| iPhone 11 Pro Max disconnecting and reconnecting WiFi upon waking up from sleep Posted: 08 Feb 2020 05:54 PM PST My iPhone 11 Pro Max drops the wifi connection and reconnects upon waking up from sleep. As in, I see the wifi icon when I wake it up, then it switches to LTE for a brief second, then it connects to wifi again. I turned the wifi assist setting off, and am on the latest iOS version but the issue persists. I even tried resetting network settings which only fixes temporarily. This has been happening for the past month or so and don't think it has always been this way with my previous iPhone X or XS Max. After a chat with Apple Support, and going through all the troubleshooting steps, they told me the iPhone reconnecting to wifi after waking up from sleep is expected behaviour. It does not mean the phone used cellular data during sleep. Is this true? I'm wondering if a phone replacement is needed. This happens with all the wifi networks not just at home. I actually went to a Genius appointment at an Apple Store. For some reason, I couldn't reproduce the issue with the Apple Store WiFi. Maybe it didn't go into deep enough sleep? The device passed all diagnostics and I was told to factory reset without restoring apps and data. Is this the only way to fix this? [link] [comments]  |

I use my primary phone for basically everything and it is huge on top of that I use a battery case which make it seem like I'm carrying a small brick. So I wanted to buy a small iPhone and I did a lot of research and have decided to get either the 128GB Variants of the iPhone 6S or iPhone SE. Since both have headphone jacks and Touch ID. I usually use phones for a long time instead of upgrading every other year. My previous phone was an iPhone 4 which I used until the end of 2017 when it got stolen from me. That phone was bought in 2011, and lasted so many years. So I was looking to get either an iPhone that'll last a couple of years. Battery life may not be an issue for me since I'll buy either phone used and I will change the battery, also use a battery case if needed. However the size is an issue that is why I am deciding between an iPhone 6S or SE. 6S seems to have a decent screen size and it kind of looks like the iPhone 8 from far away and the SE being a smaller phone should give better battery life. | Posted: 08 Feb 2020 06:20 PM PST So I recently purchased an iPhone 7 128gb(latest ios) and as i was restoring it, it went into a black screen from which I have to turn on using Power/Volume Down. It comes to a restore screen with a computer and telling me to plug into iTunes. I plugged it in, it says that I have to Restore and update, I download the ios and try to install, as it shuts my iPhone down, iTunes gets stuck at the 'Waiting for iPhone' screen. However, I cannot disable it before I try and use it on LTE. And at that point I've already wasted 5-15 mb from the app opening. Woke up and it was dead, wouldnt charge. Put it in rice, and 8 hours later its showing the recharge icon when I press the buttons. What do I do? - wait it out in the rice for longer? | Help i do not know if my iphone has a virus Posted: 08 Feb 2020 05:44 AM PST Now my phone is a 4 year old iphone 5s and it has lately acted very weird. it says no service up at the top and my battery drains about 8% every 6-8 minutes. this phone always drained battery quick but never this quick. All of this happened when i tried to watch a movie and clicked on a website just to see and it just entered so many p*** websites. and about 3 days later i lost service weirdly enough. i want help. i looked up all the symptoms of a virus on iphone and only the draining battery fast one matched. also i cant even update ios it just says: failed to connect to the internet.
