This is how the New Apple TV App looks outside the US. (Mexico) Posted: 13 May 2019 02:42 PM PDT Here's a look of the app outside the US and the features missing from the US version. https://imgur.com/gallery/drE1hCD
I was really looking forward to this, a hub to watch all the shows/movies/sports in one place from all the subscriptions I have. I understand the differences between countries and everything that this app has behind, what doesn't cope to me is giving an useless app in my country where I can't have the features the rest of the world have. But I want to show how different are some apps between the OS in different countries, we don't have Apple Pay neither Apple News and most of the times we receive half-baked products just like the new TV app and I don't expect anything from Apple TV+ because it will have the same DRM issues the app has. Note: I have a subscription for HBO and FOX, both are seen in the video and prompted to watch in their respective application. [link] [comments] |

Missed Opportunity Not Integrating News+ with Apple TV Posted: 13 May 2019 01:19 PM PDT Apple has been pushing more with making Apple TV a platform for a wholly integrated television program experience. While efforts like tv channels are a step in the right direction, I feel like Apple TV is sorely missing in the video news department. And given the recent News+ and its shortcomings, Apple would've made the service loads more attractive with TV integration features. Imagine having a news subscription where you could get your "newspaper/magazine" content on your iPhone/iPad, and get video content on your TV (with added 'tv channels' for CNN, Fox, NBC etc.). We got dedicated tabs in the TV App for Movies, Shows, and even Sports. News I feel would be a natural addition to these offerings. [link] [comments] |
