Difference between resolution and ppi Posted: 23 Nov 2019 03:39 PM PST So that's my question, what is this difference? The iPhone 11 has a resolution of 828x1792. This means that it cannot watch a true 1080p video. Is that because it's first set of numbers is 828 and thus not enough? It also has a ppi of 326. Now the iPad Pro has a resolution of 2048x2732. So this can watch a 1080p video since it's first set of numbers are above 1080. This however has a ppi of 265. So does that mean the iPhone 11 is sharper (higher ppi) than the iPad Pro but can't watch as high definition a video? How does that even make sense? [link] [comments]

Anyone else had hardware issues with iphone 8 plus? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 10:39 AM PST Recently after buying mine it died for 8 months with hardware failure. I never traded it in for a new one, etc etc. Worked again after an update. But I keep having reoccurring issues like certain apps not working. Random restarts, patches of pixels turning pink and then going back - very weird behaviour. And after the most recent update the camera stopped working inkling. The flash alone. It only works once a week, you could say. I'm not interested in fixing it as I've deemed it a lost cause, however I was wondering how many other people experienced the same issues? For the record - never been dropped, never touched water, not a single crack on the screen. [link] [comments]
Manufacturing defect on a newly purchased 11 pro max Posted: 23 Nov 2019 04:06 PM PST Just purchased an 11 Pro Max online in India via Flipkart and out of the box, I noticed a tiny scratch on the phone's camera. The phone is not even an hour hold and hasn't even been even turned on it. What should I do? There's no official Apple store in the country and the website I purchased from does not refund/replace and instead askes to take it to an apple service centre. There's no way in hell I can live with this scratch or let them 'repair' my 1-hour old phone, what can I do? Anybody has an experience, will/do they replace phones with such faults? Is the iPhone 11 screen really that bad? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 04:02 PM PST I'm looking forward to but and iPhone 11 but people are saying the iPhone 11 screen is not that good, has the same ppi as the iPhone 4, and that the screen is not even 1080p. Is it really that bad? [link] [comments]
What apps do tech nerds recommend? Posted: 23 Nov 2019 09:58 AM PST I'm looking for apps to bring out my inner nerd. I already run CPU-X, it's decent but basic. Do any similar performance type apps exist for iOS? Or just any good tech apps in general? [link] [comments] |
