[News] unc0ver v4.2.0 is NOW OUT - Fix for system services on A12-A13, iOS 13.0-13.3 support for A8-A11 and more

    Last updated at: 02/25/2020

02/25/2020 - v4.2.0 was released for production with the following changes:

    ### ⚠️ Support development with: PayPal https://www.paypal.me/pwn20wnd - Patreon https://www.patreon.com/pwn20wnd ⚠️

    - Fix issues with system services on A12-A13 (i.e. iMessage notifications)

    - Add iOS 13.0-13.3 support for A8-A11 devices

    - Fix temporary freeze after the jailbreak completed alert

    Important Notes:

    - You must reboot in order to install this update if you are already jailbroken

    - u/_Pwn20wnd's substitute bootstrap tooling is used on A8-A11 devices running iOS 13.0-13.3 for battery saving features, improved performance and compatibility reasons

    - There is no particular reason to switch to the unc0ver jailbreak if you are already running the checkra1n jailbreak (Other than the convenience of being able to re-jailbreak your device without a computer)

    - Your jailbreak apps and tweaks will be preserved when switching from the checkra1n jailbreak for A8-A11

    - You can switch back to the checkra1n jailbreak while preserving your jailbreak apps and tweaks but you will need to manually install Cydia Substrate from Cydia after switching back

    - All devices running iOS 13.0-13.3 are now supported

    - The connected Apple Watch may re-sync after jailbreak. It will take around a minute or two and it won't touch your data

    Get it at: https://unc0ver.dev

    EDIT: Typo: A9-A11, not A8-A11.

[Release] Cartella, Bolders for iOS13 and way more!

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 12:37 PM PST

    https://imgur.com/a/PxAq9Cw

Hey all, the bolders look is achieved by default, but you can achieve all of these looks in the photo album as well

    OPEN SOURCE! https://github.com/Burrit0z/Cartella

    https://m.imgur.com/a/V6LdjRW?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

    Compatibility: iOS 13 and up

    Introducing Cartella (beta)

    Repo: https://burrit0z.github.io/repo

Bolders for iOS 13 and WAY more! (Literally the beat folder tweak ever)

We all remember Bolders, that awesome tweak that broke on iOS 13, which had made all of our folders look so good! Now, introducing Cartella, Italian for folder. Take control over the tiny details of your folders, and make them look BEAUTIFUL!!!

    Dynamic!

Cartella is (mostly) dynamic, so you won't need to respring to apply most options!

    Features List:

    • Custom folder rows
    • Custom folder columns
    • Hide folder icon blur
    • Hide folder background
    • Pinch the folders in vertically (custom height)
    • Pinch them in sideways (side pinch factor)
    • Full Screen Folders (like Bolders)
    • Hide the pages and dock in folders
    • Hide the blur on the wallpaper in folders (I recommend you turn on hide the pages and dock in folders as well for this option)
    • OLED folders (pure black background)
    • Bold Titles (like Bolders)
    • Choose the size of the folder title (Hidden, Large, Regular)
    • Align the title to the left, center, or right!
    • Close folders by options of tap to close and pinch to close (or both)
    • Resize the Grid preview of the folder icon
    • Hide all SpringBoard labels
    • Hide all SpringBoard page dots

    Change log:

    • Version 0.5:
      • This is the initial release of Cartella. (Cartella is not complete yet, and still considered a beta. 0.5 is the first version I will publicly release!)
      • HomePlus compatibility will be added in the next HomePlus release. (I'm working with /u/_kritanta!)

Special thanks to these beta testers, there where more, but these were the ones who stuck it out from start until end:

[Tutorial] Nepeta's Relocate Guide on 13.3

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 07:09 PM PST

I see a lot of location spoofing questions and requests so I thought I would show that Relocate can still work.

    1. Add source http://chr0nict.github.io/Nepeta-Mirror/
    2. Download Relocate from that source
    3. Add source http://revulate.dev/
    4. Download libpackageinfo (SparkDev)

Relocate should now be working and shouldn't crash during settings.

Relocate takes a while to finally start working but does work for SnapMaps and for Find My. The way to check is to look at "My Devices" in Find My.

The best way to use Relocate is to set your location under Global Override and Enable that. Then the top Enabled switch to on. From there your location should be changed.

[Discussion] @akusio_RR Kernel Level Jailbreak Bypass Working on PokeGo/FateGO

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 09:39 AM PST

[Question] Anyone else’s battery info keep loading but never show up on unc0ver 4.2?

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 01:28 PM PST

[Discussion] unc0ver for A13 on 13.3 has been just as stable for me as checkra1n is on my iPX! Is this anyone else’s experience too?

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 09:00 PM PST

I'm not talking about the bugs - those have been minor (for me) and they've been fixed. Same thing happened with the first few releases of checkra1n.

On my iP11 Pro I have not had a single freeze, stutter, random respring, or reboot on ANY of the releases of unc0ver. No app crashes, nothing. Seriously, not even the slightest hint of a glitch.

The only other jailbreak in recent times to give me that kind of experience has been checkra1n. You'd expect that from checkra1n as it has a HUGE architectural advantage being a bootROM exploit jb. But this is a semi-untethered jb, using substitute and PACless along with all of the hacks and workarounds needed to subvert and evade security. You'd think it would be rife with problems but nope.

