- Just bought the Macbook Pro Sleeve for the 16 in, and it looks great so far. I will post an update later to show any patina that develops. Post any questions you have about the product and I'll be sure to answer what I can.

Macbook pro 13 or Macbook pro 15? Posted: 25 Feb 2020 10:15 AM PST I'm trying to decide between getting a macbook pro 13 2018 16gb 256gb ram or a macbook pro 15 2017 16gb ram 256gb. I will be using this computer for college work, mostly typing and media consumption. [link] [comments]
Deleted trackpad .plist files. What do I do? Posted: 25 Feb 2020 03:32 PM PST 2015 MacBook Pro. My trackpad was unresponsive so I decided to delete its plist files to see if that would work. However when I did that, system preferences now says that there is no trackpad at all. What can I do? I do not have a previous backup to resort to either. [link] [comments]
Do you use a case with your 16 MBP? Posted: 25 Feb 2020 07:07 PM PST I'm curious if any of you use a case with the MBP. I have seen some use a variation of this case, it seems to be "perfect" since cooling is not blocked and protecting. But it seems to add a significant bulk. Any recommendations? Macbook Pro (Early 2015) froze and became terribly slow after restarting it Posted: 25 Feb 2020 01:48 PM PST Sorry! Not a very technical person so please forgive how i explain my situation. 😠I use my macbook mainly for work so I need to know if I can repair this myself or if i'd have to bring it to a center. Macbook froze while I was playing The Sims 4 on it so I shut it down using the off key. When I turned it on, it was terribly slow and would take super long to open Adobe apps which would usually only take 10 seconds or so. Everything's lagging! Hope you can help me out with this! Thanks so much in advance [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Feb 2020 10:48 AM PST I have an older 13" MacBook Pro late 2011 that has a failing hard drive. I can't get it to boot. I can get to recovery mode, but I can't do much else with it from there. I tried to image the drive but it fails. I also can't seem to get a working USB boot device created for some reason. My only resources are to do this on Windows, but everytime I try to do it using Transmac, it won't show up on the MacBook in the boot options screen. I can get a USB linux booter to work. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Feb 2020 09:20 AM PST 8gb vs 16gb ram Hello guys, i want to buy a new macbook pro 13" with 8/16gb ram and 128/256gb ssd. i only would use it for office programms, surfing, videos, light video editing with imovie/resolve, coding with eclipse. (for school) and i also want to use windows on the macbook via bootcamp. would you buy the 8gb or 16gb version or 128/256gb. i also have an external ssd at home (240gb ssd). and i only can afford more ram or more storage. i also have a really good pc (r5 2600 rtx2060 16gb ram) for heavier tasks like gaming and vm's. thanks for your help. Left shift+control+option don't work Posted: 25 Feb 2020 07:34 AM PST I replaced the keyboard on my 2016 MBP/nTB and now the left shift, control, and option keys don't work. I've been trying to reset the SMC, but it requires precisely these 3 keys to be depressed, which is suspicious. Everything else works perfectly. Now, I can remap the keys, but it's not super convenient, and I'd rather try to fix this. I've reinstalled the OS, and have cleaned nvram. I've also disconnected the battery for a bit, but I don't think that did the trick. I've also tried using an external Apple keyboard to reset the SMC, but that didn't work. After a brief googling it looks like this is an issue after keyboard replacements, but I haven't found a good solution. Does anybody have a suggestion how to reset SMC, or fix this specific error? File on desktop that does not exist Posted: 25 Feb 2020 07:19 AM PST I accidentally created a folder that has a period in the beginning of the folder name (example .thumbnails). I get a message saying that the folder exists, but I can't find it anywhere. It disappeared when I renamed it by accidentally putting the period in the front. Any ideas? [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Feb 2020 05:46 AM PST Hey guys, I bought my MacBook back in 2015 and started making music not long ago. However, I've run out of space so much that I can't even update anything and I really don't want to lose my Logic projects. I've used a Mac cleaner app and the space just seems to fill back up somehow! Does anybody know how I can get more space internally or externally, for a cheap price if there is a cost. Thanks!
