Announcing a New Flair Website, an improved Flair Bot & Jailbreak Icon flairs

There's a brand new website to set your flairs, with Reddit authentication and u/JailbreakFlairBot is now smarter. (No more sending PMs with random letters to the bot and hoping you didn't accidentally change something).

While authenticating with Reddit, you can see that the website only has access to your username and nothing else.

    Find it here

It has a huge list of features including:

    1. Supports choosing Jailbreaks: You can choose a nice jailbreak icon to display next to your flair. A lot of people were asking for this, and we're glad to bring this feature. Yay!
    2. You can build you own flair piece-by-piece including components you like (just iPhone/iPad or include the model name like SE). You can preview your flair before finalizing it too.
    3. Works on Mobile: This was the biggest problem with the old website and that has been fixed. You can set your flairs from mobile! The site is beautifully optimized for mobile devices now.
    4. Flairs set INSTANTLY: No more waiting 10 minutes for the bot to respond. Flairs are set almost instantly. (You'll also get a PM confirming your flair change).
    5. Developers and Designer Flair requests: Now you can request for a Designer or a Developer Flair right from the website. Fill in a description or add a link to your package/theme and a request will be automatically sent. Flairs can now be approved by us in one click. Hopefully that should speed up the whole request and approval process. Please use this website starting today to request for either of those flairs. We'll still accept modmails, but obviously the website is way better for all of us.

Hope this makes it easier for people to get accurate help, and show off their devices and jailbreaks.

Note: We have removed WatchOS and Apple TV flair choices from the website because it's very rarely used and to make the most used flairs accessible. However, if you want these flairs, please send a modmail and we'll be happy to set the flair for you.

Also, just a request: Please try to keep your flair up to date (and it's incredible easy to do now). This would allow people to provide more accurate help faster.

[Question] is there any tweak that adds menu accents that match each album like iOS 9? I currently have ColorFlow, Accent, Melted Crayons & My Music + installed and tested them all out but none have that specific feature.

[request] an in-app lyric viewer for Spotify

    Posted: 15 Apr 2020 07:31 PM PDT

Apple Music has had in app lyrics for a while now and Spotify has their "Genius" lyrics where it displays one or two lines a minute and then gives like the meaning behind it (which I couldn't care less about tbh) but I didn't know if there was a tweak already out there, from what I've seen it was back in iOS8 and I'm not trying to brick my phone for lyrics, or if anyone knew of anything that would accomplish the same thing.. thanks for reading my essay :)

[Tutorial] Verbose booting manually with checkm8 on 64-bit devices.

    Posted: 15 Apr 2020 07:10 PM PDT

    ~~REQUIREMENTS~~

    • A macOS or Linux computer.

    • img4lib

    • tsschecker

    • Kairos

    • libusb (Install via brew on macOS, or via your package manager on Linux.)

    • img4tool

    • iRecovery

    • The IPSW for your specific device and version from IPSW.me, OR

    • partialZipBrowser (you'll need to get the link to your IPSW and manually download the files that are required).

    • The tools for your specific CPU below.

    • For A7, use this fork of ipwndfu to enter pwned DFU mode and remove signature checks for booting.

    • For A8, use this fork of ipwndfu to enter pwned DFU, and this tool to remove signature checks for booting.

    • For A9, use the same tools as A8.

    • For A10, use the same tools as A7.

    • For A11, use this fork of ipwndfu to enter pwned DFU mode and remove signature checks for booting.

    ~~INSTRUCTIONS~~

    1. Extract your IPSW, and grab these files:

    - Firmware/dfu/iBSS.*.RELEASE.im4p

    - Firmware/dfu/iBEC.*.RELEASE.im4p

    - Firmware/all_flash/DeviceTree.*.im4p

    - kernelcache.release.*

These files will be different for everyone, just make sure you choose the ones for your device. Replace the parts with asteriks in this guide with the actual filenames.

Copy them into a folder for organization.