And because it's an A13 phone, it's significantly faster and more performant than my iPX using checkra1n. And of course, it's semi-untethered which brings the convenience benefits.

I'm sure u/_pwn20wnd won't see this, but dude... thank you SO much! You've really created something beautiful and amazing. You've honestly done a perfect job on this. And of course thanks to Brandon Azad for getting tfp0, and Jake James for making it reliable!

Anyone else having a good time with this jb?

PS - I only mentioned that it's a Substitute jb because relative to Substrate, its a newer project built on top of Comex's code, with novel implementations for PACless. On the other hand, Saurik has had many many years to create and perfect the masterpiece that is Substrate. Despite that inequity, pwn has tailored Substitute to perform just as well and accomplish the same tasks on arm64e phones.

[Tutorial] Reproduce Avdan's iOS 14 concept right now!

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 10:13 AM PST

I saw this video by Avdan, who makes amazing concepts of software, and it struck me- You can do practically everything he has shown with a jailbreak!

So I've decided to compile a list of tweaks that may get you to a similar setup. Let's get started

    1. [[Kalm]] (the concept lockscreen)
    2. [[Axon]] (notification grouping on the AOD). There is also [[Grupi]]. Unfortunately, Axon is not getting official updates, because the dev left the community.
    3. [[AOD]] (always on display). Alternatively: Lisa 2, ShortLook. Or use together. There may be other tweaks for that, that I do not know about.
    4. SnowBoard (A theming engine. Custom icons for the home screen, hundreds of themes available, both paid and free)
    5. Boxy 4 (home screen layout manager)
    6. CallBarXS (the smaller non obstructing call UI)
    7. SmallSiri (small siri, duh. CallBarXS form factor siri)
    8. BarMoji (emoji bar in the keyboard)
    9. BrowserDefault (changing the default browser app)

Keep in mind, developers worked hard on those tweaks, hence some of them are paid. Please do not pirate tweaks. Instead, seek an alternative, or simply do not use it. Be thankful to developers who release their tweaks for free.

You are not entitled, developers do not owe you anything.

As far as I know, there is currently no tweak for custom default apps or the exact same redesigned settings for modern iOS :(. Feel free to suggest if I missed one, and I'll add it!

[Question] Are there any working google widgets for iOS 13.3?

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 04:58 PM PST

[Request] A tweak to keep apps open in the background forcefully

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 09:15 PM PST

Apparently Apple "fixed" memory management issues in iOS 13.3, but I disagree. They made it better, but not like iOS 12. I still have apps closing on me all the time. I'm sick of it too. Is there a tweak like Battery Waster for iOS 13 that forces apps to stay open? I usually keep a max of 4-5 apps open the background which isn't bad. I don't mind manually closing apps. I just want a tweak that can keep them open.

[HELP] I'm wanting to create a tweak to move an app to a certain folder. I have 6 years of programming experience but nothing with xcode or the iOS file system.

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 05:54 PM PST

    Use Case:

    1. Download the app
    2. 3D touch (or hold, depending on device) on the app and click a Move to Folder button.
    3. A list of your folders comes up and you click which folder to move the app to.

I have #zero experience with anything iOS/Apple programming so any help is appreciated. I have everything installed (Windows machine, so WSL and Theos) and I've "created" my tweak (generic commented out file). Wanted to post here to see if anyone could supply helpful docs or give me pointers while I read around on developers.apple.com

    Thanks!

[Discussion] Just upgraded my 6S+ from 12.4 to 13.3 using my saved blobs.

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 11:16 PM PST

Currently (at the time of posting) only 13.3.1 is being signed for 6S+.

    Initially I tried this

    futurerestore.exe -t 6S133.shsh2 --latest-sep --latest-baseband iPhone_5.5_13.3_17C54_Restore.ipsw

    but it did not work.

    The error was

" could not get buildmanifest of latest firmware " [Error] Fail code=-22

Then I downloaded the latest iOS 13.3.1 IPSW file extracted the baseband file, SEP file & manifest file.

    used this command.

    futurerestore.exe -t 6S133.shsh2 -s sep-firmware.n66.RELEASE.1331.im4p -m BuildManifest1331.plist -b Mav13-7.30.02.Release.1331.bbfw -p BuildManifest1331.plist iPhone_5.5_13.3_17C54_Restore.ipsw

Upgrade worked fine. Base band & SEP working fine.

    I used Windows 7 , futurerestore v245

thanks to those who are supporting jailbreak community such as apple, futurerestore, unc0ver, etc.

    [Update] QuickLS V2 now available

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 12:40 PM PST

Dave just updated QuickLS to bring an awaited request : Multiples Shortcuts !

You can now press the shortcut button which will show a list of apps you have previously enabled in the tweak preferences, and pressing them will open the app you want directly from the lockscreen. You can also edit the size of the icons to make it smaller (or extra fat).

For those who don't know : QuickLS replace the 2 shortcuts (lamp, and photo) or add them to older device (6,7,8) and allow the user to select which applications are enabled so you can use these shortcuts to access the app without the need to search it in the springboard.

QuickLS is available in the twickd repo for only 0,99$

    tweet : https://twitter.com/DaveWijk/status/1232384574816182277

Note : if you enjoy the tweak, go say thanks to dave's twitter as the dev recently had a difficult life moment and that's why he couldn't fullfil this request sooner.
