    Educational Promotion Questions

    Posted: 14 May 2019 06:37 PM PDT

Hey guys! Is there any idea what the upcoming BTS promotion will be? Simply beats wireless headphones again or will it maybe be AirPods!?

The reason I'm asking this is because I'm in between waiting until July to Purchase the MacBook Air to see what the promotion is - but I could also just purchase it now and buy the AirPods with my educational discount savings and Call it a day!!

Any benefit to waiting it out?

My 2013 MBP is still kicking but I'm tired of lugging her around and want to keep her on my desk - any advice is super appreciated!

Correct power supply for an early Macbook

    Posted: 14 May 2019 11:17 PM PDT

Sorry if this is already answered somewhere. I have an early Macbook Core 2 Duo (2,1) and the Magsafe power supply is getting seriously worn. It's too scuffed to read most of the labelling on the P/S, but I believe it's a 65W, with the L-tip. I've heard different opinions about what specifically works with this Macbook - is the specification available somewhere, or even what anyone's had success with for this Macbook. I doubt that lectrician's tape is going to hold it together for a lot longer.

Which one is better value for $1,500?

    Posted: 14 May 2019 09:48 AM PDT

Hi, my girlfriend recently got a scholarship to spend on a new laptop. Debating between the nTB MacBook Pro base with 256gb storage or the MacBook Air with 256gb storage. I was wondering which one is better for the value. Thank you in advance!

We are a Apple acc product designer and design a backpack for laptop.

We are fan of Apple and a team who has many years of experience for designing Apple product acc. We found that much empty space left on many people's backpack and wanted to design a bag which can carry the essential things in your daily life. Functional and minimal. That's why we designed the PRIM, this "just as big as it needs to be" bag has two different ways of carrying for commuting or entertainment.

It will be great to tell us about your thoughts about this backpack! Or what aspects to it can be optimized. Thank you!

It comes with 2 sizes, 13\" and 15\" for macbook or other laptop.

Backpack it or sling it, choose the way you want.

X bag can be added on Y for expandable use.

Macbook loud fans... is it normal?

    Posted: 14 May 2019 08:42 AM PDT

I currently own two macbooks and one of them, tend to generate really loud fans whenever I visit a new website on a new tab using chrome. But the other macbook does not do that, not even when I open up 2-3 new tabs. Is this normal? Even opening up a new tab would cause the fans to get louder and louder. Is it to do with chrome? If so, why does it only affect one macbook and not the other? Or is it more to do with the CPU/GPU? Because the Macbook that has the loud fan noises has a 16gb ram to it.

Is There a Way To Change a Password On a MacBook Air Without Knowing The Original Password But Then Restoring The Original Password ??

    Posted: 14 May 2019 06:19 PM PDT

I need to get on to a friends MacBook Air and I would like to do it without them knowing. I have no idea what their password is but I have been Googling it and the only thing I can do is go through Restoration Mode and reset their password but if I do that then they will know I have used their MacBook Air because they won't be able to log in as they won't know their new password that I created. Is there a way for me to change their password, do what I need to do and then delete my new password so that it goes back to my friends original password, which I don't know ??

Anyone else experience screen not turning on with macbook pro?

    Posted: 14 May 2019 07:41 AM PDT

I've had this macbook pro for a year or so and randomly, when I try to wake the mac (when unfolding it) the screen would not turn on (but the touch bar would turn on and the rest of the computer turns on - I can hear the fan and such). I usually have to reboot to get the screen to come back on.

    Macbook Pro battery

    Posted: 14 May 2019 03:49 AM PDT

My Macbook Pro (13 inch, Early 2015) battery has become quite degraded after only about 2.5 years of use. Coconutbattery says the design capacity is 44% and in the menu bar Apple is recommending 'Replace now'. I'm just wondering does it matter how bad my battery is if I just use it with a power adapter on all the time? I heard something like if a Macbook doesn't have a battery the CPU becomes significantly slower, is this true if the battery charge is simply much lower than its design capacity?
