    Alright, I have a strange question:

    Is it possible to annotate ebooks that you've purchased on the device w the apple pencil in the margins? Not PDFs but actual eBooks??? I'm trying to annotate and take notes in the margins but I want to *write* and not type. Please, somebody help me w this, it is (oddly) driving me nuts lol.

    If I need to purchase an app, that's no problem.

    A possible solution, I suppose: Converting eBooks to PDFs and annotating in Notability or something, which would be fine w me if it's the only solution.

    Okay. So I had a large bill accidentally overdraft my bank account that's attached to my debit card that I use for my Apple Pay a few days ago. Apple tried to charge for one of my subscriptions (Pandora I think) and it failed. So I have money in my account now. I can not figure out how to fix it and I'm at the throw-my-phone-across-the-room point.

    I have: Attempted to delete the payment method- it says I have a active subscription using that payment so it can't

    Re-add the same card- it says this card is already attached

    Delete the subscription for pandora.- did it but it still says it's active until nov 30th

    It won't let me edit my debit card at all. If I try to download an app it says It says my payment info needs to be fixed and brings me right back to the payment settings.

    It says under my card "your payment method was declined. Please enter another payment".

    I do not have another method. This is my only card. I'm going crazy. Why won't it update itself. I have plenty of money in my bank account now, it has said it's been declined since it initially happened.

    Someone please help me! I have an iPhone 8 Plus, in case that matters at all.

    iPod Shuffle (2nd Gen) wont turn on, iTunes can see and sync with it; also fully charged. But when I want to use it, it just doesnt turn on.

    My passwords aren't being remembered and I can't access them. I'm winding what's going on and how this can be fixed. For example if I log on a website, its not being remembered on Mac but the information is saved on my phone. What's going on?

    Battery Replacement

    My 2015 13" MacBook Air battery could use a replacement, it dies really quickly on me.

    Apple said I need to get the battery replaced and asked me to schedule an appointment, but the only appointments within the next month are hours away.

    Can I replace it on my own and order a battery online? Or is this not worth the trouble?

    Side note: I know i'm probably due for a laptop upgrade but financially i'd rather squeeze some more time out of this one.

    my iPhone cant back up to my mac

    I am unable to back up my ipod or iphone to my mac whitch is kinda old. The button is just grayyed out. Can anyone help. 12.8.2.3 is the version of iTunes. mac os is 10.12.6 (there is another mac os 12 update but cant ubtate past that). there is still 300 gigobites on the mac and the iphone is a 2020 Iphone SE iOS 14.1 (there is 14.2 avalible). Do the ios's not collaborate?

    Find my iPhone tone but no notification or email?

    Hi all,

    My phone just started vibrating and I recognized the Find my iPhone tone. There was no notification and no email. Has this happened to anything else? I changed my iCloud password to be safe but I already had 2FA on, same with my email.

    Which Max for teacher

    Hey guys, looking for some advice on getting a new Mac for my wife.

    She's currently using a mid 2017 MBP 13, base model and is running into performance issues. She using it to teach from home so it's connected to 2 external monitors and running lots of chrome tabs with video hangouts. The old MBP is just not handling it well and is overheating and slow. I have a 2019 MBP 16 i9 which is killing it but I really don't want to spend that kind of money.

    With the release of the new M1 models is super tempting to just replace the old MBP with either a Air or Pro running the new M1 chip. The big question is really two fold.

    1) MacBook Air M1 base (7 GPU Cores) or MacBook Pro base 2) Do I need 16 GB Ram for all the chroming, or is 8 enough with the M1

    Remote got wet won't work

    Mac Pro adding a hyphen after every single letter typed.

    Asking for a friend, not my own device.

    He's got a 2015 Mac Pro that updated to Big Sur just a few months ago. There have been no issues at all up until this point when this issue became a thing. Basically, after literally every single keystroke, the computer would add a hyphen immediately after. And if the backspace is pressed on a hyphen, instead of deleting it, it will replace it with a space.

    I've looked thoroughly for a solution everywhere on the internet, but couldn't find anything like it. Good thing to note is that the keyboard is definitely not the source of the problem- the issue is still there even after switching out three different keyboards, which means that it's a software issue. A very strange one.

    Any ideas on what could be going wrong?

    Airpods disconnect problem

    They disconnect fine but sometimes they start playing music for some reason and I dont hear it bc my volume is down and that leads to battery drain. Had this problem since iOS 12. I have the second gen wireless case Airpods and an iPhone Xr om iOS 14.0.1

    Thinking of buying the new M1 MBP. Is AppleCare+ worth it?

    I've never owned an apple device before and just wanted to know if AppleCare+ is worth the extra ~$340 (converted, because I do not live in the US). Thinking of buying the 13 inch M1 MBP with 16gb of RAM and 256gb of SSD. Any idea about the out of warranty repair costs will be very helpful. Thanks.

    Stuck on Restore Screen.

    Ever since I installed iOS 14 Apple Music starts playing whenever i start my car and it’s really annoying. So far haven’t found a solution. I have this song playing because I don’t want my eardrums to burst. Either way I’ve canceled my Apple Music subscription because of this

    There is a blue smudge on my screen on the top and bottom and my battery is at 78% capacity even though it's been 8 months only compared to my sibling whose phone maximum capacity is at 91%. I have an iPhone 11. Would this be covered on the 1 year warranty? I couldn't imagine this being something because of a accidental drop.

    I noticed that my iPad would not turn on a few days ago. I tried everything. Leaving it on the charger, holding down the home and power button. Nothing turned it on. I ordered a cord to hook it up to my Mac. It started up iTunes which was hopeful, downloaded the software to update and restore. There's nothing on my iPad I care about losing. Then I got an error telling me to update my Mac software. Did that. Not I'm stuck on error (4) telling me to check third party security. I think my security is all up to date, none of it should be spammed. Any idea where to go from here?? I'm guessing my next stop is the Apple store but just wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions.

    MBP 2011 15" High Kernel_Task CPU Usage

    Hi all!

    I'm currently using a MBP early 2011 15" running High Sierra 10.13.6 that I got repaired in late June 2020. Battery was replaced and logic board was repaired. Everything was working fine until I booted it up last night after not using and charging it for a week.

    On normal boot up, after around ~20 seconds, the kernel_task immediately spikes and takes up like 500%+++ of the CPU, rendering it very sluggish. My laptop is also not charging at all. It works while plugged in but it says "Battery is Not Charging". The MagSafe charger is also lit green, not amber.

    Also, I've just booted it into Safe Boot and it works perfectly fine. Kernel_task is not spiking whatsoever and over 90% of my CPU remains idle. I've uninstalled all of my programs like Microsoft Word etc., Messenger, Discord, and the like. The only ones I left are CoconutBattery and MacsFanControl. Even after deleting all these stuff off my laptop, it's still a mess when I boot it normally.

    Would anyone have an idea on what could be wrong? I don't know what's happening since the kernel_task issue is gone while in Safe Mode...is this a software issue? Or a hardware one? If it's a hardware one, I may just have to give up on this laptop already. Unless using it only on Safe Mode is perfectly fine lol

    Apologies in advance as I'm not that good with this kind of stuff.

    macbook pro display

    I have a 2018 macbook pro and the display has a problem and is creating a dark 2 inch line across the right hand side of the display. Don't have a warranty and have gotten a few quotes from Mac store and computer repair store $800 and $400 estimates on it. I'm in India right now also. any ideas or trouble shooting I could try? Any help is appreciated. Thanks again!
