    Many iOS apps crashing on launch

    Spotify, TikTok, Gmail, Pinterest, and Facebook communities are reporting their apps crashing without loading into the app all of a sudden. I assume more apps will follow in their footsteps as well. I'll post any updates here when I find them.

    Edit: Appears to be a Facebook SDK issue, thanks u/bdawg923 for pointing that out.

    Edit 2: FB rolled back a premature change serverside, everything should be working now.

    I updated my iPhone X about 2 weeks ago, and every day since an alarm has went off at 8:45am. I don't even have an alarm able to be set at 8:45 and all the bedtime timers are off. Anything I can do?

    You developed an iOS grocery shopping app. What is the one iOS feature it MUST have.

    It's ok if you suggest a feature that would be available on any platform.

    Assume the app can already:

    Save recipes from websites, or manual entry.

    Creste a grocery list from your recipes for the week.

    Recipes/Grocery list sync to shared family members.

    Grocery list is smart enough to auto-combine similar items.

    You can order grocery list items directly from the app.

    All data is backed up in cloud, in case you ever lose or upgrade your iOS phone.

    As a software developer, what capability would you add to your own iOS grocery list app?

    Spotify crashing

    Spotify is useless, I can't listen to my music because the app crashes every time I open it, after the newest update (v8.5.56). The app only works well during a few seconds and then, it closes. I don't know if is the update or an iOS issue. Have you experienced the same problem?

    40 days for deletion?

    When you go into 'recently deleted' on the photos app, it states that deleting photos may take up to 40 days. What is the purpose of this? After 40 days are the photos actually deleted from Apple servers? I'm confused by the language/terminology. Any clarification would be awesome

    Carrier name still showing despite on airplane mode

    Is this a bug or it's just how it is? Saw similar thread here, but no update. Saw a thread from another web and they said it's gone on ios 13.4.1, but im on the ios 13.4.1 and it still is showing. It only disappears if i turn off wifi along having the phone on airplane mode.

    Phone not going to mobile sites

    This just started for me yesterday, and is continuing to do so after restarting, toggling request desktop site on and off, and clearing the cache/history....anyhow, whenever I google something in Safari, it brings up the desktop view search result page, and even some links I click go to desktop, even when they've always gone to mobile before. Searched this and couldn't find anything about it, anyone have an idea?

    Edit: it's only doing this with google, the other default search engines are fine.

    Shazam was activ in the background the whole night

    I’m not sure if this is a bug or what, or if this even fits on this subreddit but, my apps randomly started crashing out of the blue. I’m on iOS 13.4.1, iPhone model is the iPhone XR. Tried restarting my phone, but that did nothing to fix it. It’s never been jailbroken. Weird.

    I use the Apple stock mail app to check my emails. Both my Work and Personal mail accounts are on Gmail. However, when I am trying to set the email delivery option to "Push" under the " Fetch New Data" options, I dont see the "Push" option for both the Gmail ids. I do see "Push" option for iCloud though. What could be the reason that the "Push" option is not there?

    Hi all !

    Just wanted to let you know that Google started another wave of migrating users of Gmail to dark mode !! (at least I think so..)

    I was browsing this subreddit this morning and saw a post about Gmail app getting dark mode, and some other comments on the post saying they got it as well !

    So I went right away to my app to test. It didn't get any dark mode at first, I had to disable the account and reenable it. To do that : - toggle Dark Mode on in iOS - open Gmail app - tap your photo in the upper right corner - tap Manage Accounts on this device - turn off your account(s) (I only have one, didn't test with multiple accounts, but I think you should turn all of them off — ?) - force quit Gmail within the multitask screen - reopen Gmail (at this stage, you will be greeted with the classical dark spalsh screen and then it turns light as usually) - enable your account (again : I don't know how it would work with multiple accounts but I would enable only the most recently created Google Account first to see) - now the app should get dark mode !

    Should I mention I am based in Europe/France ? Maybe they enable dark mode location based.

    Let us know if this worked for you, for me it worked right away.

    Two factor done with an app I'd becoming pervasive. If Apple did a good app, and built it in, they could tie it into iCloud so erasing your phone doesn't make you lose your entries.
