    [Discussion] Let’s talk about Chimera so far.

    Posted: 06 May 2019 12:14 PM PDT

    All I've got to say is great job Electra Team. You've really outdone yourselves! The jailbreak is super-stable. No freezes. No random resprings. No random restarts. The overall performance is so smooth. Personally It feels as if it was stock. The battery life has been great. I know I'm gonna get loads of hate for this, but the Chimera has been a lot more stable and smoother for me than Unc0ver. The only thing that Unc0ver does better than Chimera is the rejailbreaking process. Chimera sucks in the rejailbreaking process. It takes almost 3-4 tries to get the device to rejailbreak. 80% if the time the app crashes on 2/3. If this gets fixed then Chimera is the MVP. :)

    [Tutorial] Removing MDM profile a sort of howto. Not for newbs. You'll likely lose your jailbreak.

    Posted: 06 May 2019 05:38 PM PDT

    I believe I successfully removed a Mobile Device Management profile from my A12 iPhone XS. I'm hoping these instructions will help a developer create a tweak to assist jailbroken users to remove their MDM profiles as well.

    For starters I had previously jailbroken with unc0ver and then installed Chimera. This was useful, because at one point the profile trust for Chimera was accidentally deleted, and I was able to rejailbreak with uncover after rebooting because it had a different profile.

    The changes you'll need to make are in here:

    /private/var/containers/Shared/SystemGroup/systemgroup.com.apple.configurationprofiles/Library/ConfigurationProfiles

    So for starters install Filza.

    Then copy that ConfigurationProfiles directory and paste it so you have a backup in case shit breaks. I'm certain if you messed with the wrong file or edited a file the wrong way you might even fail to be able to boot. So this could make you lose your jailbreak!

    I did a diff of my backup and my changes.

    ConfigurationProfiles/CloudConfigurationDetails.plist

    ! <string>https://XXXXXXXXXXXXX...</string> <key>ConfigurationWasApplied</key> <true/> <key>IsMDMUnremovable</key> ! <integer>1</integer> <key>IsMandatory</key> ! <true/> <key>IsMultiUser</key> <false/> <key>IsSupervised</key> ! <true/> <key>OrganizationEmail</key> ! <string>foo@gmail.com</string>

    The bangs are lines you should change. I changed the url to foo.com

    IsMDMUnremovable -> 1

    IsMandatory->false

    IsSupervised->false

    OrganizationEmail-> change it to something you own.

    ConfigurationProfiles/MDM.plist

     <key>CheckInURL</key> ! <string>https://garbage.net</string> <key>IdentityPersistentRef</key> <key>ServerURL</key> ! <string>https://garbage.net</string> <key>SignMessage</key> ! <true/> <key>Topic</key>

    CheckInURL-> change it to something you control.

    SignMessage -> false

    ConfigurationProfiles/MDMAppManagement.plist

     <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>metadataByBundleID</key> ! <dict> ! <key>com.air-watch.agent</key> ! <dict> ! <key>Attributes</key> ! <dict/> ! <key>flags</key> ! <integer>X</integer> ! <key>state</key> ! <integer>X</integer> ! </dict> ! </dict> </dict> </plist>

    Delete the entire key. The dict should be empty afterward.

    ConfigurationProfiles/PayloadManifest.plist Remove references to guids here in OrderedProfiles

    Lastly there are a bunch of GUID.stub files.

    You need to delete some of them. Some are legit profiles, like whatever you used to install unc0ver or Chimera. But some are the MDM profiles. Perhaps someone knows a way to figure out the difference between them? I did this by comparing with my old iPhone that had only legit profiles. The Guids do not appear to be random, they appear to be identifying.

    I don't know if this is just cosmetic. The Settings app, after a reboot, definitely does NOT show the device management anymore.

    [Discussion] SafeShutdown is a really underrated tweak that I consider “essential” when jailbreaking

    Posted: 06 May 2019 07:16 PM PDT

    I've never really heard anyone talk about this tweak before, and I just found out about it recently. It basically fakes a shutdown so that you don't lose the semi-untethered jailbreak when getting close to your battery dying or if you just need to turn your phone "off". This tweak really doesn't get the attention it deserves, and imo it is one of the essential jailbreaking tweaks for any semi-untethered jb.

    [Help] Could we bring attention to the camera issue with Chimera? If you are effected by the issue please leave a comment below!

    Posted: 06 May 2019 03:35 PM PDT

    Hey everyone! From time and time again, I have a returning issue on iOS 12.1.2 iPhone XS Max. The problem is with the stock and in application cameras. They simply stop working randomly. Camera turns black or is simply blurred, respringing doesn't help. I uninstalled all my tweaks and the issue persisted. It's easy to fix though, by using the ldrestart command in terminal or just rejailbreaking. I just want to bring light to this issue, I hope it's and easy fix not a huge problem within Chimera.

    [Tutorial] Enable Picture-in-Picture in specific apps in A12 Chimera

    Posted: 06 May 2019 01:01 PM PDT

    I found a way to enable PIP for specific apps only in A12 Chimera. This works for YouTube, Netflix, ESPN, and any other app you specify. This does NOT enable PIP system-wide.

    Requirements: PIPEnabler, ForceInPicture 1.1, and YouPIP 0.4.7

    Steps:

    1. Need "plutil" from https://apt.bingner.com repo. This can't be installed normally from Sileo. So you need to open Safari and go to https://apt.bingner.com/debs/550.58/. Download the file "com.bingner.plutil_0.1.0_iphoneos-arm.deb". Save it to Filza. Tap on it and install via Filza.

    2. Now go to Sileo and install ForceInPicture 1.1 and YouPiP 0.4.7 from the repo https://spicat.github.io

    3. Install Cercube or YouTube Tools or YouTube++ to enable YouTube background playback. This specifically enables YouTube PIP.

    4. Install PIPEnabler from https://julioverne.github.io/. This enables system-wide PIP. If this is what you want, skip step 5.

    5. To enable PIP in specific apps only: go to Filza, go to /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/PIPEnabler.plist. Delete "com.apple.UIKit" in the Bundles array. Add the bundle identifiers of apps you want in the array.

    For example: add "com.netflix.Netflix" for Netflix, "com.espn.ScoreCenter" for ESPN, etc.

    Respring. Done

    [Update][Release] Sileo Native Depiction Generator 0.3 Is Finally Here!

    Posted: 06 May 2019 07:10 PM PDT

    Sileo Native Depiction Generator 0.3 is finally here!

    Sileo Native Depiction Generator is a script created in Python and is used to create native depiction files to use for the Sileo application on your repo. The script uses a JSON file with placeholder text inside and when the script runs it creates a copy of that file and replaces the placeholder text with information that the users enters. I created this little project to help developers quickly create depiction files for their packages and to hopefully save them sometime.

    [Tutorial] Finally Import mp3 to Spotify!

    Posted: 06 May 2019 07:29 AM PDT

    Things you will need •Groovify •Mlmport •SafariPlus

    1. First you will need to download Mlmport and SafariPlus from Cydia or Sileo.

    2. Go to SafariPlus and download the mp3 song you want. I usually use ytmp3 (YouTube to mp3 converter)

    3. After you download mp3 go to downloads on safari plus and push the mp3 and push open with and import to Mlmport.

    4. It should take you to Mlmport. When it does add the picture and make the title whatever you want and push import.

    5. Now go to sileo or Cydia and download Groovify.

    6. After downloaded go to settings and go to the tweak Groovify, when there go to features and enable Apple Music Importing.

    7. Now push apply and go to Spotify, and into the settings. And push import your music. Click the song you downloaded to Apple Music.
