GameCenter and cloud progress saves—is this dead? Posted: 31 Aug 2019 08:14 AM PDT I feel like a few years ago I could go to the settings in at least half of the games I was playing and find some option to allow me to save my progress to the cloud, through GameCenter or something. Then if I logged in on my iPad after saving on my iPhone, I could continue where I left off. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think a single game I'm playing now does that. I thought I read a while ago that Apple removed GameCenter, but I still get that banner pop-up when I open games, and can track achievements in it (I think). Is there a reason games these days don't allow for cloud progress saves, or do they and I'm just missing something? [link] [comments]

I just release Actio, a minimalist activities tracker for iOS Posted: 31 Aug 2019 07:49 AM PDT Later edit: I carefully read each of your feedback and you may be right, it was not the best decision to put a subscription at this step. As a result, I will change the payment model to include ONLY one fee that will unlock all the features in the app (I don't know the exact amount now, but it will be <=$5). If you enjoyed the app, but was off-put by the subscription model, you can download the app for free and wait for my next update which will be rolled out probably next week and which will contain the changes mentioned above. Thank you again for your feedback! For the past few months I've been working on my first iOS, and now I am happy to announce that it's finally here 🙏🏻 Actio is a simple and minimalist productivity app which helps you keep track of your daily activities. I would really appreciate (and need) your feedback so check out my ProductHunt post here: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/actio Download link: https://apple.co/2MKEn7C [link] [comments]
Posted: 31 Aug 2019 08:47 PM PDT Hey guys! I just released an app on the App Store that is a social media platform for people to post pictures to inspire other people. It is called Motivation Monday. Also, you can choose tags in the app to see posts related to topics that inspire you the most and that fit with your goals. Another feature is that you can log your moods in a journal and choose whether you want to display that mood on your profile for 30 minutes and/or send a notification to your followers about your current mood so that others can support you no matter what your mood. I would love for you guys to try it out and let me know what you think! [link] [comments]
I found a way to use Apple Pay at Walmart (NOT CLICKBAIT) Posted: 31 Aug 2019 04:43 PM PDT As we all know, you can't use Apple Pay at Walmart the usual way since Walmart would rather you use their own QR-based system. But recently, I ended up finding a legit way to technically use Apple Pay at Walmart by accident. The cash back app "Ibotta" recently added a feature to allow you to pay for your order at a number of major retailers with their app and earn a percentage of your total as cashback. How it works is that at check out, you open the app, enter your checkout total, pay with your credit or debit card, and then show the barcode on the screen to the cashier (it's like buying a mobile gift card on the spot). Well, even more recently, they not only added Walmart as an option, but they also added the ability to use Apple Pay as a payment method Yup, you can technically now use Apple Pay at Walmart. And Apple Card holders can now get 2% cash back at Walmart (in addition to the cash back through Ibotta) as well. [link] [comments]
Checkout my new app Hostend - Party Hosting in a Few Taps Posted: 31 Aug 2019 04:57 AM PDT Hostend is a new app I've been working on for awhile now, and I would like to eventually release it to the App Store. I am going to release it today with a public beta. Here's what my app is all about... it basically takes away the trouble that comes along with inviting people to parties and events through group chats and mailing. It simplifies things so much. It is easy to create a party and invite people with only their phone number. Also, the app contains a lot of other cool features like a simple "What to Bring?" list. New features will be released soon! It's is very basic right now, but I want to make sure the basic things come first, and all of the fun add-ons get released later. You will need iOS 11.2 or later to test it out. Also, avoid hosting large parties with a lot of guests using the app. The app is not ready for that just yet. Try to keep it for a smaller get-together. Link to Hostend in TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/jXmGFfp6 Thanks for testing it out!