    2. Open up a terminal, cd to the folder that contains the files, and then save blobs using tsschecker. The syntax goes like this: tsschecker -d <model identifier> -l -e <ECID> -s. Fill out the brackets with your model identifier (a list can be found here, the only devices it doesn't include are the new SE and the new iPad Pros afaik), and your ECID (which can be found from iTunes, System Info, etc). I'd recommend renaming the file to blob.shsh2 for simplicity purposes.

    3. Run this command: img4tool -e -s *.shsh2 -m IM4M. This converts the SHSH file into an IM4M file, which we then use to sign our .im4p files so that we can use them for verbose booting.

    4. Run this command: img4 -i iBSS.*.RELEASE.im4p -b. This will print the kbags, which we can then decrypt using ipwndfu. There will be 2 lines of text, we are wanting to use the first line, which we'll call kbag.

    5. Connect your device to your PC, put it into DFU mode, and then cd into wherever you have the ipwndfu folder stored, and run ipwndfu, using ./ipwndfu -p. After the device successfully enters DFU mode (it may take a couple tries for some devices), run this command: ./ipwndfu --decrypt-gid=<kbag>. Fill out the bracket with your kbag. It should give you another line of text, which we'll call dkbag, short for decrypted kbag.

    6. cd back into the directory where your files are stored. Then, run this command: img4 -i iBSS.*.RELEASE.im4p -o ibss.raw -k <dkbag> Replace <dkbag> with your dkbag. This will decrypt the iBSS and extract the payload to ibss.raw.

    7. Run this command: kairos ibss.raw ibss.pwn. This will patch out all signature checks in iBSS, which is needed to verbose boot.

    8. Run this command: img4 -i ibss.pwn -o ibss -M IM4M -A -T ibss. This will place the pwned iBSS payload back into an im4p, and then sign it using the IM4M we made earlier to create an IMG4, which we can then upload over iRecovery.

    9. Repeat steps 4, 5 (You only run the command to decrypt the kbag), 6, 7 (For step 7, make sure to run this command: kairos ibec.raw ibec.pwn -b "-v", which will add the verbose boot-arg to our iBEC, allowing us to verbose boot), and 8, but with iBEC. You'll want to replace any mentions of iBSS with iBEC.

    10. Run this command: img4 -i DeviceTree.*.im4p -o devicetree -M IM4M -T rdtr. After, run this command: img4 -i kernelcache.release.* -o kernel -M IM4M -T rkrnThis is creating DeviceTree and kernelcache images that we can send via iRecovery, which are required to boot.

    ~~BOOTING~~

    1. Patch signature checks on your device to allow for unsigned image loading

    • For A7, cd into the ipwndfu directory and run python rmsigchks.py.

    • For A8, you'll have to reboot, and enter DFU again. From there, run the eclipsa tool to enter pwned DFU mode and remove signature checks.

    • For A9, follow the steps for A8.

    • For A10, follow the steps for A7.

    • For A11, cd into the ipwndfu directory, and run ./ipwndfu --patch to remove signature checks.

    2. Run these commands in this order:

    • irecovery -f ibss

    • irecovery -f ibec

    • irecovery -f devicetree

    • irecovery -c "devicetree"

    • irecovery -f kernel

    • irecovery -c "bootx"

Now, your device should be booting with verbose output!

I'll make a guide for booting with custom bootlogos soon.

    [Upcoming] S-ID-Check Jailbreak Detection Bypass

    Posted: 15 Apr 2020 06:07 PM PDT

I successfully patched the latest version (v2.0.1) of the German banking app S-ID-Check

I made a post publishing the patched IPA but it got removed since it violated copyright. Therefore I'm going to make it into a stand-alone tweak during the next days in order to be able to release it. Since I'm fairly new to tweak development I wonder if someone is interested in the tweak and may be also interested in helping me to recreate the binary patch at tweak level?

I'm also going to start working on the two related apps S-pushTAN and Sparkasse-App. If I'm going to be successful with these, I'm going to release them too.

[help] On iOS13 and lowkey wanna change it back to iOS6 (with tweaks, not like actually downgrading the software). Know of anything to make it look like iOS6?

