    I have one of those new “Apple Gift Card” that I bought digitally from a gift card app, I want to add it to my wallet app alongside an older Apple Store card but there is no code for me to scan in order to add it to wallet... is it still possible with these new Apple Gift Cards?

    iPad Mini charging delay??

    My iPad mini 5 seems to have a delayed charging reaction - it's very minimal, like a 2 second delay, but still weird. My iPad Air never had this issue. It's almost a year old and I don't have AppleCare. Is this possibly just a software issue? I read some other things where people have had the same issue, so I'm not too concerned. But it is still an odd situation. Any help is appreciated!

    Will I have problems switching to 2FA?

    I have a complicated home system and have been putting off 2FA because of its complexity, although for security reasons I would love to have it enabled. I posted this on the Apple Support forum and only got 1 reply/opinion.

    We are running the latest Catalina on 2 Macs, Mojave on 2, and the latest iOS on our iPhones.

    Problem 1:

    My wife and I share our AppleIDs for mail as well as some for other contact info that we want to share. Email/Calendar/Contacts/Notes/Etc. are on one AppleID, purchases are on another, all shared. Although we were cautioned that we would have problems, we have had 99.99% success in this system. We have it finely tuned and it works great. If we went to 2FA will we get into trouble with the notifications not getting to the right person/device? We each have several Macs and an iPhone each.

    Problem 2:

    At least before COVID we liked to travel out of the country. Would we have problems getting 2FA requests through via Wi-Fi only, if we didn't have cell coverage? Obviously without Wi-Fi we wouldn't be accessing AppleIDs anyway.

    I have a programming/tech support background, and delve into the depths of the OS (at least on macOS), but don't want to get caught by any gotchas. I guess at the moment when we switch we have 2 weeks to opt out, but I'm afraid for the time when that goes away and we HAVE to switch.

    I'm told $100 will get me a refurbished phone through carrier insurance. Is it cheaper to do it nyself because I wouldnt mind.

    Apple Watch app won't launch after pairing series 6

    Hi! For the longest time, I had a series 3 Nike paired to my iPhone 11 Pro Max (iOS 14.0.1) and I had no problem whatsoever with the watch or the phone. When the Series 6 came out, I decided to upgrade to a new watch. I got it in the mail yesterday and paired it with no problem. For the rest of the evening, I was fiddling around with the new features and watch faces. When I woke up this morning, my watch would not connect to my phone. I tried opening the apple watch app and it simply would not open. I contacted apple support and they told me to do a force-shutdown on both the watch and the phone, to erase both my old watch and my new watch, and to finally erase the contents of my phone and restore it with a backup. Nothing worked. I'm not even able to re-pair my watch because the Apple Watch app still won't launch. I can't even delete and reinstall the app since it tells me I still have a watch paired when I don't.

    Does anyone have an at-home solution?

    Apps won’t run and spotlight search is missing from the top

    I'm currently using a 2019 MacBook Pro and I recently encountered a problem were the google tabs would crash and i had to reload the page. The next day, I checked the laptop and now I can't open most of the apps, All i would get is a warning that the app closed unexpectedly multiple times. It also wont let me restart because it says that my iPhone is still connected and its still not done syncing. Anyone know why this is happening?

    Can't access Ipad anymore, what to do?

    I have had my Ipad for a long time, a few years ago I added an iCloud to it but then forgot the account details. A few months ago I decided to reset my Ipad but when trying to reboot it, it asks for the iCloud details when I don't know it. Is this the end of my Ipad? How can I get back in?

    App Issue My starbucks doesn’t work it won’t let me sign in with any accounts on my iphone because it says it’s in the UK yet I try to change it back to U.S.A. and it keeps changing it to UK again.

    SOLVED: I just opened it again, checked the metal plate and cable folding, all good. And then it hit me, the new Battery is about 15% thicker! I first cut the black endings of the adhesive stripes under the battery so it gets thinner. The Display functionality became better with more 3D-Touchable area. Then I completely removed the three adhesive stripes and placed two short new ones at the top back of the battery so the lower part gets even thinner. Kinda a workaround, but it solved it! Thank you for your suggestions, it helped me find the actual problem! Cannot understand how Apple removed 3D-Touch after the iPhone 8. I lost it for a couple of hours and felt soo slow in my workflow 🙈

    Hi everyone 👋

    I replaced the battery of my iPhone 7 Plus today. Followed the instructions and everything went well. With the battery replacement kit, there was also a waterproof display adhesive seal strip which also fits the frame. After closing the phone and starting up, I realized the 3D Touch (which I use very frequently) only works at the corners of the screen.

    I noticed, that the original Apple adhesive seal is quite thick or thicker as the cheap eBay seal and thought I could improve the situation by stacking the old strip (I only had the bottom line left from the old one) and put it on top of the new strip.

    I also tried out to open the screen from the body again slightly and test it, the 3D touch works perfectly then. Only if I screw in back the two 3.4 mm pentalobe screws it doesn't work anymore in the middle of the screen. If i unscrew it a little, so they are not screwed in completely until the end the situation improves but not completely.

