- One of the things I missed when switched from 7 to X (and continued to 12 now) — Battery percentage without pulling down control center. I used a shortcut that overlays battery charge with the current wallpaper in every 5% automatically. ��

Phone no longer charges via cable Posted: 24 Feb 2021 05:36 AM PST I noticed the IO port was in need of a clean recently when my headphones kept disconnecting, and when inserted the headphone and charging cable could wobble side to side. Last night I went to clean out the port with a toothpick (smallest thing I could find that would work) which I think I've used on previous models. Something felt odd with how the toothpick was being resisted as I tried to scrape some lint out (I could see there was some in there). I tried the headphones again, but the sound was coming out of the phone. Damnit! Then tried the charging cable and the phone wouldn't charge. Thought the worst, and managed to order a Qi charger (had planned on getting one someday) to at least get some battery power back in when it arrived. My next nightmare was that I couldn't move photos off the phone - I take a lot! Gave the toothpick another go a little later and the cables now fit snug. Tried the cable in my MBP and the phone was connected, but not charging. Tried moving some photos off, and that worked too. Next to try the headphones again, and they work! Turned the phone off as I only had 50% left to last another 2 days before the charger arrived. Plugged the charging cable in with the off chace a pixie had fixed the issue, and the phone powered back on - which it usually does if turned off then plugged in. Guessing I'm lucky that the only 'feature' of the port that now doesn't work has a workaround. TLDR: [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 23 Feb 2021 06:45 PM PST Just had my trusty X serviced and with new battery. This is honestly the best phone I have ever owned and longest I have ever owned a mobile. Before this I upgraded every year with the latest model. I did look at upgrading, but I don't need any higher quality photos, the phone is still fast enough for me and I'm running latest operating system. Very happy customer! I'm sure the day will come when I upgrade to iPhone 20 or so but for now I'm good 👍 [link] [comments]  | ||

Seller notes that an aftermarket front screen Mobilesentrix X06 was installed along with an aftermarket rear glass. Anyone have a solution to this or know if this is a common issue ? Tried pushing down on the screen and it got detached even more! What should I do? If I ignore it will this harm my iPhone on the long term? [link] [comments]  | ||
