| Posted: 16 May 2019 08:04 AM PDT My S3 shut off this morning for no reason. When I got up this morning it was fine. Later on this morning I noticed that the screen was black and the watch is unresponsive. The battery had about 90% when I woke up today. I figured what the hell try something so I put it on the charger. It's now been on the charger for over an hour and still no response to even a reset. The software version was updated yesterday and it seemed to work fine until now. Also another thing to note is that when I go to check the software version of the watch on the phone app, it could not connect to the watch. Any ideas? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Apple Watch shutting off by itself Posted: 16 May 2019 01:53 AM PDT Hi all, I am experiencing an issue with my Series 2 Apple Watch and I am wondering if any of you here might have similar experiences. Since yesterday, my watch has been shutting off by itself at around 3 pm, and I was not able to switch it on at all. At first, I thought the battery must have died, and when I threw it on the charger after getting home (at around 6 pm), it started charging, booted up and showed my that my watch still had over 80% battery life. The same thing happened today again. My watch was fine in the morning, then shut off by itself in the afternoon, and seems to be fine again after a short charge. I will probably get round to bringing it to the apple store to have it looked at, but have any of you had a similar experience, and know what the issue might be? | Posted: 16 May 2019 06:28 AM PDT Hi a new S4 owner here. I am sorry if this is a crazy question, but if you take your watch off, hold it firmly your left hand while grabbing the crown with your thumb(towards the screen) and index finger(towards the sensor) - does the crown move slightly like a see-saw between the front and rear of the watch? You have push the edge towards the screen with your thumb and the one towards the finger with your finger. Its not a lot but I can feel it. Just the edges moves if I use my finger to move it like a see saw between the front and back. Its extremely minor movement. Not like the crown is about to fall off. | Watch never give me haptic feedback for iMessage Posted: 16 May 2019 04:27 AM PDT Anyone have this problem, for the last quople of months I have not received any iMessage notifications with haptic feedback, thez come silently. DND is not on, deliver quiety is NOT on, watch restarted multiple times as the phoen aswell. I went to an apple store when the problem was only occuring here and there, that was a zear ago, now they have stopped completely for iMessage only. | Posted: 16 May 2019 02:56 AM PDT Hello I walked 6KM today and apple watch default activity app calculated that I spent 250 calories. But Runtastic App which I actually run a session, calculated that I spent 450 calories for the same period. After finishing the walking session, Runtastic overwritten the Activity app calories and added the remnant 200 calories into daily log. However I do want to keep my health and activity data from my Watch. Does anybody know if this get's backed up to iCloud? Or is there another way to do this without losing data? Thanks in advance!

| Anyone else experiencing lack of activity updates on 5.2.1? Posted: 15 May 2019 01:39 PM PDT I'm active most of the day, tons of steps which are not getting tracked, stairs climbed not getting tracked, 5-10 minutes of exercise not being saved or updated many hours afterwards even thought it shows the activity below the rings. Very weird, and only since yesterday. And now I got a reminder that I'm usually more active. Did all the rebooting and standing on my head while spinning the crown to make sure it all works. lol Just realized yesterday I was really active, and barely anything was shown. This sucks as it's the primary reason I got this watch. https://imgur.com/cqhMFe5 Edit: Did a half hour workout at night and it updated within minutes. My 5 minute workouts in the morning didn't show (did no restart in between either). Maybe 5 minutes aren't enough to log, but I had 2 minutes logged before. Since the voice overs do not work on the watch itself, I have been recording my runs with the stock Activity App and then manually inputting my runs into the Nike Run Club app to show my progress along the plan that I am on. However on the activity app on my phone, my runs are being recorded twice and so my rings are not being displayed accurately. I have tried deleting one of the runs from the activity app, however both exercises are automatically deleted. Is there a better for recording my runs and still being able to log them into the Nike Run Club app? [link] [comments]  | ||

I love using Strava on my new Apple Watch Series 4 but I feel like there is so much potential for this app to give and show a lot more data during and post workouts (Running, Riding, Swimming, Gym, whatever else you do) even something simple like adding my running cadence (which the Apple Workout App shows) within the app would be a massive step forward and there are many more features that could be easily displayed (Fitness, Fatigue, Form, Relative Effort!!!) | Nike app starting/pausing randomly Posted: 15 May 2019 08:40 PM PDT I bought a new Nike Apple Watch last week and not sure that I love it. First of all, I use the Nike coach program because I'm training for a marathon- I still have to use my iPhone as the watch doesn't deal with the coach programs- I got over that but the Nike app will start randomly- I'll be lying in bed and a voice will say, "starting workout," then 10 seconds later, "pausing workout." There's no rhyme or reason to when this happens- I've followed all of the suggestions- turn off my phone then turn off watch then turn on phone, turn on watch. Unpair and pair again, etc. My next step is to return the watch and go back to a Fitbit which is so much more user friendly. Does anyone have any advice/info that may help me with this problem?
