    Good “mindless” games?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 09:51 PM PST

Any games with no story or complicated gameplay? Something you would be able to play and listen to a podcast at the same time.

Moonshades: an old-school dungeon crawler RPG

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 05:36 AM PST

Moonshades is a dungeon crawler role-playing game to restore the immersive atmosphere and experience of the old-school RPG's.

In the Moonshades' fantasy you can roam through an adventurous, labyrinthine underground world loaded with ancient magic and myths embedded in a compelling story. Wandering in this realm among the nesting monsters, a great amount of revelation and captivating missions wait for you with crafty traps, hidden nooks and corners, tricky elements and challenging quests over the ever tactical combats and spatial puzzles.

    App store link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/moonshades-dungeon-crawler-rpg/id1492040231

About me: while working in a full-time job (not in the game industry), I'm also an indie developer and gamer. Making Moonshades is the culmination of a long-felt desire since I was a child without a computer or smartphone, who could hardly wait to get to 'dungeon' parties, armed with dice, paper, pens, and my own tales. When Eye of the Beholder and Wizardry appeared, I was completely enchanted.

    Free, Consumer Friendly Games?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 12:23 AM PST

The only 2 games on my phone are EAs free Tetris and Crossy Road. Fun, easy, pick up and put down games with addicting gameplay. That's all I'm looking for. I don't want a game that shoves ads in my face between every "match" but don't mind seeing p2w as long as there's still an enjoyable game to be had.

    Suggestions?

Rise of Horizon - The journey to reach new heights

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 05:37 AM PST

    Hey guys,

Me and 2 friends published a mobile game called Rise of Horizon under the name Phantombox. In the last updates we have added new maps, a christmas event and released a performance Update.

It's available on Google Playstore as well as IOS and we would really appreciate any feedback here or in the respective app store.

    Apple: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rise-of-horizon/id1467551497

As a first impression here is a trailer showing the basic mechanics of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z53VJK1MrmQ

Notice: The video is now a bit old and does not show the new level mode.

Also, thanks for the opportunity to get feedback for our game through this thread. Of course, we are also open to give feedback for games of other developers.

We also have a hard time getting the game out to the people as a small company. We don't have a lot of capital, but we have invested a lot in Google Ads. That worked out well too. But we can't keep that up in the long run. Do you have any tips?

Anyone know what game this is? It appeared in “Truth Be Told” on Apple TV+

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:05 PM PST

The “Surprises” of the day the AppStore is offering are laaaaaaame.

    Posted: 28 Dec 2019 09:37 AM PST

I've only seen discounts in IAP. Where is the AppStore of the past that offered discounts in good games? What about offering discounts in Apple Arcade subscriptions? Or an actual cool game for free? C'mon Apple you're way better than this.

Any casual games that me and two friends can play?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 02:13 PM PST

We don't care about MOBAs or shooters or anything competitive. We are looking for board game-type stuff or puzzles or sports or just something we can play together on our phones.

We'd greatly appreciate any suggestions, as we are all studying in different countries and I'm way too busy to game on my PC at home with them so we're looking for phone stuff.

    Best JRPG ports?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 11:36 AM PST

Tooooons are on sale right now—Final Fantasy games, Dragon Quest games, etc. I have an iPhone 6S and will likely upgrade to the newest iteration next holiday season. I also have an Xbox One bluetooth controller all ready to go. What are your favorite ports?

    Fran Bow

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 06:26 PM PST

Is Fran Bow a good mobile game or should I just buy it on Mac and play it off of there? Has anyone played through all of the chapters on iPhone or iPad?

Games like Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen?

    Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:04 PM PST

    Hi,

Looking for a open world first person spaceship game similar to ED and SC on pc? Xbox controller support would also be nice.

Don't care how text based it is or "action packed". Prefer the slow exploration stuff anyway.

    Thanks