    Posted: 15 Apr 2020 08:54 PM PDT

So far, on the home screen I have the apps themed to classic ios with snowboard and then also with snowboard I have the dock set to classic ios and with lock screen I have Six (LS) to have the "swipe to unlock" along with the OG style of notifications/time. Only thing I can't think of that's missing is the app switcher (like how it had a row on the bottom with the app icons and a little 'x' in the top right of the app.. anyone know a tweak to get that? Also if there's anything else I'm missing please let me know. I don't know why I have the need to go back to iOS6 but it's kinda nostalgic in a way :)

EDIT: Thanks to Chromeback, Aion is prolly the best one out there for now. Aion isn't released yet so you have to be a patron to SparkDev which I don't usually pay for one tweak let alone a monthly donation but I'd say it was worth it. It also let me get notchless for free and that subtlety makes the iOS6 go even better.

April 15: Beta 2 has been released. (Added a 'revert' button to remove edited assets/imported images and a potential fix on missing exported folder.)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Disclaimers:

    • The recompilation of the asset catalog file (.car) is an experimental feature. [Question] Netflix has implemented jailbreak detection on the latest version

    Posted: 15 Apr 2020 08:11 AM PDT

Netflix kept crashing on the latest version when I was in the jailbroken mode. I switched back to the non-jailbroken mode and Netflix worked just fine.

I downgraded it to the previous version using AppStore++ and it's working fine, so I think Netflix has a jailbreak detection in their app now.

I've tried Choicy, Liberty Lite, A-bypass, and Unsub to bypass it but none is working, so my question is is there other bypass tweak that I could try?

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: Haha, my bad. It was not actually a jailbreak detection. It was because of the bettermultitasking tweak. I disabled it and Netflix is working fine now.

[Tutorial] How to setup SmartBattery efficiently

    Posted: 15 Apr 2020 07:46 AM PDT

    Hey guys,

So I am writing this small guide to help you configure SmartBattery efficiently, SmartBattery has some many features, I will only go through the technical non aesthetic ones:

First of all, the tweak is split into two sections, the battery icon theming in one part, and the others in another, I did this on purpose because battery theming and adding

percentage into it will obviously consume more battery by nature, if you are not using this option, please head into icleanerpro and disable "Battery.dylib"

Now let's configure the other settings:

I set to enable LPM at 50%.

I enable custom interval and set it from 70 to 50%.

    Enable boost battery option.

Set notification alert when the battery reaches 70%.

Enable tap to enable LPM on the battery icon.

Enable Clever LPM, what this does in Enable LPM when the phone is locked(keeps the battery strong and I don't need the resources when it's locked) and disables it back when

    unlocked.

Enable Alert on Full, as this sends you a notification when your phone is fully charged, so you remove it from the charger.

Smart WiFi is very important, iOS by nature doesn't truly disable WiFi when it's toggled off in CC, it puts it in hibernate state, and this consumes battery alongside keeping

mobile data on when you don't need it so what this option do is when WiFi is enabled and connected it turns off mobile data permanetly and the other way when you leave the house and

lose wifi connection it automatically disables WiFi and enable back Mobile Data.

I activate no alert (banner) this option removes the annoying alert when the phone reaches 20% and sends you a notification instead

    Charging section:

Enable Smart Charging: when the phone is connected via AC it turns on LPM and when disconnected it turns it off.

Enable Fast charging: very important, when phone is charging this option disables all wifi and mobile data and turns on airplane to charge in a very fast manner, this has

a cool option called threshold, what this do is you set a time in seconds, for example if you set 10seconds, then every 10 seconds it disables airplane mode and restores

connnectivity to fetch important notifications and then turns them off to keep charging fast.

This is it guys, if you have any requests or problems drop them in the comments below.

    [Question] Removing checkra1n jailbreak

    Posted: 15 Apr 2020 11:46 PM PDT

    Hello all,

I have decided to remove my checkra1n jailbreak. I went into the checkra1n app and did rootfs, and my phone is now unjailbroken. I was wondering if there are any traces of jailbreak left on my phone. If there are, is there a way to get rid of the files without completely resetting my phone's data?
