    Music app not showing song title? Never had this issue before. Decided to listen to some old songs and noticed this? Last I synced with itunes was a year ago. Idk what could cause this change?

    Hi People,

    I am currently looking for an App / Software to use my iPad, mostly to its most full potential, that is resolution, color, and fps. The Option to connect via Wi-Fi is not necessary but would be great.
    I used Duet with my older iPad, but the resolution and colors are just not great enough to pay so much on a regular basis for Duet Air.

    Is there another option for connecting my iPad with my Windows 10 Computer?
    I prefer payment-models where I have to pay once.
    I read into the older posts on Reddit, but the recommendations did not fit my requirements.

    Mac Screenshare Constantly Reconnecting

    Currently I have a recording studio where my DAW is on my Mac Pro outside while my Macbook Pro is inside my vocal recording booth using screensharing to control the daw.

    The screensharing is constantly slow or reconnecting and it's right next to my mac pro, not even 5 feet away. Tested both computers' internet connections and they are both running well.

    This only became a problem since I moved to a new studio, where the router is upstairs and the two computers are much closer together than in my last setup.

    What can I do to fix this annoying issue? It's very much halting my workflow.

    Sometimes the wallpaper glitches out (screenshot included). Should I be worried?

    Hi,

    Every few days or so the wallpaper on one of the desktops will glitch out, kinda go black (I don't know a good way to describe it, so here's a screenshot).

    Is this something I should be concerned about, like the OS is degrading or a problem on the SSD, or is this just normal Mac stuff?

    Unable to Clear “other” storage

    I have a MacBook Pro, and my SO has a MacBook Air. We have both been struggling in vain with our laptops becoming increasingly unusable due to the inaccessible and un-deletable "Other" storage. He has 99G in other, and mine hovers around 60-75 without me touching anything. We've both deleted most everything off our computers, but Other, the ever hungry beast, only grows.

    Restarting doesn't help, emptying trash doesn't help, taking it to my school IT didn't help, google has been wholly unhelpful, and none of the tip pages I've found with storage clearing help has been useful.

    Before we bash our computers against our skull in frustration, is there absolutely anything out there that has helped anyone? I haven't been able to use photoshop in months (and generally the rest of my computer) and iMovie keeps crashing.

    Please help us slay the Beast of Other and save our sanity and wallets.

    Picked up a A1419 27" iMac, Keep the 675MX or upgrade to a 680MX?

    Like the title says, I picked up an A1419 27" iMac, I got it broken, it needs a hard drive and after much digging around and some help on here I found a solution to my SSD upgrade question.

    But now that I just ordered the last few parts for it to get it working for my new graphic designer who's going to be helping me with my Youtube channel. I just need some opinions here.

    It has the i5-3470 with GTX 675MX, but since I'm going to be opening it up, taking the entire motherboard out to clean everything, change thermal compound. I'm going to swap out the i5 for an i7 3770. I already have a 32GB(4x8gb pc3-12800) RAM kit for it, 8TB HDD, waiting for the 1TB SATA M.2 with adapter to fit the special Apple SSD port to come in still. I just need to order the adhesive kit to install the screen back on it once I have all the upgrades done.

    But it's got me thinking now, is the 680MX worth the upgrade? Now is the time I should be doing it. It's going to be running macOS 10.14 and will never be updated because she needs 32bit support for something, but it's primarily going to be used for graphic design, she might help with some light editing on Davinci Resolve if I get over loaded, and she's going to be managing all the channels, social media, and accounting from it. So I figured the 675MX should be fine, but, with the slight editing added on and how little I know about graphic design (3D modeling with Fusion is going to be part of this), I figured the 680MX might be a good option.

    Now, the only thing stopping me is the fact that I could only find two logic boards on eBay that ship to Canada, one is $350 CAD, the other is $400 CAD, so it's a HUGE expense to go from the 675MX to the 680MX, so, it is REALLY worth that much for the work load she's going to be doing?

    I know that down the road if she works out here, she's going to be getting her own workstation, but right now only one channel is monetized so the other two make zero income, and I think I have about $300-400 total invested into this iMac. So it's literally going to double my budget to replace the logic board if that 680MX is going to be worth while and I don't wanna get the entire thing together only to find out later that the 680MX is a huge upgrade or something and have to redo everything I did.

    So this has to last until at least another one of the channels get's monetized to justify the cost of getting her a new computer.

    So like, TL;DR, GTX 680MX, is it work the ~$400 CAD upgrade over the GTX 675MX?

    App for multiple iPhone video to monitor on iPad

    Hey I do a lot of video shooting with multiple iPhones at the same time (typically a 3 iPhone set up) and was wondering if there's an app for the iPad that will allow me to see what the iphones cameras are shooting so I can be watching all 3 live video shoots at once on an iPad?

