Mirror Archive for all macOS installers Posted: 11 May 2019 01:05 PM PDT It feels like Apple is restricting it's developers yet again. As some of you may know. it is now not possible to download an older version of macOS on Mojave. The problem is that I need to run some versions of macOS as virtual machines to do some testes. Luckily, a friend was still running on macOS High Sierra so I managed to download macOS Sierra 10.12.6 installer. Apparently, Apple introduced a new charge since macOS 10.12.4 that stops it from being installed on VirtualBox (even if the host is a Mac) Long story short, I'm getting sick of being treated like I'm doing something wrong or forbidden. Why is it so damn hard to get older versions of macOS! This is when I wondered if there is some mighty place that hosts all macOS installer apps independent from Apple's servers. Am I just going about this wrongly? what am I supposed to do to get macOS Sierra (potentially others) on a VM!? [link] [comments]

Mighty mouse does not work properly, when bluetooth keyboard is connected Posted: 11 May 2019 03:49 PM PDT Hey, so I used my MacBook a long time with my external monitor, apples wireless keyboard and mighty mouse. I had sometimes issues with the mouse beeing to slow so I disconnected my external monitor turned bluetooth off and on again and then it worked. After that i reconnected my monitor and all fine. But now the mouse does not work properly the tracker is way to slow. What I figured is when I disconnect my keyboard the mouse works again, when I connect it same problem. I tried deleting those plist files but no help, also did PRAM Reset. No help. Any ideas? [link] [comments]

Mojave and USB sound not working after sleep Posted: 11 May 2019 02:25 PM PDT Howdy, Dell USB sound bar, works fine. Plugged directly into monitor. System goes to sleep. When I wake the machine back up, sound is mute because it's now back to internal speakers rather than the USB ones before sleep. Is there an order I can set so that if it sees a certain output device, it'll use that preferentially? I don't mind it thinking the internal is fine so long as that once everything is awake, USB sound is found and used. thanks! [link] [comments]

Finder - Sort by Name not working Posted: 11 May 2019 09:24 AM PDT When using the Finder, if I select "NAME" in the Sort By dropdown box, it doesn't sort alphabetically. Any ideas why? [link] [comments]
Program suggestions for making slideshows Posted: 11 May 2019 07:22 AM PDT My wife needs to make a high school reunion slideshow of old pictures and music in the background. She doesn't like iPhoto and doesn't want those pictures in that photo library. Is there a free program that allows her to drag and drop pictures. [link] [comments]
Looking at mid range USB-C PD monitor for nTB 2016 MacBook Pro — is 45W enough to power my MacBook? Posted: 11 May 2019 06:30 AM PDT I was looking at this monitor. It says up to 45W over USB-C power delivery. Is this enough to power my MacBook under load without discharging? I'm aware my MacBook has a 61W charger. Otherwise this monitor seems perfect for my casual use case and wants. I'm looking at mid range USB-C PD monitors. 2560x1440 is fine by me, 27" is good, small bezels are a want, speakers aren't wanted (I have my own) IPS/decent display quality is a want, at least one extended USB port is a want. This monitor seems to fulfill all of those wants at a fair $400 price (my upper limit is $400-$500). I'm upgrading from a kinda crappy 2011 1080p 24" monitor, so. [link] [comments] |
