While I was setting it up I did it manually and put in all my information. Afterwards I noticed that I would receive texts from androids but not other iPhones. My text would come up green when I tried to text other iPhone users and they would not receive my text. Here's what I did that still did not fix the issue I reset my phone I turned my iMessage off then reset my phone I made sure my time was correct I verified my phone with my Apple ID I check to see if my internet was stable I took my SIM card out and put it back in I factory reset my phone I'm still having the same problems so I want to say it's the new OS update that's doing this but I'm not sure, any help? | Need help figuring out extracted data Posted: 18 Nov 2020 06:26 PM PST I did a scan of my iPhone 11 Pro, using a program called "decipher backup recovery", and when I selected the "Autocomplete Contacts" section of the extracted data, it showed what appear to be logs with interactions with numbers/contacts. It seems to be incomplete though, not sure why. Also, I can't for the life of me figure out what this means: com.Apple.private.alloy.maps.eta I assume it's when I shared my eta with a contact? I have an iPhone Xr that I had successfully paired with my wifi through a hotspot via my ethernet connected computer as i am in the basement and the router is on the 2nd floor. I travelled out of state last week and now that I am back my iPhone will connect to this wifi but it won't have internet access. this wifi still works on my amazon fire tablet (lol) perfectly so it is not the wifi itself or the connection. i tried to reset my iPhone's network connections as well as a factory reset and the problem persists. other wifi connections work on my iPhone (the one from the router works but since it is two floors up it is not a good connection which is why i use the hotspot from my desktop). What could have happened to make my once perfect wifi connection now a dud? Help! :( [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone X (13.5.1) - Silent notification delivery for Messages only when locked Posted: 18 Nov 2020 09:39 AM PST Hi everyone, been facing this weird issue that's left me scratching my head. I feel like I've exhausted all resources, and I hope somebody here has faced this issue before or can help point me in the right direction. The iPhone X is on iOS 13.5.1, and when it is locked, the Messages app delivers notifications silently without the screen lighting up or without any notification sound. Here's what I've ensured/tried: - Ringer switch is set to not be on silent - Do Not Disturb is off, and the Silence option within it is set to "Always" - Changed the text tone - Tried sending a test message with Bluetooth on & off This issue seems to get triggered after the phone is taken off silent mode by using the side switch, although I'm not 100% sure if this is a correlation or cause. Putting the phone on silent mode and then taking it off using the switch, seems to be the only way to reproduce the issue for now. This is not a problem with other apps like WhatsApp which delivers notifications just fine with a sound and also lights up the screen. Seconds later, sending a Messages text again causes a problematic non-sound notification. Any thoughts on what might be going on here? I would really appreciate any help here! [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 18 Nov 2020 11:43 AM PST iPhone 12 Mini (64GB) running IOS 14.2 My problem: I have a 64GB iPhone 12 (downgraded from a 128GB iPhone XR), and my iPhone Storage is Almost Full. I have been an iPhone user since 2010, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out iCloud. I look forward to the day I never have to see that message ever again. I pay $9.99 a month for the 2TB plan (shared with my wife), and I feel like I am not taking taking advantage of it. I've been on that plan for about 3 years. We have so much available space on iCloud, but my iPhone itself is maxed out on storage. My question: How on earth do I start from scratch, without losing 10 years worth of photos/videos. I don't mind having a brand new iPhone with absolutely nothing on it--back to how it was 10 years ago. Again, without losing 10 years worth of memory. Gosh, I feel dumb. I hope someone understands me and can help. Apps are taking up most of my iPhone storage. Should I delete all my apps? But when I try to call someone on my phone, the tmobile sound plays and an automated voice asks me what I need from it. Whenever I call anyone, but facetime works perfectly, also you know when you sign up for something new and they ask for a phone number to send a verification code? I have done about 2 or 3 of those so far and I havent gotten anything from them. It's the correct phone number, but I'm really confused. But when I text my friends on it, it works perfectly. | iphone 7 Microphone / Calling Issue Posted: 18 Nov 2020 05:03 AM PST iphone 7 running ios 14.2 So yesterday randomly my calls and microphone stopped working. It won't let me record voice notes and if i try call someone the call fails (tried on whatsapp snapchat and normal calls). If I record a video there is no sound when I play it back. Speakers are working fine apart from calls I can't hear the other person / call fails. Have tried restarting the phone a couple times and no luck. | Picture as attachment not in body of email Posted: 18 Nov 2020 12:34 AM PST In IOS 14 when sending a picture with the regular Mail app, pictures are in the body of the email. Before pictures were send as an attachment. Is there anyway to change this? I send a lot of pictures to my email because of my work and having them ass attachment is far easier. I know other email apps can be used like outlook but the standard Mail app is better because I can resize the image automatically te reduce Mb's send ------EDIT---- Example what happens now example what I want. added I example what I want and how pictures used to be send by the Mail app. I always send a picture from the Photo app this way they are always only as an attachment [link] [comments]  |
| Help to understand the picture/album logic Posted: 18 Nov 2020 03:47 AM PST Hey, I could need some help to understand the iPhone albums logic. My main goal is to get all the pictures I have on my Windows PC onto my iPhone "Recents" album, so I can sort them whenever I have free time with the app Slidebox. To do so, I've drag & dropped the pictures into the iPhone via Windows Explorer, as iTunes Sync did not work at all - kept me troubleshooting for hours so I finally gave up with this shitty program. After drag&dropping them onto the iPhone SD Card (connected over the Lightning/USB cable), they came out in an "DCIM" album, and have not been automatically detected by the Recents album, so now I still have my 2k pictures in Recents, and 5k pictures in an album called DCIM that I cannot open and sort in the Slidebox app. Can anyone help me get the pictures of this album into the Recents album? Is there a walkaround? I've seen that they appear if I duplicate pictures, might that be the way to go? Duplicate them in the same folder, sort them all by the app, then delete the folder? My iPhone 11 after a recent update was giving me some trouble, so I backed it up to my macbook then did a hard reset. This worked fine until i then tried to restore the back up from my computer. Now my phone is stuck in a boot loop. I have tried everything from the apple site, i've hard reset it into recovery mode, then updated through itunes. This seemed promising as it showed the process bar of the software install, then it just went straight back to the boot loop. I've tried a couple of times like other forums have suggested but nothing seems to be working. Any help is much appreciated. [link] [comments]  |
