It goes to the channel and we get the Prime logo, but it never actually loads and goes to the various shows. It's happened twice now and I've never gotten past it other than restarting the box. Posted: 07 Feb 2021 09:36 PM PST I about to buy an Apple TV 4K and it's out of stock in every store I check, and Amazon says 1-2 months for shipping. Apple of course says they can ship but they'll ship old stuff up until the day before something new. I see all the rumors about a new gaming focused ATV, but is there anything to suggest an announcement soon? I want to get a 4K device but not if the new one comes out in a few weeks. | Posted: 07 Feb 2021 07:28 PM PST I'm in the ESPN app on Apple TV 4k. Switching between ESPN and ESPN 2, the audio is playong from both channels at the same time. Tried to restart, didn't help. Any advice? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 07 Feb 2021 12:44 PM PST I have an AppleTV 4K and a HomePod in my workout room. Everything is updated to the most recent versions. I almost always have to reset the audio output to the HomePod from the TV speakers in the AppleTV control center. I thought there used to be a default option in settings so I wouldn't have to do this every time? I don't see it as an option under the audio settings. Am I missing something or will I always have to manually change this? [link] [comments]  |

| Controlling AppleTV via HDMI-CEC and TV Remote Posted: 07 Feb 2021 05:41 AM PST I just got a new TV (Sony 950H) and I'm going through the process of figuring out the best remote control setup. Previously I used Harmony to control everything - switch HDMI inputs for my receiver and TV, etc - but I'm noticing that HDMI control does a pretty good job of that natively now. I can switch to different devices on the TV itself and the receiver switches inputs automatically. The last step that I can't figure out is how to get the Sony TV remote to control the AppleTV - I can switch to that input and the receiver switches to the correct input, however I can't use the remote to navigate around on the AppleTV. I know you can "learn" via IR, but it's in media cabinet so I'd rather not go that route. I added the TV to HomeKit and can turn the TV on and off from there. I can find a lot of discussion about controlling a TV with the AppleTV remote but not a lot about the reverse. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  |