    At the moment the 3D touch does not work on the keyboard buttons e,r,t,y,u,i, and f,g,h,j. or the middle six icons on the home screen.

    Since it works, when the screen is slightly opened (a millimeter) or the screws at the bottom are unscrewed, the display connections appear to be allright. If I press tightly at the bottom of the iPhone (under the keyboard, not on the screen) and try the 3D Touch, it again, doesn't work in the middle of the screen.

    My first theory is, that the replacement seal is too thin. But I might have screwed something else up and do not what it could be.

    Where does the 3D Touch function inside the phone? Could it be, that the screen is closed too tight or the seal is too thin? Or could it be something else?

    my Macbook air (2017) fan has started making a grinding noise when I pick it up sometimes

    This evening, out of nowhere i picked my laptop up while I was using it in bed and it made a horrible loud grinding noise and now it's done it a few more times. I've had something stuck inside it before and this seems to be a different issue. I have a few questions:

    1. What is wrong with the computer?
    2. how much will it cost to fix (in the UK)?
    3. Is it better to go to an actual apple store or to an apple authorised service provider?
    4. How worried should i be?

    Do I need to factory reset my iPhone after my apple ID was hacked

    A couple days ago, I woke up to an email saying that someone had accessed my Apple ID from China. Right after that email, apps started downloading on my iPhone 6 (mostly games but oddly enough the weight watchers app as well). I caught it really quickly, so was able to reset my password just a few minutes after they access to my account. I also enabled 2 factor identification and went through the steps on Apple's website about what to do when your Apple ID is compromised.

    My question is, do I need to factory reset my phone? Also, I have a bunch of pictures on my phone that I'd rather not lose. If I need to reset my phone, is there a way to save them? Is downloading them to the Cloud and then to my computer a safe option? Is there another way? If I don't need to reset my phone, is it safe to plug my phone into my Mac book to save these photos? Thanks for everyone's help!

    my screen stopped working

    for most of today, my phone screen has been glitching a ton- random buttons being pressed, some pressing not working, and the screen jerking as though i moved my finger. when i turn my phone off and on (no reset) it works for like 10 seconds then stops working again.

    writing only to here has taken 7 resets. ive tried both soft and hard resets multiple times. i tried letting my phone die than recharge.

    i have an iphone xs for reference, ios 14. any advice is welcome. any ideas?

    Restoring Time Machine Backup - Two Active Macs?

    How do i reset an iphone 7 if i cant access appleID

    Hi all,

    I have an old iphone 7 (company phone) i need to factory reset.

    the previous user is still logged in with their apple ID and i cant use itunes or settings to restore the device.

    Is there anyway i can force a full wipe of the device? The device hasnt been used in 2 years. and contacting the previous user isnt an option.

    Stop messages coming to my iPad from my iPhone.

    I just bought an iPad Pro 11 inch. It has its own SIM card and number. I have signed into it with my Apple ID, but all of my pictures, messages, etc...is own the iPad as well.

    Is there a way to remove these, so it's its own device, where the pictures/messages from my phone don't show up on my iPad, but I still want to have the same apps from the App Store.

    What are the benefits of having an iPhone and a MacBook?

    I know some about the ecosystem but I don't know much about the benefits of having a powerful sync. From my friend's iPhone I know that calls, notifications, safari, texts syncs and that's superior compared to any competitors but what else? Since I'm buying an iPhone and MacBook soon I want to know more from someone who have a lot of experience about the ecosystem. Also that peek messages without "read" is awesome and group all third party app calls into default call app is awesome too.

    Is it possible to transfer a call between Apple Watch 6 and iPad or Mac?

    Is it possible to transfer a facetime Apple Watch call to a Mac or iPad? If a regular phone call comes to my iPhone I can answer the call on any device I want, iPad, Mac, Watch, etc. But a facetime call I can only transfer to the iPhone and vice-versa. Any ideas?

    your account has been disabled in the app store and itunes - wife mistakenly thought some charges were fraudulent and called the bank to report, now apple says it will not ever reenable my account. What are my options?

    Title says most of it. My wife saw some purchases and did not recognize them and called the bank (they were listed with a different name than the app so I did not recognize them either) to report them. When my account was disabled I contacted apple support and they reenabled it and told me to contact them directly in the future which I agreed to do. However, because we reported several charges they kept disabling my account even though we realized our mistake after the first time. Each time I thought it was fixed they would re-disable my account a few days later. The last time they said it was permanent and that there was nothing I could do, sorry, good luck, bye. I only have one ipad (necessary for my work) and otherwise use windows/google tech. I tried signing out of the disabled appleid that was associated with the ipad and creating a new one in hopes that I could use the app store again but it still says the account is disabled. I tried using a new payment method on the new appleid but still disabled.

    Is there a way to continue using the ipad and be able to use the app store as well? There are some apps I use for work and if they get updated and I cannot update in the app store I am screwed. Am I just done using apple products forever and need to hope this app never receives an update? Would a factory reset help? What are my options? This seems excessively harsh and I do not know what to do.
