| Does iOS have any good CRPGs that are mobile exclusive? Posted: 27 Nov 2019 10:33 AM PST So I'm a fan of classic CRPGs. Think Fallout 1 & 2, Arcanum, VTM:Bloodlines, Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Exile/Avernum, etc. Some of these like Planescape Torment, the Avernum series, and Baldur's Gate are ported to iOS, which is great. However I'm curious - are there any good CRPGs that aren't ports, but are actually mobile or iOS exclusive? The reason I ask is while the classic ports are perfectly playable, they control exactly like how you'd expect a PC game ported to mobile to control. I'd love to play some story-driven, very deep RPGs, that were originally built with mobile in mind, for me to play on my iPad. Not to mention, I've already played most of the classics to death, so I'm craving something new. My two favourite RPGs of all time would be Arcanum and Morrowind, if that gives you any ideas. VTM:Bloodlines and Exile III: The Ruined World would be close runners up. I like dialogue, questing, and freedom in how I develop my character rather than being constrained to character classes. I also like them to be open-ended/open-world rather than linear. I know this is a genre that tends to lend itself to being played with a keyboard and mouse, so I'm not getting my hopes up that there are many options on iOS beyond ports, but hey - it can't hurt to ask, right? :) [link] [comments]  | ||