    Photos keyboard shortcuts conflict with my existing keyword shortcuts

    Finally upgraded to Big Sur and Photos 6.0. I've been curating my photos for a long time and am very used to my keyword shortcuts.

    My husband's name starts with A so his shortcut is "a." Hitting "a" when a photo is being displayed in an album now brings up the Adjust context. Also, "c" is for cats. Now it brings up the Crop context.

    I really don't want to reassign my shortcuts. Is there a way to turn off the editing shortcuts?

    My iPhone 7 is getting the perpetual No Service error. Is it still eligible to be repaired?

    So my phone's having the issue that some iphone 7s have where after it updates, it has no service regardless of how good the service actually is. I checked and it fits all the criteria needed to have it fixed. However, Apple will only cover phones with this issue that were purchased within the last 4 years. I don't know when it was originally purchased because I bought it from someone else. I'm wondering if anyone knows if they'll still repair it, assuming it was bought within this timeframe?

    How do I keep video files downloaded on my computer?

    I'm currently editing a video with resolve. Every hour or so, I get an error message because the file that I'm using keeps uploading back to the cloud instead of allowing all of the file to stay downloaded. Is there a way to keep the entire file downloaded?

    MBP wifi dropping more often

    *Bought 13" MBP July of 2020

    *Delivered Aug of 2020.

    *Currently running Catalina 1o.15.7.

    *Whenever I wake it from sleep, wifi icon always at 100%. Always.

    *Wifi dropped once in October 2020, didn't think much of it. Rebooted router, signal came back strong.

    *No further issues 'til Jan of 2021; repeat of previous behavior.

    *Rebooting the router seemed to have solved it at that point.

    *Issue returned Feb of 2021. Sometimes it drops for an instant and returns, other times you have to go into wifi menu to locate router.

    *I've run wireless diagnostic; no issues located.

    *I've deleted router entry and re-added; issue persists.

    *Reset SMC; issue persists.

    *Reset NVRAM/PRAM; issue persists.

    *MBP only 10' from router

    *During all occasions of MBP router dropping; a Chromebook has also been using wifi and has never dropped.

    *Once during a phone call to Apple Support; wifi signal dropped- I was talking to him on cordless and at the moment wifi dropped, cordless went to fast busy signal.

    *No other new electronics introduced into environment that may cause a conflict.

    *Could not be a router issue as previously mentioned Chromebook never drops. MBP and Chromebook only two devices using wifi.

    *No performance issues for this MBP when using ethernet connection via Anker hub.

    How do I correct this?

    Is Charging Your Phone Through a PC Safe?

    I was wondering if charging your iPhone through a USB connection to your PC will damage your battery in any way. I know that it charges very slowly and I'm not sure if that is healthy or not. I've seen mixed answers saying that it is actually good for the battery because it's charging so slow. Some also say it will degrade the battery faster because heat will build up from charging too long. Is there an answer to this?

    Convince me to switch to iPhone

    Basically, I've been thinking about switching from my samsung ecosystem to an apple one. Main reason is that my parents are nagging me and I'm feeling the pressure of not having facetime on my android phone. Other than that, I like iPad's app support and development (android tablets are a mess rn with apps), and phones last 5 or 6 years.

    What are other considerations to switch?

    Also, if I ever end up switching, I'm thinking about getting the watch SE (i cant justify the s6 price); I'm not too sure about an iPhone, should I get an iPhone 12 mini or an 11 Pro? Finally choosing an iPad will be the hardest: I'm considering getting an iPad Air or an iPad Pro: air for its price, pro for its 120hz display. I will mainly use it for drawing, watching videos, and taking notes in class, and latency is important. Which of the two should I get?

    Mac unlocked even after clamshell sleep?

    I have my mac set to require password after 5 minutes, though earlier today I closed it for about one hour and when I opened it again it was unlocked. Can that happen? I checked the activity log and it only shows when i closed it and opened it again, so there was certainly no other activity in the meantime.

    Is there any way to force a "skip" option for duplicate files when copying in Finder?

    On Big Sur, but I've experienced the problem in various older versions.

    When I am copying a large number of files to another folder, the options that I get on a collision vary. Sometimes it gives a "skip" option, and sometimes instead of "skip" it just has "stop." For perhaps obvious reasons, I find "skip" to be a much preferable option, as it allows me to continue copying the rest of the files after dealing with the collision file, or all of the collision files. But with the "stop" button being my only option, I am forced to choose to either waste tons of time copying files that have already been copied by using the "replace" option, or abort the whole operation, and perhaps have to go file-by-file through hundreds of files to identify the duplicate files manually and select only the non-duplicates by hand.

    If there were a way to force Finder to present the "skip" option instead of just the "stop" option, obviously I would like to do that. Is there? What are the criteria Finder applies to decide whether to give a "skip" option or only give a "stop" option?
