or on iOS devices by using Home Sharing (or whatever the modern equivalent is named). Some of this content is of a questionable nature (I'm looking at you, Sausage Party). I also have children in the house. I'd prefer that they not be able to watch some of this content. Short of removing it from the media server and figuring out how to watch a DVD or Blueray every time I want to watch something that I do not want to expose to prying eyes, is there some way I can do content filtering based upon rating? Like allow G, PG and PG-13 content for all but limit R, Not Rated, and NC-17 content and require a passcode? I'm pretty sure this can be done for content that comes from the Movies or TV apps on the Apple TV but I don't think it works for things under the Computers app. Any suggestions or links to tutorials? Normally I'm pretty good at finding stuff if it's possible but in this case I'm finding articles about how to stream porn to your Apple TV using AirPlay which isn't at all what I'm trying to do. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Cherry Movie; Can I Pay For it on Amazon Posted: 21 Feb 2021 12:08 PM PST I really want to see Cherry when it comes out either this month or the next. I've been told that Apple TV movie can be bought on Amazon; is this true? [link] [comments]
