Posted: 19 Feb 2019 03:00 PM PST I'm on latest OS (12.1.4) happens with generally all apps/browsers, but most especially Spotify and my mobile banking app. For whatever reason my phone will drop all connection and then pick back up in about 30 seconds. Not sure what I should do to troubleshoot besides restarting phone. Needless to say that hasn't worked though. [link] [comments]  |

The phone is on iOS 11.2.6 and have been for over a year now, phone is also jailbroken which it has been for a couple months. Alright turned FaceTime on and off, hard reset my phone yada yada. After I reconnected the screen (I took off and reconnected the 3 cables on the upper right) the picture came back, but TouchID says, that it can't be activated on that phone. I'm pretty sure, that I didn't break the cables and I've done this several times. I once had the same problem a few months ago, and didn't care that much, since it's only a spare phone. The phone was updated to a newer iOS-Version and touchID started to work again on it's own. Is there a certain order in which the cables have to be connected to the board, or are there any other things I might have done wrong? It's the original screen and the original home-button as well. | Home button haptics on 8+ giving out week after replacing screen Posted: 19 Feb 2019 02:16 PM PST I replaced my screen maybe a week or two ago as I'd cracked my home button, nothing major. Last night it did the usual no haptics for a couple seconds…that then turned into an hour…then all night…now it's the next day and it's the same thing. Restart the device, you say? DOESN'T do shit, in fact I think it made it worse restarting because it booted up with the unresponsive button immediately. touch ID still works, and I can go to my homescreen, but it's irritating as fuck because it's hard to tell when I'm actually clicking. changing the click preference does jack shit either. sometimes it'll work normally but as soon as I rejoice it goes right back to not working. nothing's changed settings wise so what gives? I've already used one of my AppleCare+ accident damage chances. Upgrading is looking more and more promising just because I'm tired of this home button nonsense... [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 19 Feb 2019 12:41 PM PST I have gigs of free storage space on my iPhone 8 and my iCloud account. Every time I open a movie file in my photos app, it downloads it from the cloud. I close the movie, open it up again and the circle-spinny thing happens, the movie's opening frame sits there until the movie clip has downloaded, then it starts playing. I close the movie, open it again, it downloads again. If I'm out in the world, away from wifi, I don't want this to happen as I have a smaller data plan. I can't find any setting like "keep all photos and movies on the iPhone". Any suggestions? Thanks, [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 19 Feb 2019 10:04 AM PST I accidentally hit the close all tabs in my private mode. I still see all the pm sites in the advance settings on my iPhone. Just wanted to know if I do a Restore Backup from an earlier point will it show the regular tabs plus the private tabs again or will it only show regular mode tabs? Attempted to just try the look for safari in app data route but no luck coming across it. Any advice, if you know of a tool that would let me access my stored private mode bookmarks. | iPhone X - brightness is all off lately. Posted: 19 Feb 2019 12:57 AM PST Hey guys, I noticed lately that my iPhone x's Display brightness is acting weird. It started when I notice my whites are whites anymore, they're blue-ish. So I turned True Tone on and kinda ignored it. But today I also noticed something weird - when I turn down the brightness, it only changes when I reach its midway point. I drag the bar down, and you can only see apparent change after the middle of the brightness bar is reached. I also feel like the max brightness isn't what it used to be like a few days ago. Also today I had sudden jumps in brightness, I wouldn't touch the brightness settings but suddenly the screen would get way brighter (like it used to be a few days ago at max brightning) and then go back to "normal" (which is actually not normal). I have auto brightness turned off, and I tried it with and without True Tone. What should I do? [link] [comments]  |
