wow, using mac on my 2018 macbook for the first time instead of bootcamp Posted: 19 Feb 2019 10:56 PM PST and the speakers sound WAYYYY better... is it just because of the native drivers? everything is smooth too, no glitches like windows 10 on bootcamp. i never realized how shit windows was [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Feb 2019 10:38 PM PST So my MBP Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015, only charges when it's closed. If I open it, it might still charge, but the second I open any program, charging stops. The problem persists after I did a Factory Reset, SMC Reset, tried with another charger, tried apple support, much research... All battery data shows a healthy battery, same with any component temperature. Any idea what this could be? (I'm in a country with no Apple store and Apple experts couldn't find the issue while chatting) Thx much. [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Feb 2019 06:35 PM PST I bought a MacBook pro 2015 model 2.9 GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 256 gb it has about 17 charge cycles. It's mint. Like new. Basically I waited about 3.5 weeks for it after I won the auction on eBay. It didn't show so I bought another one. This one was a 2017 model with 2.3 GHz and 8 gb of ram. It has about 80 charge cycles. The 2017 benchmarks higher. The 2017 looks nicer. I'm wondering. Which one should I keep? They're worth a dollar amount based on what I found. Thanks for your help [link] [comments]
Anyone seen this kind of display issue before? Posted: 19 Feb 2019 06:16 PM PST It does this randomly throughout the day, usually only for 5-10 seconds or so multiple times a day. It varies in severity to pretty minor like this picture, to severe enough you can't see the screen, and it happens on both the built in display and external. I'm guessing it's some kind of issue with the graphics card, but I'm hoping I can just ignore it for a while... It's not too disruptive at this point. [link] [comments]
Macbook Air 2018 silent click seems to be not working! Posted: 19 Feb 2019 11:33 AM PST My friend bought a new 2018 Macbook Air today, but when she enables the option for silent clicking, nothing happens! Is this a common/known issue? [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Feb 2019 09:58 AM PST I bought my first Macintosh ever a few weeks ago, a 2018 MacBook Pro 13" base model. It's been great so far, and I'm seeing no reason to go back to Windows other than for games. The Apple ecosystem is too strong. With that being said, I haven't installed any third party apps or extensions to my Mac because I want to keep it as dead stock as possible and because of the small hard drive space of 265 GBs. However, I'm over watching ads on Youtube so I want to get an ad blocker. What are some other pure essential apps to download regardless if they're free or not. I'm ok with dropping some money if the app is without a doubt essential. [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Feb 2019 05:26 PM PST I'm looking for shoulder laptop bags that are kinda sleek if possible, but also have an inner pocket for the actual laptop that is at least a bit raised above the very bottom of the bag, so that if I put it on the ground, the laptop isn't hitting/tapping the hard ground each time. anyone have good recommendations? hard to tell with the reviews online sometime. I actually have an old Targus one that is so nice and economical, but the inner pocket won't fit this macbook. [link] [comments]

Posted: 19 Feb 2019 04:20 AM PST Hi guys, For all of my personal use I have a 2015 Macbook Air and it still works super smooth, the only issue is that my ssd is almost full (128 GB, yep I know..). So I started looking at external drives and they where pretty expensive. I realized that my mom has an old macbook pro. That, in her words, is not working anymore. So I started looking into it, and quickly realized it was just the battery (internet says it is a common problem with this model). I wiped the hdd and it's working pretty good now, only when connected to the power-cable tho. Now my question is: Do you guys think it's worth upgrading? I want to use it for music production, so I can relieve my Macbook Air of some heavy programs. I'll give some more info on the Pro: Early 2011 Currently running OSX Lion 2 Ghz i7 8 gb ram Intel HD-video 3000 512mb Is it worth the investment? It needs a new battery and a ssd. BTW forgot to mention: the trackpad popped out a little, I think it's because of the battery malfunction. Maybe it has swollen a little bit. idk. I hope you guys can help me. :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Feb 2019 11:09 AM PST Also should I worry about the functionality of the laptop? I got it new in 2017, it's the 13inch one without the touch screen bar on the keyboard. Sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable on tech How should I clean my keys so that they don't feel as gunky when I type? [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Feb 2019 08:05 AM PST Hey guys... Does anyone know of a cross compatible external hard drive that I can use with Mac and PC? Is this a thing? I have a PC desktop that I use for gaming and photo editing and I am getting a MBP. I was looking at external hard drives for the MBP but I'm just curious if it's possible to have an external that works with both at the same time? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
